    One of the reasons I like your content is because you do show the real issues that you face while sailing around the world. I think some people just get cranky and post things that are how they feel in that moment. I can’t imagine they were talking about you guys. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos. I appreciate your perspective.

      Thank you! We just try to capture what it's really like out here - the good and the bad. We are happy to hear that it shows through in our videos and even better to hear you are learning some things along the way!

    I watch probably a dozen sailing channels and, true to human nature, most want to show the good things about sailing and about sailing life. That's just human nature. I think anyone watching should realize there is a price to pay for paradise which is all the hard work, the not so good days and all that. You know better than us ! But anyway, nice video. All of you put in a lot of work doing the videos and editing the videos. I truly thank you for doing that and for sharing ! Yes, it will be a documentation of your travels but, you have taken many, many people along with you. Thank you again and keep making those smart sailing decisions ! Be safe.....

    I watch around a dozen sailing channels, every one of them takes time to stress how hard the life can be, that the highs are very high, but the lows are extremely low. They also show a lot of the maintenance they need to preform to keep the boat sailing. Seems to me, those "high" times wouldn't be so high if the life was easy, what makes them so high is all the hard work you put in to reach those highs...Anytime you work hard for something, the reward feels ten times better....

    I love your videos! I have been out cruising for several months myself and know the reality of living on a sailboat and believe you do an amazing job at showing both sides of this lifestyle. The reason why we go through the very uncomfortable times on the water is the gratification we get from visiting and experiencing those remote and unique places and spending some time with the locals. I can't wait to get back out on the water and your videos are such a strong motivation. Thank you!!!

    As an outside observer it looks like the current could push you through and out of the channel. The boat would be carried through the current out of the lagoon. I have Kayaked and from what you are saying, it's like you are at the will of ever changing variables so you choose not to exit. This is so beautiful to me and very cool; Why risk your home? A kayak is way cheaper and the boat you live on is your life. I am still watching the clip, as of now, I am waiting with baited breath to see what conditions are good to exit. P.S I got to the end and didn't see ya'll leave, can't wat for the rest!

    Just a word of thanks & encouragement to you two. My wife & I our in our 50's and haven't been able to take a vacation since 2016. I was going to take her to Hawaii a few years ago for our 27th anniversary, then she was diagnosed with a liver disease and we had to cancel it.
    Your videos stir the spirit & allow for me to live vicariously through your adventures. I would so like to retire to make passages in that lifestyle, but her need for insurance makes it not doable. You have no idea how awesome it is to be able to watch your exploits and feel like I'm right there, triming the sails, reeling in a Mahi, fixing & working problems on the boat, and drinking coconut rum.
    Thank you so much for taking us along for the ride of a lifetime.
    P.S. if you want an amazing sundowner, put Pain Killada in the YT search & check out Distinguished Spirits version that mixes in cinnamon syrup (easy to make). You'll love it.

    Fear and being scared robs one from living a true full life. You only have ONE LIFE, live it full and well. All that would ever happen is you may fall in the water. Grab the dingy line and hold on enjoy the bunchy ride until one pulls the other back in. Of course it easy for me as I have solo canoed class 3-5 white water rapids and been trashed, flipped bruised, cut and slammed back into the rapids. Sometimes torn free from being saddle and strapped to the canoe by the force of the river waves having to swim the rapids. Over my one life, at 62, now I have paddled close to 2,800 miles on rivers and only once near drowning. That one time risk of drowning was my fault as I was tried, beat up and my mental faculties were not functioning to peak levels at the end of a long day and could not time my breaths for each big wave. they refer to that as flash drownings. but I am here to type about it. Can not wait to join you both on a Norseman sailboat as soon as someone buys my Native Oasis Botanical Garden.

    I really enjoyed you channel, you have ended up in a beautiful place, but even paradise has its draw backs. Bad weather and limited resources fresh food etc.
    It really looks fantastic life sailing around, but you certainly do work hard at keeping your home One-life in good working order, all them months in Mexico on the hard maintaining and improving your boat for the voyage across the Pacific Ocean.
    I love the content in your RUclips channel. Keep up the great work.👍

    Love watching your journey! Can't wait to be out there ourselves! We get fresh eggs from friends frequently. I understand the turning of the eggs, but I don't flip each egg in the carton. Rather, I flip the whole carton over. I've never had a problem picking it up as I can see it's upside down. It's so much easier for me, and I've never dropped a single egg. 😉

    • @SailingOneLife
      @SailingOneLife  2 месяца назад

      A couple people have mentioned just turning over the entire egg carton, but I'm afraid they will crack if I do that because there is nothing on the top side of the carton to keep them from tumbling into each other. Maybe I'm being over protective of my eggies 😅🤣I'll try it and report back.

    There’s probably more channels that over “Dramatize” things that they insinuate are unique to them (like the weather) and act as if they only made it because of their great intellect. Or lately there’s been a rash of couples putting the Wife/Girlfriend posed nearly naked for the thumbnail every week as if she’s auditioning for something that’s “unspoken” & totally tasteless & classless….. So I feel very fortunate to have found you guy’s who are normal and living your best lives!❤

    Brooke in regards to RUclipsr sailers not showing the realities of your life, I disagree as well. I cried with you when you found the water in your rudder. I just watched Kaza and Brian struggle for the past several episodes. When Grace and Sierra had to say “see ya later”, it broke my heart…just to name a few. Oh and when Warren flipped the dinghy in a storm, see I can go on and on!!

    little secret I like to pass on. powdered eggs are not bad if you rehydrate them the night before. not bad omelets or scrambled eggs if you add cheese. also powdered milk isn't bad if you mix that up and let it sit for 24 hours in the fridge.

    • @SailingOneLife
      @SailingOneLife  2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the tip! We do carry powder eggs onboard although I typically only use them for baking. I'll try rehydrating the night before and testing the powder out as scrambled eggs!
