Good to see you again on the boat! Looking forward to the future watching your videos
Thanks, Geraldine! Its good to be back!
Neat video. Boats looking good. I'm assuming your boat has air conditioning. Safe travels.
Hey Ronco! Sorry we've been out of touch, we were without wifi for a few days while sailing. Our boat does have air-conditioning however only in our aft cabin (bedroom) at the moment. Our forward AC unit broke and is waiting replacement.....at some point when we do a haulout.
Good videos I enjoy watching you're a nice couple. Thank's for sharing
Thanks Dianne! Hope you continue to follow our journey!
Yay, back on the boat. :)
Would covering your prop with a trash bag and a zip tie for two months keep the barnacles off?
Perhaps... I have read of people doing that. Either way I'd have to get in the nasty marina water though! 🤮
Seems like whatever dinghy motor you have is powerful reliable...? Was it new when you started? What kind of outboard is it? I've seen lots of sailing videos with people struggling with crappy outboards for their dinghy.
Our dinghy engine is a Suzuki 20hp. We bought it new before we left. Since our dinghy is essentially our car, we wanted to make sure it is relaible. The only issue we have had so far is the mounting bracket has busted. But otherwise no issues! 🙌
@@SailingOneLife hopefully it continues to work nicely.
Ever important meds! And man look at Brooklyn's guns!!! 😊😊
Tehehehe they are so important! And thanks Molly! Stick arms 😜
Loved this episode…..really fun watching all of the fix-it accomplishments. 🙌
Curious how easy it is for Gary given his mechanical engineering background?
My background definitely helps, I really do love solving problems and being hands on with machinery. The hardest part for me is figuring out how to fix stuff so often without access to the right tools or parts, but I guess that's half the fun! 👍
Great video. Happy to see you back on the water...blessings for smooth sailing. 👍🇺🇸
Thank you!! Excited to be back on the water and sailing again! 🤙
Good Stuff👍🏻👱🏻♀🧔🏻
Thanks, Richard!
Looks like there’s a lot of work to be done,
Yup, on every boat there is always work to be done!
You are a braver man than I could ever be. I would have sailed out with no motor and cleaned the prop in clear water - no way I would have gone into that marina water. Especially after seeing all the larvae on your suit.
The prop was so bad I seriously doubted whether we would have been able to back out of the slip and make the turn without cleaning it first. But yeah, a pretty gnarly job for sure
@@SailingOneLife Oh, no doubt you did the right thing. But, man, that took some guts to do.
That shirt! 🎄 just should be known as “the Barbuda”
And apparently 'the Puerto Rico' as well. 🤣
You do know that icom stands for I Can Only Monitor, right?
😂 Hadn't heard that one before! It's been fine since then but we actually still have an unresolved issue with the AIS data being incorrectly shared on the NMEA network
@@SailingOneLife it’s an old amateur radio joke
Guess who's back great episode guys
Rebel!! We've missed you! Hope you and the boys are staying safe!! 💪
@@SailingOneLife missed yall too and yes we all good my friends
Welcome home
Thank you Darrell!
where those bolts mild steal? they should be stainless steel, i have never seen a stainless bolt corrode like that and certainly never snapped the heads of them.
Hey there! They were stainless steel 😬 crazy, right? Never seen anything like it.
@@SailingOneLife yea that is insane.
i had to ask because they certanly did not look like bolts made of 316 grade stainless
Yeah we agree!
Music is a must Says Captain Dj Pope from Sailing Muse. Ha. Best wishes you two.
It must certainly is! Thanks Captain! 🍻
Nice, I'm glad nothing major was busted when you got back. Awesome video. Thanks a million have a great week.
Thanks Gibb! Us too.....you never know what can happen on a boat while your gone! Hope you have a good weekend!
mmmm. ice cream! seems like a big list, but for 2 month offboard, doesn't seem to be too many surprises. Kudos to the crew for keeping her well maintained!!
Thanks, Matt! We try to stay on top of everything we can. Just sucks when we can't get that parts we need to keep her in the best shape.....but thats when marinas are nice! We can order everything we need, it just takes time to get out here. 😜
I just spent the last couple of weeks watching 36 episodes so far and loving them! What surprises me the most is that you don’t have more subscribers!
Hi Caro! Oh wow thank you so much! We always love to hear when people watch previous episodes! Happy to hear you are enjoying them and thanks for the awesome comment!
So glad you got your list completed. Amazing projects. Team work! Safe sailing on to the next adventure! Love ya's Stay safe!
