  • 2009 Chevy traverse bank one sensor 1 o2 sensor replacement, and showing where the bank 1 sensor 2 back 2 sensor 1 and 2 ( at end of video I call bank 2 bank 1) truck started code P0420 catalyst states efficiency bank1. After a few weeks (today) the Traction control light came on with message service Trac control, stabilitrac. There was also a pending code P0121 throttle pedal position switch/circuit engine performance.
In talking with a Chevy tech it's believe the o2 sensor is bad, which is then causing the wrong air fuel mixture, then confusing the throttle Sensor. Or perhaps vise versa the throttle Sensor going bad causing the o2 sensor. But as the throttle is "pending" and the sensor is in error. I'm starting with it.
I am not a professional mechanic nor do I play one in RUclips. I am not saying this is your problem or how to fix it, just how easy the job was. I am also not a professional videographer. I did my best to explain the issue and what I did. I literally did this hours ago so will know in a few days if the issue comes back, but if nothing else it will show people where and how to change the sensors.

Informative video, but the last one you showed is bank 2 sensor 1, not bank 1 as you mentioned. All others were correct. Just pointing out for location purposes for others. Thanks! 👍✌️

Got a code saying Bank 2 lower bad P2099
Quoted AC Delco authentic at $70 each top and $180(!!!!) for each lower. Each. Yeah.
After scouring eBay for clearance shelves, twisted some elbows for combining shipping, got all 4 AC Delco authentic for $165 total.
Now for some elbow grease this weekend........(holds breath)

To help, yes bank 1 is on firewall side, bank 2 is on dipstick side. Top is sensor 1 (on both) and lower one is sensor 2 on both. On sideways engine's in these, stand at passenger side fender, that is basically the front of the engine. Bank 1 on your left, bank 2 on your right, looking at it that way. Also, bank one has all the odd spark plugs, 1,3,5 bank two has all the even spark plugs, 2,4,6 Thanks
