"The best way to survive a lion attack is to stay out of areas they use to inhabit". I wouldn't know what to do with my life without these gems of wisdom.
Our elders out here in Zimbabwe always told us always take a dog with you every time you go into the forest. If a lion is stallking you, you would know from the behaviour of the dog. Typically it starts whimpering, tries to go between your legs etc This was knowledge distilled over thousands of years by our African ancestors 🦁
I actually had a face to face encounter with a male lion while on safari in Africa. It wasn't on this list, but I wanted to share how I survived, just in case any of you ever really need it. I was watching an elephant to the left, when suddenly I saw a lion jump out of the tall grass to my right, he was coming directly for me!!! I didn't know whether to show him I'm not a threat, or to puff up and try to scare him away. This all happened in about 3 seconds, and in all the confusion and suddenness I did the only thing I could think to do in that moment. I just shit myself. Dropped into the fetal position, and Absolutely soiled my pants. Not the shart, I'm talking one your dad would be proud of. I felt the lions breath on my leg, and his nose bumped up against the back of my right thigh. And right when I thought he would bite......nothing. I couldn't even hear him anymore. I waited a couple extra seconds before sitting up to see where he was...and by the time I found him, he was just disappearing over the horizon about 1.6 miles away. Another suggestion, don't drink their water!

I used to volunteer at an exotic cat sanctuary. One weekend an employee didn't double-check the lock after cleaning one of the lion enclosures and the lion got out. He was attacking the bobcat cage. The director went to the vet clinic and mixed up the tranquilizer dart. (You can't pre-mix them.) The farthest away he could be while having a clear shot (due to the locations of all the enclosures) was about 15 yards. He shot the lion with the dart, and the lion turned and charged him. Richard stood his ground, facing mostly towards the lion, glancing at the him to let him know, "I see you," but then looking away to say, "But I'm neither prey nor a threat." The lion stopped about halfway to Richard. It was about fifteen minutes before the lion lay down and another fifteen before he was asleep and could be hauled back to his enclosure.
By the way, lions are my favorite animal's and lions are not just found in Africa, they can also be found in the gir forest of India on the continent of Asia.
They also incorrectly stated that lions can clock up to 128 km per hour, that equals out to 79.5 miles per hour, which would make it faster than a cheetah.
@@firepilot21studios62 well i saw lions catch and kill cheethas without it being an ambush, so yeah Altho i'm sure that goes only for very short distances

I’ve heard of a cheetah’s top speed being between 60-75 mph but never of a lion reaching 79 mph Edit: never mind, they admit their mistake in the pinned comment I had not seen it lol

It's terrifying when you realise how strong and heavy yet how fast they are, and how big their jaws, Canines and claws are. Being chased by a lion or Tiger has to be in a top 10 scariest and most painful ways to die
I'd say crocs would be worse because they shred you to pieces while drowing you. At least, the cats might "choke" you to death before it tears you up. Either way, your fucked lol

I see a pattern in these survival videos, the most important and easily the most difficult tip is to “stay calm”.
😂😂😂😂
Pleasssseee can you make this into a youtube video with your friend Richard... absolutely amazing story
This human just said that when faced a lion we should stay calm and don’t appear as a threat, then later said that we should intimidate lion???

By the way, lions are my favorite animal's and lions are not just found in Africa, they can also be found in the gir forest of India on the continent of Asia.
And Popeyes
Your favourite animals? Well..male lions usually kill cubs of the same species/ lion when there is a change of new territory

Wrong information.
Lions are also found in India in the state of Gujarat.
They stated that they lived in europe and asia too, but most of then have been whiped out
They also incorrectly stated that lions can clock up to 128 km per hour, that equals out to 79.5 miles per hour, which would make it faster than a cheetah.
@@firepilot21studios62 well i saw lions catch and kill cheethas without it being an ambush, so yeah
Altho i'm sure that goes only for very short distances
@@abobanger9054 it is totally possible for a lion to catch a cheetah, considering that a cheetah has terrible stamina and could be extremely exhausted when attacked by a lion, hindering its speed. The problem I had with the video was that they stated a lions top speed to be 128 kmp = 79.5 mph. I’ve heard of a cheetah’s top speed being between 60-75 mph but never of a lion reaching 79 mph
Edit: never mind, they admit their mistake in the pinned comment I had not seen it lol

It's terrifying when you realise how strong and heavy yet how fast they are, and how big their jaws, Canines and claws are.

I'd say crocs would be worse because they shred you to pieces while drowing you. At least, the cats might "choke" you to death before it tears you up. Either way, your fucked lol
Out of context but
What's more scary, falling into a black hole or getting chased by a lion?
