Love the stubby Rubi style bumper. Wasn't sure about the green tow hooks at first, but they're growing on me. With the Gobi body paint, they complete the Desert style theme. Nice job!
Hello, what was the part# for the oem mopar front covers, if you don't mind me asking. Sorry, I was a little late to the party, but thank you for the video!
RobMotiveJT thats what I thought also! Love you channel always wait for the next video. And I just wanted a cheap bumper cause I know I might want something bigger/better down the road 1-2 years
I believe the holes in the foglight covers that came with the bumper are there because european jeep versions had the front parking sensor option which go in those holes.
Would like to know how bright the LEDs are in comparison to the stock halo's. I am definately considering this upgrade, though I might leave it full length on mine.
I don't know what's missing but I think it looks Great as well as the color of the tow hooks. Now you need to take updated pictures for the opening of the videos.
RobMotiveJT you could install a skid plate. Mine being the Rubicon came with a steel skid plate so I just reinstalled it. I just had to do a small amount it trimming on the edges and elongate the two upper holes. After that it bolted right up! There are a lot of options for skid plates out there.
Have you experienced any flickering on your LED fog lights that came with the bumper? I have a none LED package and planning to purchase the same eBay steel bumper with LED fogs. Thanks in advance
Hey! Thanks for the informative video. I picked up the same bumper and it came with, what seems, a bunch of extra parts. Having a hard time knowing where they go. Did yours come with a box of bolts, smallish metal parts, etc? Thanks much!
Just starting to sort it out! Well some of anyways, lol. A decent chunk of the parts are for the winch plate and attachments to put onto the plate for a winch to secure to.
Hey Rob the bumper looks great. I installed the same bumper on my Jeep, now you need bigger tires I think that’s what the problem is. I know cause thats the first thing I’ve noticed after installing mine.
Hi Rob. You did a video about patching a rust spot on your bumper. I’m getting a little rust area on my brand new factory steel bumper and wanted to know what you used for the touch-up.
Looking to do the same for my 2020 Gladdy. So Rob, two years later any Pros & Cons since adding the Rubi front bumper and quality wise how has it held up? As always your videos are informative, precise and awesome! Much respect!
Looks great!! 😁👍🏼 The holes in the fog light bezels that come with this bumper are for parking sensors if your Jeep came with them. Mine did not so I also got the Mopar bezels without the holes and replaced them as you did. Also, did yours come with the panel that covers the gap between the bumper and the grill? I noticed you out the factory plastic one back on. Mine came with a metal plate that covered that area. Of course once you install a winch, you won’t need the cover plate at all.
No such option for front sensors in the Jeep gladiator. So while they may have made holes, they can't fulfill that purpose. Only rears accommodate sensors.
P Koz the bumper isn’t Gladiator specific. It also fits a Wrangler. Although I’m not sure if Wranglers have the option of front parking sensors either 😂 🤷🏼♂️ At any rate, it’s an easy fix to just buy the Mopar bezels without the holes.
Thank you for this great video! I just installed mine, for the license plate, did you just drill a hole into that plastic? I can't figure out a solution other than drilling some holes since I can't find a mount for this bumper. Thank you Rob!
Does the winch plate mount to the frame or is it secured to the bumper only? From what I can see underneath it looks like it doesn't so I will need new winch plate.
Looks pretty good. Excellent way to get that Rubicon look, but I would get a front skid plate for it, factory or after-market, instead of that plastic air dam. I noticed that steel plate that covered the wiring harness for the lights inside the factory bumper. Did you have to remove it and reinstall in your new bumper?
Great job as usal Rob, couple questions I had after viewing the vid again though, my knockoff will be here shortly for my Gobi rubicon Gla. Do you happen to have a PN for the holeless plastic bumper guards. fog light fascia? Also, I wasnt going to go stubby, did your outer ears also have holes in them? Thanks bro, keep up the great work, maybe some interior or a CB install or an always hot 12v?
If you look at the other videos on the channel for the bumper you will find the part number for that part. Not sure what you mean regarding the outer pieces?
@@robmotiveplus thanks, I dont guess Ive done that enough yet, I will continue to review them. The outer ears I mentioned are the pieces you omitted to make it a stubby, the outside two pieces on the ends of the stubby portion to make it full width. thanks
That pretty cool. I was looking for a economical bumper for my 2021 gladiator with a winch plate and i think this looks clean to do that. Do you know if a rear rubicon lookalike bumper is available? Did you put a winch in and happen to know if a warn or smittybilt 12k will fit?
Can’t really see any fault with anything the only thing maybe is if you wanted to install a winch your license plate is in front of the cover winch plate Let me know though I’m curious, it’s not some thing I would use the only four wheeling I’ve ever done is with an ATV or side-by-side so not really sure what your front bumpers flaw is.
@@robmotiveplus I don’t think so. The bumper comes with rotating license plate bracket. You simply swing the plate up out of the way when you want to use the winch.
@@shabbathehutt817Same here. I know this is an old post. Were you able to find a way to get the bolts to line up straight? I am going to disassemble the mounting plate and put the stock hook plate in, because the bolts on that are not loose, and the go right into the mounting holes on the jeep. The hex screws for that plate are extremely tight… might need a breaker bar or something.
It's Ok. There are lots of other options out there too, I'm sticking with the stock since I added an ARIES PRO-SERIES GRILLE GUARD with a 20 inch LED Light bar....also the green tow hooks...just can't like them, sorry.
Looks Great will be doing this to mine in the spring. What looks wrong. - You no longer have the plastic air dam under the bumper now you can see all the framework. Also did you need to use all of the other hardware that came with the bumper for the winch plate?
Aloha and 🌟 good evening 🌚 Rob. This is a great installation to your Jeep JT Sport S trim. I can imagine on how the Mojave will look when you change the front and rear bumpers. Great video 📼 Rob.🌚😇🧐💪👐🙌👏👍🤙✌🤚👌👉🏼👈🏿🤜🤛👀🔑🔥😊🌟🔅📼🍊🐫
I think it looks better. Do you think you will off road it? If you think that may happen then consider a skid plate & a winch. If not it is fine. Tires are like the factory ones on my Tacoma. They didn’t look that of road worthy. On the other hand I put 44+ thousand miles on them when I knocked a hole in the tread of one of em. The WildPeaks look more like off road tires we will see how long they last.
It may see some light off road, but it will be the Tacoma that gets dirty. I am looking at putting some Wildpeaks on the Jeep. How is the ride and handling for you?
RobMotiveJT I find it good. When you feel comfortable COVID wise let me know we can mask up and meet on a parking lot in Harlingen you cans drive the Tacoma with WildPeaks get a true feel for them. Mine are factory size not oversized but you can still get a feel.
RobMotiveJT No problem I am retired so my schedule is generally very flexible. I’m really serious that it would not be a problem. Or if you want to meet up on that easy off road area outside of Brownsville.
RobMotiveJT it's a Rough Country stubby bumper wit LED lights instead of the regular fog lights super excited!! The lights might be the most difficult we shall see
Thank you soooo much for posting this. I have been hesitant to buy this bumper off of ebay. I feel more confident about the purchase now.
What lights are you using with this bumper?

Hey Rob love the videos, does the bumper come pre assembled?
Thanks. There is some assembly (a lot) of the bumper.
Hi, nice vid. Can you install the bumper without the winch plate in order to save weight? Did your jeep sag a bit because of the weight? Thanks
Absolutely.
did you get the skid plate back on? Bumper looks good
Are you talking about the air dam? It did not fit😐
@@robmotiveplus Yes, where you found the rock
Ahh! Nope, it doesn’t fit with the new bumper.
How’s it holding up?
Stay tuned…. And have a video coming up on that👍
Hi Rob, just curious, I don see the cutout for the winch!
It’s behind the license plate👍
Looks good! Still digging the green tow hooks. Air dam is missing though, makes it look a bit unfinished. Is there a fix for it?
Not that I’m aware of🤔
