- Hi, I’m Virtual Bro! I recommend new and noteworthy VR games. In this video I'm going to be looking at the newly released VR game: Journey to Foundation as well as sharing my full thoughts :)
Journey to Foundation puts you into the role of a galactic spy in this epic sci-fi VR narrative-driven adventure! Based on the iconic book series by Isaac Asimov, you will hack, torch, and disguise your way through various missions, while using your Mentalic powers to influence the emotions of others. This VR experience was built from the ground up for VR and is available on Meta Quest 2, PSVR2, and Pico 4. The PSVR2 version takes advantage of eye-tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback for an even more immersive experience. I, however, played on the Quest 3.

I second the opinion that most vr games right now are sandboxes that are fun to mess around in but lack any real story or drive to keep you invested. So seeing more games having a story to immerse you even deeper is great!

I like the idea of not knowing if your in control (at least for a vr game) gives a scene of realism

I personally enjoy replayability a lot more than story. VR games are, as is, already faaaaaaar to short on average, especially for the above average asking prices. I dont see the point of paying 30 bucks for a game im only gonna play a handful of hours. If on the other hand i have something nice to grind for the next 100 or so hours thats totally justifiable, and i personally dont need story for that whatsoever. So personally, it all depends on whether the gameplay is fun and how much playtime i can expect to get out of it, whether there is any story at all, none, or its all story.
