Leased the electric version for 6 months now. It is not a sporty car, but how it flows over bumps and imperfections. Perfect in every day traffic on less than perfect roads. Love it.
Why does these reviewers never mention anything about how high the trunk will open for small people? Instead they would talk about the back seat being too low. It’s so annoying
I love it! ...and I love that they made it soft. Every single car out there is super hard and roads are rarely super-smooth to accommodate that ..and barely anyone is a race driver to appreciate the benefits of it.

I love the design of it, inside and out. I've been test driving this car for a week. Nothing compares (to its class) to the comfort you get with it. No more pains in my back, even after 4 hours of continuous driving. It's true though that it has some body roll on the corners. I can live with that. Fun fact: I am on my way to order it in an hour =)
I love mine (electric version in caramel brown) and think it's gorgeous! It's a lovely car to drive, too. The view through the rear window is actually very good. My only complaint is that the wipers don't wipe quite as far as they might and leave a wide strip unwiped on the driver's side.

Having owned a 2008 & an Arona I have to say I’m delighted by the C4 and find your review a bit harsh, especially compared to the other reviews on You Tube. It isn’t a sporty set up but it takes corners perfectly well and it soooo civilised in its drive. I love the engine also - the same 130bhp as the 2008 I owned and very quiet. As for the interior I think the quality is very good - certainly at a higher level than the 2008 & Arona and it’s very well equipped. The boot is 380 litres not 308. Not as big as SUVs but it’s sold as a hatchback not a crossover, although the seating position is higher than a standard hatchback. Love it!
Had the car for 16 months and love it. I've been making a number of runs up the M1 and I've got nearly 18,000 miles on the clock. It's the only car where, after a 130 mile bash, I've felt the same when I get out as when I got in! Sure, the engine's a bit grumbly on acceleration, just like any 3 cylinder power plant but it's not shy when you want it to perform. Unfortunately, the auto gearbox does get its knickers in a bit of a twist if you almost come to a stop at a roundabout and then decide that the gap is big enough and put your foot down. It also hates top gear unless you're doing at least 64mph and it will even change down to 7th in manual mode. Fuel economy is pretty good though. The biggest bug-bear for me though is the rear-view mirror. I'm 6'1" and unless my seat is in almost the lowest position, the mirror gets in the way and because I prefer it in it's highest position, I find I'm having to look round the mirror when it comes to left-hand bends or turns. When it comes time to replace it though, I'll probably get another one.
Apparently only Citroens are ugly" Kind of like political correctness...the way you can't call any woman she is ugly but calling a man ugly is fine....
Years ago the passengers would look out the window.. nowadays people have a ridiculous obsession to look at a screen. Why waste your money buying a car with windows when you can buy a van, shove them in the back and throw them a couple of tablets.
It should be an option, not foisted upon us all. I imagine that most of the people who will buy this car will be of a certain age, at which they're not interested in a tablet screen. My wife doesn't drive and I know for sure, that although she's got a tablet, she will never look at it in the car! There's so much more of interest - apart from which there's always the problem of travel sickness by looking down all the time.
I have ordered the c4 sense plus, due to arrive in march, same colour as this one tho im told this colour has now been discontinued. Strangely mine will be newer than this but has key start not a button start.. Don't think mine has the darker windows either.
I just wonder if she really doesnt hear herself constantly whistle through her teeth? I am sure most people are not bothered with it, but I am unable not to hear it very loudly. Its such an easy fix as well, just mention it to your dentist and he/she will fix it no problem.
Hi rebecca. From all of reviews, I did not eventually get it which engine is the most so called . I highly request you to make a episode which you talk about the most refine/reliable engines (below 2.5L-2022) in your opinion. Regards
as a man I find it sexy it has like a starship look, it's an eye catcher I have seen it on the roads, the problem is the interior, they need to make a facelift hopefully already in 2025 and I would buy it.
@@CarGurusUK I bought a C5x on the basis of reviews such as this, but the car without adaptive suspension does not have a very good ride quality. I have a Sense Plus model with the 1.2 engine. The seats are terrible on my car. The most uncomfortable of any car I have ever owned. Citroen are keen that it is always top of the range C5x’s which are tested, but they are not representative of lesser models in the range.
If you don’t like electric you’ve got petrol diesel manual and auto in both take your pick or a late low mileage used one lots of choice to suit all budgets on this car👍🥳
It certainly seems to be a decent car but as quite often happens, it is upstaged by its own sibling. Peugeot’s 2008, to me at least, seems more stylish and even more practical. I guess that it is the same as comparisons within VAG …… don’t you just hate one’s siblings?
Each to their own of course, I think the C4 looks much better than the 2008… I hate the rear 3/4s of the 2008, for me it just doesn’t seem in proportion.
Hello Rebecca, I wonder how the fashion trend will go in the near future ? I ask because we are now in a cost of living crisis and I suspect the public will not have the cash to splash out on ever more upmarket autos. Remember the 1970s when the volume manufacturers had to produce simpler models so that they could be sold at more affordable prices ?
The Mk 11 wasn`t too bad looking, but my mate has just bought one of these latest models and it`s fucking awful looking. Makes the Juke look like a Cayenne.
If its not german or Japanese they just diss it. They must be paid shit load of money from them to right a crappy review like this. I got this car it lovely to drive smooth and far better than any german car ive had. Only bettered by the Japanese.
It's hideous. We have a new Berlingo and whilst I don't think.thst is a looker either, at least it makes far more sense than any of these fugly coupe-faux-4x4 things.

French cars are typically very soft on the suspension which is great for our British roads.
I love it! ...and I love that they made it soft.

Citroën hasn't always been a follower of fashion, it has been a trend setter.
Its a Citroën ... and its GREAT. 👍

The C4 is fabulous, I am hoping it will be on my next car list.
It looks nice, for sure. I'm never quite sure about the practicality of a car with a high floor and a low roof, but there we are.
Far from being hideous, what made you think that? But I think it could had been less busy, that's a problem with many manufacturers.
Ordered mine , my back is done after 3 years with a Seat fr st 2.0 tsi . Shine plus 155 in red , but it’s going to be a long wait for delivery
Citroen transcends past such confines
I pick up my 1.2 129bhp Automatic Shine next Tuesday. Can't wait!

I think its beautiful
A fabulous car well done Citreon.
I don’t see car journalists calling the Kia Sportage hideous or ugly… conveniently has the same front end design?
Apparently only Citroens are ugly" Kind of like political correctness...the way you can't call any woman she is ugly but calling a man ugly is fine....

may be that's why they gave it a tablet holder in front of the passenger's seat... 😋

Car has some road presence.
I m french and i don't like citroen 's design since a long time but it 's very comfortable .
I have a petroleum one for some Monti’s with all lotions. Very comfortabele and economical ( 18 km per liter)
I have ordered the c4 sense plus, due to arrive in march, same colour as this one tho im told this colour has now been discontinued. Strangely mine will be newer than this but has key start not a button start.. Don't think mine has the darker windows either.
Why do some manufacturers think that a busy design is what makes a car look futuristic.
the best way I can describe the C4 is, it looks like it's been tango'd!
I'd hoped for less fussy details.. more GS like. In gold with a brown interior.
I just wonder if she really doesnt hear herself constantly whistle through her teeth? I am sure most people are not bothered with it, but I am unable not to hear it very loudly. Its such an easy fix as well, just mention it to your dentist and he/she will fix it no problem.

A British reviewer discrediting and complaining about a french car?. Unbelievable!.
It is so well designed, BMW copied it for their 7-line.
does it really need 18" wheels for super mini mad
Hideous reviewers, Beautiful car, 70.000 C4 selling in Europe before 1 year.
😀
Looks much like the DS4 from the same car factory, I would take the more stylish DS4 if the pricing is close. Your preference?
The DS4 is amazing in design....and rides probably better than the C4 but it costs a lot more I believe
When are you going to try the C5x? Don’t review a hybrid though, as they have adaptive suspension.
We have this review... ruclips.net/video/yYDEEnUdNVk/видео.html

Do my eyes decieve me..can't help thinking if Lambo did a baby Urus it would look something like this.
I think I'll stick with my 2006 1st generation C4.
price please?
Prices start at just under 22 thousand pounds, rising to around 35 for the priciest electric one
If you don’t like electric you’ve got petrol diesel manual and auto in both take your pick or a late low mileage used one lots of choice to suit all budgets on this car👍🥳
Surprised no matrix head lights on top spec.
I wonder does it's come with free tablet?

Thank you
Its a great car,
It looks big and styling wise it is trying to hard (but so do most cars now). Some times less is more.
They could ditch the spoiler for one thing. Never seen a more useless piece of kit on a car!
1:26 why compare boot space to the Golf? Its a suv. More useful comparison would be to other suvs.
A step back from 'fussy over styling' from all manufacturer's, is now badly needed.
I'm keeping my much older but better looking & cleaner shaped car.
The Mk 11 wasn`t too bad looking, but my mate has just bought one of these latest models and it`s fucking awful looking. Makes the Juke look like a Cayenne.
Love it.
reminds me very much of a 3008 I had in that colour in 2018. looking a bit dated in that colour imo.
Nicely proportioned from some angles, but looks ugly at the rear to me.
If its not german or Japanese they just diss it. They must be paid shit load of money from them to right a crappy review like this. I got this car it lovely to drive smooth and far better than any german car ive had. Only bettered by the Japanese.
is this rebeca jackson
onmg it is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeej
omg omg omg
Ahh Rebecca 🤩
Extraterrestrial design! Clingon's spaceship! Predator's face. But adorably hideous!!!....
Good looking outside but disappointing inside.
Try DS4
It's another boring crossover. I don't understand why people don't want cars anymore.
No thanks Rebecka I'll stick to my Ford Fiesta for now.
,,🤔Are you sure that's wise?
Citroen c3 2003

A very superficial review, almost 2 years after introduction of this model!
I saw one yesterday in white with red accents I thought it looked cheap and over complicated.
This or Fiat Multipla.. Can’t decide🤔😄
70.000 c4 selling, Europeans decide.
Had a C3 21 Reg auto as a curtesy car, the worst car I ever drove, rubbish 😅
A C3 is not a C4. So what's your point. ?
The interior is really good but that exterior! looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down!
nice car nice girl
I would give it 4 out of 10
I give your comment 2 out of 10 😀
first bad review I see of this car
It's hideous. We have a new Berlingo and whilst I don't think.thst is a looker either, at least it makes far more sense than any of these fugly coupe-faux-4x4 things.
I think it is extremely Ugly. But I love the first generation C4 coupe
Nice car but looks hideous. Chinese will love it.
70.000 C4 selling in Europe before 1year.
Even Chinese would avoid it.
I like the design
Not good then . Not a drivers car
I love you❤️
Nice video review but the Citroen C4 is very ugly 😂😂
Totally hideous
great review as always but so ugly car
Such bad review
Horrible gimmicky mess of a car .
