Maybe because of Rollo's sweet talk, maybe it was a one time thing, but it still was cheating. In the end it was her fate that cheated on her, her fate that didn't let her live with Ragnar. 💔

Seeing Ragnar at his lowest and realizing how hes just a “ man” really shook me. Amazing writing, I never fell for a character like this, even after all the great series I’ve watched, GOT, breaking bad Walter white, etc. I was waiting for Ragnar to rise again in season 4… only to see him fall for good. You thought he was a god, amazing writing again. First character I loved.

This was Ragnars loving goodbye to Lagertha, but also him passing on the duty of the progressing their culture to her. He knew she was the only one who could do it.
Uhm except she doesn’t.. she dies like 2 years after him. And if he really wanted someone to unite and lead the way, the obvious choice was not lagertha it was bjorn.

I don't see this as being sad. It's not a regret. It's simply a wise man now understanding and acknowledging what he sacrificed to achieve greatness.
He would be warm on the farm still. Happy with his wife and potentially two children, and even grandsons had his daughter survived. He would have a nice life, but not a great life.
He loved being great. Not being king, not being a leader, but just being great and seeking glory and being famous among his people. He was proud of the name he made for himself and proud of his children. He was not sad. He died happy and great.

Ragnar and Lagartha should have never been separated. I don’t know what the writer and producer were thinking. When Ragnar died Vikings weren’t the same for me. The main character should have never died so early on the show.
