This glitch happens with the following Materia combo:
Counter + Mime, Magic Counter + Any magic, Counter + Mime, Quadra Magic + Same magic
I added 3 additional Quadra Magic + Seal so as to reach 7 casts at once instead of 4 (one additional cast per additional Quadra Magic materia).
Materia
[Counter=Mime, Magic Counter=Contain(3), Magic Counter=Seal(1), Counter=Mime]
[Quadra Magic=Seal, Quadra Magic=Seal, Quadra Magic=Seal, Quadra Magic=Seal]
Use of multiple Quadra Magics
- The first one adds 3 extra casts to the linked compatible spells or summons: all spells but Escape and all summons but KotR. (And no, you can't quadra KotR normally, or with Master Summon or Magic Counter. With Mime... well, you'll see.)
- Each additional Quadra linked with the same spells or summons gives them 1 extra cast. The casts this way are limited to 8.
Auto Mimes general rules
- The auto actions are first in the order of the equipped Materias.
- The auto mimes look to what they will copy: the previous trigger if there's any, or the action that happened before the combo elsewise.
- The auto mimes are performed after the other auto actions.
Quadra-loss glitch
- If the second mime of that chain was supposed to mime a non-quadra action, then the first one will be non-quadra too; if it was supposed to mime a quadra action, that action will lose quadra. Hopefully, the opposite is true too, so...
Quadra-gain glitch
- If the second mime of that chain was supposed to mime a quadra action, then the first one will be quadra too; if it was supposed to mime a non-quadra action, that actions will gain quadra.
- And since that action gets a free quadra effect, then you can apply it to:
✶ KotR, E. Skills and Commands, despite they're incompatible when paired directly. Note: Command materias like Slash-All, Double Cut, Steal, Sense, Throw, Morph, Deathblow & Manipulate will have their extra casts animations skipped, just the the 1st one is visible.
✶ Limits, which can have animation glitches.
✶ Items, but only the 1st one is visible, the extra ones have their animation skipped.
Summary
➼ Emerald: attacks Cloud with Emerald Shoot
• Cloud counters
‣ Tornado (31% chance of inflicting Confusion)
‣ Sleepel - x7 (72/2-1 = 35% chance of inflicting Sleep)
‣ Mime (Omnislash) - x7, copied from the next mime of this queue (Quadra-gain glitch)
‣ Mime (Sleepel) - x7 (35% chance of inflicting Sleep)
Emerald actually dies after the 7th cast of the mimed Omnislash, cancelling the last 7 Mimes of Sleepel.
Could you imagine the terror? A Man sleepwalking come to you crounching and spinning with a giant sword. This could be a horror movie.
Cloud can sleep and still do Omnislashes so fast that we can't even see him lifting his sword.
This is just the Omnislash Mark X.
Literally just SPEEEEN.

Only when he's all tweaked out on hero drinks, but yeah.
What? Cloud is easily capable of 1V1-ing Emerald.
Almost all the characters can without Hero Drinks.

Yeah, its pretty insane what is still coming out of this game. Even after 2 decades. I remember when they discovered how to do the instant death 100% thing with Cait Sith's limit break. I think that was just done a decade ago too
The Cait Sith dice roll "The "End" is the only way I could defeat Ruby and Emerald back when I was a kid in 2000

I've seen a lot of ways to kill emerald, and that is up there at the top. Pretty dope.
What the hell happened here
I've seen a few of these pop up in my recommendations recently. Every time I see something new from Final Fantasy (mostly VII, sometimes IX) it just completely blows my mind. With things like this combined with the glitches and skips used in both the PS1 and PC speedruns, I can honestly say I think this game is officially more broken than gen 1 Pokemon.
Yeah if u look into it ff7 is actually an incomplete game. Data mines have shown unused content and pretty much shows the devs purposely left the game broken and did not patch anything. Probably being lazy
yet you can completely playthrough it, unlike games released today! games today most the time have game breaking glitches upon release, and even more throughout their life cycle

@@blainy-o93 u right but ff7 is a special exception. The amount of unused content if implememted and patches fixed changes the whole game. Ex: at one point they were going to have u play as seph in the story and have aerith come back in disc 2 n then permanently leave yer group by disc 3. There are even limit break moves for seph. Look up documentaries here on youtube about it. U will eventually run into all the content and what wasnt patched. Like caith siths lb glitch. They never finished all his lb moves which is y he doesnt have a lvl4 lb
@@ricardomartinez7862 this is just untrue. Aerith was NEVER intended to come back and there is 0 game game content hidden in the files to suggest otherwise. From the beginning the plan was to permanently kill off an important character for once.
It seems Emerald Weapon pissed off the wrong guy.

Weapon doesn't know what ultra instinct it, dragon ball doesn't exist as a franchise in the ff7 world, plus it was asleep for two thousand years
Cloud of the round: The angry counter attack.
It's a pretty anime move that an edgy boi who've been sipping the cool aid from his waifu is asleep and can annihilate a fucking Weapon, a defender of a planet created by the living essence of a planet itself, who the planet have specifically designed to guard the existence of itself from the greatest of possible of harms... with a sword. Man, I love JRPG's.
When beating Emerald Weapon is so easy you can do it your sleep.

Personally I've beat emerald in 2 turns with being very lazy and that's counter+mime on all 8 brackets, but this one is interesting
I never attempted to combine all the support/command materia together. The most I played with was mime and W-summon. The possibilities are freakin' endless.

I always preferred using Barret with the counter/mime glitch and his Angermax limit break. Beats emerald in under a minute. Good memories.

I do wonder if a character reached all max stats of 255, does Hero Drink still works? If so, how many times are recommended to be used?
Yeah, even if your character has all stats at 255, hero drinks still work. Hero Drink increases Attack, Defense, Magic, and Magic Defense by 30%. Can be used up to four times for a maximum 100% effect. If you use 4 hero drinks in a character with 255 stats, in battle he will have those 4 stats i mentioned at 510.

Someone tell me why it is need to be confused and sleepy? I think that mirror-reflect over emerald is to get confuse and sleep status, but why is needed? Is not enough with omnislash and mimic?

Yeah, it works with any Limit break. Feel free to take a look to my last 2 videos, there im showing it with Barret.
What ever happened to the old school way of taking him on without any sort of exploit or glitch. I remember killing him without the underwater matera and just some solid painstaking fights.
The point isn't really how to kill Emerald 1001 different ways (or is it, though? xD) but there's one point where your combos are so powerful that you just need a 1 million HP punching ball to test/show them. Sometimes you also need to cheat to set his HP to 5 or 6 millions. xD

Would cheats even work to name Cloud "Ex-SOLDIER"? Considering that it's too big to fit, you might do something bad to your save file if Cloud being called that is a hardcoded special case.
