    Glad you attended HAI this year, I enjoyed seeing Robinson Helicopter Company (Torrance, California). That is my favorite helicopter manufacturer. I love Piston engine helicopters.

    EC135 has 3 windows on the side (2x door plus 1 x rear fuselage) // EC 145 has 4 Windows on the side (2x door plus 2 x rear fuselage)
    The 407 with twin engines is the 427, the 429 was a new engineered fuselage.
    Agusta AW09 is the former Swisscopter09. The company was bought by Agusta Westland some years ago. The AW 09 has 5 blades.
    It’s a new engineered platform in competition to the 3 bladed AS350B4, aka EC130.
    Thanks for the video.

    Just so you know, canted tail rotors provide a small amount of lift because the tail section (especially with lots of cargo in the boot) can put the helicopter out of aft CoG. For example, the Black Hawk 20deg canted tail rotor provides up to 2.5% of the total lift.

    The AW09 is still in development but worth keeping an eye on, on paper the aw09 (single) specs out class some some the light heli twin engine rivals like the H135. It will also be using the new 1000shp Arriel 2k engine from Safran.

    Brilliant, wish they did something like this in the UK! I'm wanting to start my license in the next few years and the hopes of becoming an air ambulance pilot, in the UK most air ambulances are H145's with the few 135's, there's also one off aw109's, Dauphins and MD902's! Also the "Kopter" AW09 is Brand new that's why you've not heard of it! Think it's supposed to rival an EC120/130 but I didn't realise how massive it was! Enjoyed the video thoroughly, safe flying!

    do you believe the whole notion of being a helicopter pilot will eventually be phased out due to remote operational possibilities? for example, why pay someone to physically sit in the helicopter itself when employers can pay someone far less to sit behind a desk in an office?

    I’m about to quit my job as an EMS pilot flying an EC130 been doing it 19 years. My base pay is about $114,000 a year it’s a joke. With geo mods and cashing out PTO I make about $145,000 a year. Yes you can get all the overtime you want you can make $250,000 a year if you want no life and want to work 12 on 2 off all year and have no life (12 hour shifts)
    This was a second Job for me so the pay wasn’t as critical (i had other sources of passive income) but for you My suggestion is go with the airlines. You’ll be making in 2 years what EMS helicopter will take you 20 years to make base, and in 15 years you’ll be making $350-$400,000 a year as an international captain for major airline

    5:27 429 is 407 with 2 engines, NO.

    • @naughtyUphillboy
      @naughtyUphillboy Год назад

      @gargy2002 Not in SIM, in real life, I think 429 is a clean sheet design. Also, since X-plane is reasonably accurate, are flying characteristics & power to weight/handling nearly same !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      Thanks in advance.

    This is by far A long shot to put out there but would anyone know of someone/someplace in northeastern Maryland, northern Delaware or south eastern Pennsylvania that would have weekend availability to teach. The school near me Horizon Helicopters unfortunately only has week day availability, and of course I do have to work all week. Thanks if anyone has input.
