The nanny who donated a piece of her liver had me tearing up. Like wow. What a selfless amazing person. I commend all the nanny s who chose to put a child before there own safety especially someone else's child.
Every child is worthy of help, not just one's own child. I never married nor been pregnant. I value every child as if they were my own. No child is less than any other.
Yes! They’ll spends gobs of money on housekeepers, nail salons, hair appointments, dog walker or sitter, and lots of other services. But childcare? Pennies. I never accepted those jobs and politely declined if they couldn’t pay me what I deserved. I wasn’t just the type of nanny or babysitter who was on my phone while the child played. I actively engaged them. I went on the playground with them. Rolled on the grass with them. Chased them for fun. Hopped. Skipped. Sang. Danced. Doing arts and crafts. Etc. It’s crazy to think your child’s well-being and education isn’t important.
@@shiwan45 I don't know for sure but I thought a Nanny was more than just a babysitter. I thought they did other jobs for the parents like light housekeeping and maybe a little shopping if the parents haven't been able to get to it. Am I right or wrong? I've never been a Nanny nor a parent.
2:22 that babysitter seems to be more than just a babysitter. And that she was willing to give her liver for the little girl was the sweetest thing ever.
If singing makes a babysitter a hero, then Ariel should be on the list, because millions of parents have used her as a babysitter on their TVs over the years, and around the world - lol.
That first clip, that babysitter is definitely a hero...can u imagine what would of happened if she had to grab 2 toddlers &/or infant... I'm so glad they were able to get out safely. Hope they gave her a raise and/or a nice bonus
I started babysitting at 7, and once when I was helping my friend babysit a baby I was 8 at the time. we were in a big house by a river,we heard someone breaking in,this was at night. and my friend took off out of the back door leaving the baby in her crib and that shocked me she was 2 years older than me and I ran to the baby's room and grabbed the baby when I saw the guy walk towards the kitchen I ran out the front door he didn't see me for some reason, and I was skinny and the baby was fat n heavy lol thought I was gonna drop her. than ran to the neighbors house. and the guy took off after he saw me at the neighbours door when he was looking out the window. my instinct was to save the baby I was very mature at 8.
Glad to hear everyone was able to get out safely and that you grabbed the baby. Fight, flight or freeze can never really be predicted but hopefully your friend considered that she should respond differently in an emergency like that. I would feel so cowardly, guilty and embarrassed if I instinctively ran away without the baby.
People had to much trust back then. My friend got in trouble for leaving the baby behind ,and I continued to get hired from the neighbourhood parents. I ended up becoming a nanny from 13 to 17 to one family and they had a baby that was 3 months old and a 2 yr old and I even potty trained the 2 yr old. Kids loved me and thought of me as a big sister. I left home at 16 but still was a nanny to those two kids.
@@dmwanderer9454 I mean not really, it depends the child, I agree you shouldn’t make or trust a 7 or 8 year old babysitting a child but I watched my baby brother at that age, he medically complex and I knew how to take care of him at that age, so in emergency situations I don’t think it’s all that bad of a thing.
We see so many bad things about Nannie’s because there’s definitely bad ones, but there’s a whole lot of amazing Nannie’s too, so seeing this makes my heart happy!
I remember hearing about the boiler explosion. Absolutely terrifying to think of what could've happened had anything gone slightly different. I had to laugh with the last one, the Scary Poppins! But it's understandable that they would learn those techniques, especially with their clientele. I remember the story of the poor dog walker, who was it, Lady Gaga's? People go insane over abducting pets and kids from the rich and famous.
Yeah! I live in Los Angeles pretty close to where lady Gaga’s dog walker was so I got a notification on NextDoor pretty quickly after it happened and I was SHOOK
Bravo 👏 young ladies. I applied all of you . To see young woman go above and beyond like this after all the tragedies concerning children, bring a little hope back into humanity that is so very lacking these days. I'm a mother and I no none of these beautiful caring ladies but as a Mother and Grandmother I want to say Thank You.
I started babysitting babies at the age of 8 to help my mom to provide my family and I experienced a breaking in from my clients house and my boss told me to grab the gun and grab the child and his her somewhere and called the police before searching for the burglar and I jump on the thief and point the gun to his head and the police came in the house and my client came home and thank me for saving her child from getting hurt, so yeah thats all and I still babysit the child because she's now like 9 and I'm already 13 so I'm happy to be there for her:) it's wonderful to see other nannies and babysitters like this
Before I got to know my uncle he used to smoke and one time I can’t clearly remember what my father told me but I’m sure he said something with gas happened and the whole house got exploded. My Aunt got blown across the room. I think my Aunt might have survived but I’m not positive about my uncle. Rest In Peace my family members! :)
Wow it’s nice to see that some babysitters do have good in them, meaning the parents must’ve check them out although you could ask people in your Facebook group if they recommend anyone I have seen people ask that, I bet most people do that these days, because people go online and get these people to come babysit their 2 legged children or 4 legged children it doesn’t matter And often I saw where babysitters hurt the children weather their on 2 legs or 4 they don’t have any value for anything living they don’t care about their feelings or what they think they only care about making money
I am afraid to get hurt by people I don't know I really miss my cousin because she drowned after breaking her back on a pool because of a dog. She was 2. I was traumatized by it. I still struggle with depression because of it

DONT WORRY! The Liver is an organ that can regenerate . So that liver is probably back to normal
Being a hero starts when you're brave enough to feel you need to do something right even in small things ,even other won't see it.
Yes. And with this definition, I can say "I am a hero".
Being a hero is when you don't think, but act and save someone. Bypassing terror to grab a kid who isn't yours out of the danger zone before running.
i was a nanny for awhile. it surprised me how many people were trying to pay people less than fast food workers.

Right like taking care of children isn't easy and these parents should be paying generously for nannies to take care of their kids.
Just goes to show some parents think a cheeseburger is worth more than their child.

Babysitting at 7 and 8? You weren't "very mature", any child that age has an idea of safety and danger. That's like putting the Horse to watch the Dog

What caused the explosion??
