- After a short break that felt like forever, we are finally back to sailing! We anchor in Boqueron, Puerto Rico and go for a stunning hike to the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse. Then, we are treated to a tour of the area and where the locals hang out by our new friend Ricky! With Hurricane Elsa developing in the Atlantic though, we make the decision to pack up and head south as soon as possible.
We hope you enjoy this episode and we look forward to sharing our future sailing adventures with you!

Puertoricans are such amazingly kind and very generous people. They adore their Island and love deeply sharing it with anyone interested in knowing about its history and culture.
But they don’t respect it. Dirtiest island I’ve ever lived on! They just throw trash on the ground when there’s a garbage can 10 ft away. No recycling there at all. No respect…..Sad
Puerto Rico is such a wonderful, beautiful Island. Thank you guys for taking the time to clean up along your travail. You are more than appreciated. If we all did a bit like you guys did we can keep our world beautiful and healthy.
We loved our time in Puerto Rico! Everyone there was very friendly to us. Happy to do our part in cleaning up our beautiful planet. Every bit helps! 💛
When my wife and I visited the Cabo Rojo lighthouse 26 or 27 years ago, we were able to drive all the way to the lighthouse. The views of course were spectacular, but the grounds were strewn with trash and broken glass, and the lighthouse itself was covered in graffiti. We were the only people there as the sun was setting and I was just feeling vulnerable - like a sitting duck. So we got the hell out of there. Boqueron is gorgeous, though.
Hey Sandpiper! Interesting to hear how the area around the lighthouse has changed. I guess since it's a National Park now they keep it cleaned up and don't allow driving right to it. Unfortunately there was still a fair amount of trash laying around. 🙄
Thank you for commenting!
Ricky is a national treasure! Great video, looks like you had a blast. Cabo Rojo is a special place.
Ricky is so much fun! We loved Cabo Rojo. Hope to make it back one day! Cheers!
I believe the reason you meet so many incredible people is because you yourselves are quite incredible people.
Aw, thank you! 🥰
I always find myself tearing up and getting goosebumps in these type of episodes from you and Delos.... and it's exactly because what you said at the end... it restores my faith, even just a little bit, in humanity... in a time, well almost all faith is lost! 🤝🫂
Thanks, J. Wulf! We are so fortunate to meet so many amazing people during our travels! 💜
Ricky is what's right with this world!!!!!! 💖
Right?! What a guy! 💗
We all crave the feeling of connection. That's love... The sense of unity, the recognition of one-ness. I'm sure that connecting with the people is every bit as rewarding as the connection with the natural world of the sea. I'm looking forward to these types of experiences on the road and out on the waves.
By far one of our favorite things is meeting new people and developing new friendships during our travels. Ricky will always be a dear friend to us. 💜
My people are the best god bless them and our island 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Yes they sure are! Thank you for sharing your beautiful island with us! 🌏💗🇵🇷
Another great video. Thank you for taking us along your journey. Ricky is the man !! True respect to all who take part in the beach clean up !!
Thanks, George! Ricky was a blast to hangout with. We were so happy to help out with the beach clean up, we need to do more of it! Cheers!
What wonderful people they are in Puerto Rica, fantastic video you guys!
We love Puerto Rico!! Thank you!
So nice to be able to hike with the locals and do a bit of plastic picking. Great views. What a lovely bloke Ricky was. Such great people. Great vlog :)
How fun that you get to meet so many cool people on your travels.
The people we meet are hands down the best part of this journey. We've made so many new friends and so many people who have changed our lives forever. ♥️
If you see a turtle on a fence post he didn't get there by himself. As for iguanas at sea--don't know about that. Glad to see you guys out there!
Thanks Vern! Yeah we've never seen a swimming iguana before! Can't wait to see what else is in store for us! Have a good weekend!
Great episode, the more I watch you guys the more I love the boat name. Have fun !!!
Thanks Dane! We think its fitting! Hope you have a good weekend! 🍻
I have enjoyed watching your videos, your perspective, your locations and your progress as cruisers. I have been a subscriber and watched all episodes to this point. Today l I will be leaving the boat due to the amount of drinking content. Last year in the US, more than 80,000 alcohol related deaths were recorded.
Enjoy your travels, best of luck.
Thanks for following our journey and your well wishes. We appreciate your honesty! Do you know Beau and Brandy's sailing channel? They are friends of ours, great people and non-drinkers. Check them out if you don't already watch them! ♥️
Great video ! Ricky was an amazing personality So kind giving and showed you his secret spots and then his man cave is so stuffed he will have to put an addition on soon or God Forbid sell a few Bikes ! Great Episode. From STL MO ✌️💜🎸

Thank you! We love Puerto Rico! Wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back one day! Thanks for sharing your beautiful island with us!
You had me at the Medalla beer shot
Hahaha! Good stuff! We loaded the boat up with it before we left! 🍻
It's good to see y'all on the go, again. I wish I could have made my purchase of the Offshore 40 work for me. For now, I cruise vicariously with you.
Thanks, Jesse! There will be another one, just keep looking. We will be waiting for you out here! Thanks for following along on our journey! 🍻
As Gary was saying “That’s really good.”, it looked like he was removing it quickly from his mouth.
Haha interesting, he really did like it!
How awesome was that place? You seem to meet a lot of cool people!!!
It was such a cool place! We have been so lucky to meet such great people! Hope you have a good weekend, Mike! 🍻

That is awesome! We had so much fun there! We hope you have a great time! 🍻🎂
🙏🏻...
Once again Y'all throw out an AMAZING video.. lol How does the boat sail now without 2 tons of extra chain. :P Y'all have an Awesome weekend. :)
Hey Gibb! Well our boat sails fine, Brandy and Beau were the ones with the extra weight of the chain that they were delivering to us in Curacao! 😂 (which you will see in a future video).......and well now our boat has 2 tons of extra chain! Hahaha, so we are extra heavy at the moment until we swap it! We are so lucky to have awesome friends like Beau and Brandy who delivered it to us! Hope you have a great weekend and glad you liked this video! Adios until next week! 🍻🍻
@@SailingOneLife That's right, my bad, lol I'm old and the memory ain't what it used to be. :)
Haha no worries! You'll see the chain movement to our boat in one or two episodes! We are about a month behind on our vids. Happy Sunday Gibb!
Hi guy's.
Hey Dean! Happy Friday! We hope you enjoy our video!
Do you have to check in at customs in PR?
Yes, we were able to check in with the CBP Roam app since we are US citizens.
I enjoy your adventures very much. I thought you should Know that our flag is not an American flag. Its called the U.S. flag.
Ah interesting. Thanks for the info! Hope you have a great holiday!
👀🇵🇷
❤️💙🇵🇷
1st.
Hell yeah! 🔥
As your flags become un-serviceable send them to a VFW post or a Boy Scout troop (of course US based) and they will properly dispose of the flag in a proper flag ceremony. Please don't just throw it in the trash.
Thanks for the idea, Joseph! We've kept all our flags.....we are hoping to do something with them (frame possibly? Maybe a quilt?) when we get back to land life but giving them to the boy scouts is a good option as well.
As long as they don't just get tossed into the trash is good enough for me.
@@joemarine2 we 100% agree!
Why no "water glass"? Dumb looking, having to lean over the dingy side seeing the bott
bottom.
We don't keep any glass on the boat. We need a bucket with a clear acrylic type bottom.
Do Yawl Ever gety & give Gifts to these people who always help Yawl out? SEEMS... people in these paces DO stuff FOR YOU but we never see Yawl doing stuff for THEM !!! Do Ya??? Let's see it on video IF You Do!!!!!
Why would we film ourselves giving gifts? That sounds like something only a RealClass American would do.
