thanks for the ride. i just bought a new 20 23 407 gxi , took delivery last week, it is now at a service center in idaho getting put back together. my lessons start this next tuesday. been flying a 206 for 45 years. sold it last month. was worn out. basically sold it for parts. i love the fadec im sure it willtake me several hours of instruction to get used to it. i told bell i may have over17000 hours in the 206 but this is a new toy and i wont fly it till i feel safe. not you think im ready till i think i can kick you out over the mtns, cant wait.i saw them take it out of the container and that metalliac blue is sure pretty

Really hope you knew that guy in the back because as a commercial helicopter pilot myself….he’d be swimming the Hudson to his destination with that attitude. Little bit of manners go a looonnnng way

No worries that a loose object like your phone might jam up a rudder peddle or some other control?

Awesome, loved the video! I have never flown a helicopter, but I love playing MSFS and have done the flight from Teterboro to Manhattan many times. Very cool to see how it's done in the real world :)

You make it look so easy. Flying the Bell 407 on FS2020 is very challenging (I have no real life experience on the 407)

Awesome vid, appreciate u going thru start up and ur route over to pads. What a difference from the cabri and 22. I remember first time u came down did nyc in the 22, now its almost old hat . I come from the east ,track, williamsburg ,thru jfk, either do east river ,yankee stadium, climb central park split the goal posts to,empire 1500,then freedom 2000, drop down to governors over to statue. One thing views never get old. Any issues with winds lower Manhattan, can get real squirley ,especially when ur landing ? Fly Safe

That was insane cool, Question 1.. Can pilots travel at any heading or do u all have to follow a specific route and altitude to a destination? Question 2.. Do u have to manually adjust tower frequencies for different airspaces or is it automatic? Question 3.. Is your main focus on ur instruments or area aircraft on LOF to prevent contact? Question 4.. Why does the master caution sound when there's zero emergency? it just seems the designer made an Un nessesary feature to make pilots nervous. Question 5.. When u were in school how long did it take u to relax w the shaking and lift, turbulence is expected but with so many instruments to monitor how do u relax, alarms would make passengers nervous bc they don't understand them except fear

  • @kwzat

Yeah you may want to change a few things. 1. Actually look around and visually make sure the area is clear before you start. YOU are the PIC, right?!? Also a very loud verbal CLEAR coming out of your mouth is required. Safety first, right? 2. Acknowledge the cautions lights flashing on the CAS before you hit that starter. If an additional caution appears during start, your brain may not be as fast as you think it is. And even if it is, your fingers may not be. Trust FADEC at your own risk. 3. Put your rotor blades angled at 45 degree corners. If you start with a blade in front of you like that, the day will come when you start with a blade tied down. It's going to be an epic dumbass moment. 4. Maybe don't look at your watch while you start? You started a timer, right? So why are you looking at your watch. That email from buddy is way less important that hot starting that engine. 5. What does item 8 on the start checklist say? I'll give you a clue. Something to do with engine and transmission oil pressure. Did you even check the pressure during your start? I think not. It's one of the most important parts of the start! I'd fail you on a checkride. And yes I'm a check airman. Jeeziz. And what's with the yellow folder sitting right on the floor, behind the pedals?! You're a disaster waiting to happen.
