That would explain a lot. It's most likely what happened. It's insane how many people don't think it can get so hot in a car, we think it can't because we're always in it, but it's always an oven when returning to a car that's been sitting there in the heat all day.
it's not known that battery items explode in hot cars, so of course it isn't common sense. That means all mobile phones, any battery toys or e-cigs should also not be in hot cars either as they battery.
@G-Man-half-life Some books have buttons that make sounds when you press them in certain parts of the story. This is nothing new, we've had these books in the 90's as well. They were Golden Sound Story books.
@@FlyingDuckMan360I get it however; maybe we should be looking for other alternatives such as moving on away from the books with sound and buttons and batteries. What has almost surely happened here is that the electronics were damaged by being under the car seat and the battery was short circuited, causing the fire. Literally any battery can cause a fire if it is short circuited through a thin wire.

Seems like the parents werent smart enough not to leave batteries inside of a scorching hot car, i just hope to god they dont do the same to that child
I had a watch battery about 2 years ago mistakenly got stuck to a magnet, it immediately gave off smoke and an acid smell with hissing sound. Seems like it was about to exlode. Its as equal to a bullet. Be careful
I can only guess it was because it was *left in the car* as the shining heat of the sun onto the book, while also steadily increasing the temperature in the van.
If this were the recalled "Potty Time With Elmo" book, that button that said "Uh-oh! Who wants to die?" would have made all too much sense. Did the batteries catch fire from being left inside the hot vehicle or something? Also, how exactly is that possible for alkaline batteries to ignite like that? I've heard of lithium-ion batteries catching fire a lot, but not alkaline batteries much though.
Most importantly don't leave it in the sun or in the high temperatures I bet due to it being hot and in the sun it probably caused it to catch on fire. It's the same thing with like a lighter you don't leave a lighter in a hot car
Happened to me with my E bike. Luckily our E bike is out the house and it just spark a little bit that cause temporary blackout in our home, this happened when I plugging in the charger.
What was the temperature? You can’t leave any batteries in a hot car.
Exactly! The temperature in the car was probably hot
I was thinking that the sun was beating down on the book while it the car seat, and that being the reason it got so hot.

Imagine your mini-van almost getting exploded on the inside from a children’s Cocomelon book.
I don't have to, I watched the video.
Naurrrr 😭
@kennethraymondmoore 😂😂
I too would probably spontaneously explode as well, if I had to listen to that song regularly 😂
Agreed.
🤣🤣🤣
Baby shark is a military grade torture song
That’s super rare alkaline batteries catching fire it’s mostly if the battery is overheated
That's most likely what happened here. It's summer time and we're getting a lot of record high days.
IT WAS INTHE CAR😂😂😂😂 of course it was overheated 😂😂😂
It was inside a car during summer in North Carolina so yea, that’s hot 🔥

Cocomelon baby thought he was Chucky-
@jaylenbyrd8474 Not Chuckie Finster from Rugrats (1991), but Chucky from Child's Play (1988).
Don’t leave batteries inside your car when it’s hot outside, it gets way hotter inside your car.
Fact it was a cocomellon book really didn't shock me
This tbh should be a lesson for all parents to stay away from bootleg toys
Batteries left in a hot car, maybe don't do that. 🤷🏻♀️
They were right that cocomelon is cringe
It's common sense that you don't leave something like that in a hot vehicle. It should have been taken out of the vehicle when they got out.
Common sense to not leave a book in a car? That's definitely not true.
@jenniferhansen3822 What a stupid boomer thing to say.

LMAOOO
Literally
Jesus. I’m glad everyone is ok
well how long was the book in the car? when you heat up batteries they explode!

Score 1 for Bluey!
😂 LOVE BLUEY!
Australia is peak
....and they KEPT THIS IN THE CAR in the HEAT???
🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽
It should label on that book not to leave it in someplace that can get very hot, if it's not labeled anywhere.
Don't leave anything with battery in a hot car
If I were the book, I’d want to spontaneously combust too if I had that song attached to me.
Who leaves a book with batteries in a hot car? Make it make sense 🙄📖🔋🔥🤪
Cocomelon does not deserve to be trusted for kids. 💀

Thank god that fire didn’t happen when they were driving.
What a relief the baby is okay!
This is crazy
Cocofire
Someone is going to get sued for that.
You should never let your kids read cocomelon, moral of the story.
The scooter that blew up in the house is crazy. The book catching fire in the car isn't that surprising. The car was probably hot af.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Thank god the baby wasn’t in the car seat when it happened!!😨
I live in NC. It gets incredibly hot here. The heat basically, turned their van into an oven. Thank God no one was hurt.
That’s not good
leaving it out in the hot car and then being shocked is like leaving in the microwave and then acting surprised
We got cocomelon putting cars on fire before GTA 6💀💀
should have never trusted cocomelon
tfw cocomelon's low quality production becomes actually immediately dangerous
Time for PewDiePie to rise up.
@anukjayawardana8113 And Jaxen Ross, destroyer of children's toys.
They need to unban pewdiepie cocomelon song! it was so good

Probably the batteries got hot inside the car in summer

Blame it on jj
I bet the sun got to it …
Alkaline button cells?
WHY DO THEY EVEN MAKE THOSE?!?!
Keep items with batteries in a hot car. Smart.
They probably left the book in the car, under the sun...
It’s a good thing Cocomelon exploded
That's why I dont trust cocomelon
Welp. Now I know not to leave my phone in a hot car.
Stop leaving electronics in hot cars.

Probably overheated
we watching Peppa pig parodies with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️ 🔥
Sounds more like parents' potty time.
I wouldn’t blame the book itself, it should be common knowledge nowadays not to leave any batteries in a car or infront of hot sunlight
Cocomelon is cooked, actually
Why can't people just use normal books
OFC IT WAS A COCOMELON BOOK
I feel like this is common sense any battery left in a hot car could explode if they couldn't figure this out now they can😊
Nothing is safe smh
To be fair batteries and the extrema heat inside of a car don’t mix well
Just stop when you’re doing it? But how do you make babies?! 👶🏼
The book: 💀

But the battery cover Was pre-closed

This sounds demonic. Could be a spiritual thing either with the specific book or brand.
Remember that elmo potty book that said "kill James" a few years back i think Chadtronic made a good vid explaining the incedent.
i always knew cocomelon was evil
Maybe they should stop going to church

Was it a lithium battery?
It’s the hot car that probably did it.
Maybe they should stick to reading to their toddler instead of letting herself read with a battery voiced book.
They weren't alone and they were in the car...

Maybe one of the parents were smoking and ended up tossing with the cigarette bud in the car seat they could have caught the book on fire?
