Hondo: _"Insolence! We are pirates. We don't even know what that means. Open fire!"_ You got to love Hondo Ohnaka and no doubt one of his best lines in Clone Wars.
We've seen that Iridonian bounty hunter before. She was the one who flirted with Obi-Wan in the Seven Samurai inspired episode _Bounty Hunters_ way back in Season 2. She's also made minor appearances in a few other episodes throughout the show. Her name is Sugi, and she is indeed of the same species as Maul, Ventress, and Savage. She just hails from Iridonia instead of Dathomir.
Yeah, they one-upped Ahsoka's quad beheading from last season. The jaws on the floor and the absolute silence pierced by Chris' laugh is absolutely the right reaction.
Can we all agree...Hondo is probably the best and most unique creation the Clone Wars brought to the Star Wars universe ! There are no similar archetype in the entire lore except for maybe Lando...He just have the best lines : "Insolence, we are pirates...we don't even know what that means !!".
31:01 We would have actually seen that in the CW arc called "Son of Dathomir", but it was sadly cancelled by Disney taking over Star Wars in 2013, I think. 9 other CW arcs were cancelled too back then and have yet to be "renewed", hopefully.
Mandalorian with Sith Lords...a classic historical match up...when honor is a weakness the Sith can exploit ! Also the Black Suns are part of the Shadow of the Empire book and game...Dave Filoni knows his classic !! Just wish that last survivor was Prince Xixor, it would have been epic !!
Adi Gallia was a Jedi Master and a member of the Jedi High Council. The fact that Savage defeated her so easily should tell you a little bit about how powerful he has become since joining forces with Maul, and how powerful he could be if trained properly. Nightsisters' magic ain't no joke. It's like steroids for Force sensitives.
Mauldalore is one of my favorite arcs from Season 5 as it displays Maul and Savage joining forces with Pre Vizsla's group and teaming up with the other Crime Syndicates to help them take over Mandalore. At the same time, it also shows Maul's having interest in the Mandalorians from Pre Vizsla so he can use them as tools to get revenge on the Jedi including Obi-Wan, Count Dooku and the Separatists for his own army in the Shadow Collective following his loss of the Weequay pirates to Hondo. Plus, Vizsla telling Darth Maul what had happened following Season 2's Mandalorian arc and why Vizsla and his group have postponed their attack on Mandalore following their split with Dooku and the Separatists provided a much better context in this episode than what happened in "A Friend in Need" if you ask me. Speaking of "A Friend in Need", Vizsla and his Mandalorians having medical droids while they repair Maul's Legs and Savage's arm is in the words of Palpatine himself IRONIC cause the last time we saw Vizsla and his group, they were destroying several defenseless droids (including Medical droids) on Carlac just for the hell of it. Even Bo-Katan was portrayed much better this season and this arc in general when compared to her debut episode where she was just "there" in the background.
the whole point of this arc was to show that not only had Sidious trained Maul to be a master in lightsaber and force combat but also taught him the subtleties of politics which was not common for sith since it requires patience. Great to see Maul take his time like Palpatine does and manipulate and outmaneuver his way to power

The girl bounty hunter in Nul Hutta is a Zabrak, the same species as Maul and Savage, but I'm pretty sure she's not from Dathomir... Because The Night Sisters only allowed male Zabraks to live in Dathomir. Also.... Dathomirian is another race different from the Zabrak (Ventress and the Night Sisters are Dathomirian), and if I'm not mistaken... the Dathomirian race was created when Human Women (the original Night Sisters) had children with Zabrak men.

The female bounty hunter Sugi, is what Zabrak normally look like. Ventress has a great wrap up in the novel Dark Disciple. Also it has some more time with Quilan Vos who is still one of my favorite of the peripheral Jedi along with Aayla Secura. They did some cool comics for Aayla and Vos.
fun fact, Obi Wan is actually better when he's dual wielding. He's a master at that style/stance/technique, and in doing so he's essentially an impenetrable shield.
Regarding the watch order of Season 7: I think it’s best to watch them 1-12 in order, as released. I know that chronological orders may list them differently, but I think the narrative flows much better in the released order.
Lucas himself said that a criminal alliance under Maul would've served as the main antagonistic force for his sequel trilogy if he decided not to sell to Star Wars.

When Star Wars stops tryna be for kids and goes hard, we get this. Also, compare the “crime boss” story that we were promised in BOBF to just these four episodes. Maul showed the way, BOBF dropped the ball.

this arc alone is better than the new trilogy
Why they haten on Vizla voice of papa Jon Favreau lol
fun fact, Obi Wan is actually better when he's dual wielding. He's a master at that style/stance/technique, and in doing so he's essentially an impenetrable shield.
"We don't know if Bo-Katan was 100% good."
She never was, and never is, lol.
6:13 is iconic 💀
Those are bounty hunters not "Royal Guards"
5x14 is probably my favourite episode.
Favourite arch by far
Regarding the watch order of Season 7: I think it’s best to watch them 1-12 in order, as released. I know that chronological orders may list them differently, but I think the narrative flows much better in the released order.
18:32 who’s who of the goons!
This is one of the top arcs
Pre Vizsla is actually voiced by John Faverau 😭😭😭
3:12
Kurgan: Am I a joke to you?
Lex Luthor: Get in line.
This is where the fun begins!!!!! Looking forward to these episodes!!!!! 🙏🏽💪
This is not in the playlist guys. Had to search it. How dare you!
16:38 For the quintuple decapitation
“Ok we need to up the number of decapitations this arc.”
“Got it, boss.”
20:37: she’s from the kurosawa Felucia episode remmeber? She’s a zabrak and her name is sugi
Lucas himself said that a criminal alliance under Maul would've served as the main antagonistic force for his sequel trilogy if he decided not to sell to Star Wars.
BRUUUUUHHHH I wanted to hear Suraj's opinion on Andor. WTF EDITOR!!!????
Hi guys I've been watching your reaction together for clone wars for months , happy to watch your reaction to this episode of Maul and get ready for the next episode of Maul you all will love this one the most.
When Star Wars stops tryna be for kids and goes hard, we get this.
Also, compare the “crime boss” story that we were promised in BOBF to just these four episodes. Maul showed the way, BOBF dropped the ball.
11:33 Let the games begin
One of the best arcs. Also, yes to galaxy quest and Star Trek
Anyone remember when Suraj said that this was a kid show?
Y’all are in for a ride with this arc
Everything Mandalore related is top tier.
If you need some motivation for watching Rebels: Hondo is in it and he's better than ever
Dathomir is the planet. But Maul and Savage are of the ZABRAK species.
Chris, as I told you when you started watching the show, this series has the best lightsaber throw ever. I'm happy you didn't get spoiled in till now. From this points stuff goes down so keep avoiding spoilers all of you
Ah! Mandalorians & The Sith. Exar Kun's legacy paid homage to by Filoni was the background hype of this arc.
