Really good set up, you probably get more work than you realise from people looking at how organised you are. The only thing I could possible add would be a Nobo style white board so you write down what stock you take out each day so you know what to buy. That way you never run out of the common items.
Know exactly what you mean mate, there are a few sparks near where I live that always get a lot of work but there vans are a rusty piece of shit and they are scruffy bastards. There is no way I’d have someone working in my house that didn’t give a shit about how his van, company and appearances looked, because you can tell his work is going to be the same standard.
I like the way you have fitted out your van, especially the matching colour scheme, black is my colour too. I think raising the floor with the large storage drawers is practical and a good use of space. Cheers Nick and keep up the great videos.
Nick put the uni lights to the underside of the ikea shelf with a thin metal sheet screwed to it, as the magnets will attract small metal flakes/swarf onto the top of your van and they will rust and eat into the paint, same as magnetic signs. See it happen far too many times. Love your new custom and keep up the great content.
The back of your van looks more like a stores it's that well laid out and organised. What's even better Nick is your a decent human being that will go out his way to help people and save them money if you can. Your apprentice is lucky to have a boss like you. I only wish I'd of had that opportunity when I was younger!!!
Superb job Nick...looks amazing, always look at vans and general appearance of anybody who does work for me - image massively important.......by the way for anybody wanting to sort out their van.... Toolstation have your fave waterproof Stanley stackers at £30 for a twin pack.
So far i’ve bought a cordless heat gun, ferrule crimping set, van vault, only use storm glands & need a new van now! Spot on though Nick fair play, job in the town!
Proper nice job. I would insulate the back of the van to stop condensation forming and ending up rusting everything. My van had been sound deadened, insulated, and plyboarded with acoustic cloth. No moisture, and the van is super quiet with a quality feel. If you get a quiet spell i would highly recommend those mods.
hello, a greeting from an Italian colleague. Congratulations on the excellent organization of the equipment. You can see that you do this job with enormous enthusiasm and passion!
SelectaDNA to mark your power tools and van helps as well Nick - Warning stickers on the van vaults and the tool themselves. Love the van load out, outstanding!
Nice van. I'm labouring for my plumber mate at the minute, his van is a mess. I'm start L2 electrics next year and this van is just what I'd have for organisation. I keep telling my mate, buy a few things you know you always need and save us 2 hours a day of shopping & driving. Great video. I need to find myself an electrician to labour for with a van like this.
I have van envy😂. Had a Custom for a couple of years and did something similar, not quite so impressive but it was cursed had 3 x visits to the body shop. Totally agree if customers wanting an estimate see a nice clean van on their drive you are more likely to get the job. Keep up the good work👍
Raised floor is a must, I'm trying to get around to do it in mine, here's a , even though it's a new van, when a exhaust issue arises it'll blacked them up and you'll be binning them, happened to me twice.
You speak sense lad. Different trade (plumbing and gas) but i have almost the same set up but went for the full Bott Smartvan with 2 sliders the same. Customers are taken back when they see the organisation. Your van is your office eigh mate. Make the effort ;)
Just come from the revenue video, when you talked about buying a box of ten sockets every now and again I prefer the phrase “better to be looking at it than for it” 😉. Big fan of Snickers work gear, wish I had the knee pads back in the day when I started out crawling through lofts!
Pimp my ride......you deserve all the best keep giving back I can’t wait to see your new apprentice when Adam flies on his own. You know the problem you are gonna have now keep it looking that neat😱 look into how you can remove the high moisture levels independent of what the temperature is outside - all those tools are vulnerable. It’s something manufacturers of vans should have addressed long ago. Installation of a fan and insulation will help talk to Ford.
That is a really nice and clean layout! Only one thing missing in my opinion, a first aid kit. Its something people dont think about untill you really wish you had one :)
@@entergenericedgynamehere8751 Well, Norwegian sparks do carry that aswell, but i would still recommend to have at least a small first aid kit somewhere in the van.
Have you ever made any inserts with your 3D printer for the Stanley fat max Organiser to change them from one small tub into like a 4 or a 6 partition tub for crimps or numbers ect.
Happy New year buddy. Loving the set up the only thing I will say is keep well on top of your security mate. That's your bread and butter. All the best buddy 👍
Love how you have done the van really smart and definitely will be more efficient brother for the uni lights put a clear film on the roof of the van so the magnets don't scratch the lovely paint.wish you more success thank you for sharing your ideas big up nick
Wow!! Love what youve done Nick, looks amazing. Used all the space really well.. i love a clean tidy van shows massively on how ur work inside properties r.. proper Pro 👌🏾👍🏽
Nice van speaking from experience been in the trade 45 yrs contractor for the last 25 organization is a struggle not only you but you’re apprentice also what I do as far as stock when I run low I make note on my phone immediately then pick It up and replace it good luck
Apparently there's a van tour competition going on? I think you've already won. In fact I can hear the other guys crying as they watch this! Very tidy and accessible mate 👌.
Love the van nick and the layout and you are right what you say tidy organised van means tidy and attention to detail tradesman... Again great video keep them coming👌
I know it doesn't look at clean, but the driver sliding door means getting to a common part of the shelving much easier. Would you believe in Australia we actually like glazed rear doors (can order with a tailgate to keep the sun and rain off) and side door and litle window in the bulkhead. Makes driving a shit load safer.
Sweet stuff, i always imagined myself adding an AC circuit to my van so that when i'm working somewhere and i need to charge up my battery's or smth else i can just plug it a cable from the van to the house instead of having to search the chargers and charge in the house with the risk of forgetting them
Not showing your alarm... I can only assume it's bespoke and give electric shocks of around 10kv, and you're not sure where you legally stand with it😎 Also, exploding paint🤗
Great video it’s good to see how other sparkys work, I’ve just recently took early retirement from being I the electrical trade for more then 40 odd years 😳, and like you I still like things organised 👍keep up the good work
Brilliant. Fantastic job. Getting to winter now, I didn't see any coat hooks.😉 Have you got the 12v socket in the rear pillar? The plug should be there if not. Handy for charging torches whilst driving between jobs.
@@NBundyElectrical you may need to fit the fuse for it, if you are unlucky the plug will be there but no fuse wiring. It switches off when you lock the van like the one in the front.
awesome setup mate i'd deffo will be taking a few things from this so thanks for inspiration think for your power tools draw, try kaizen foam at least that's what i'm planning to do
Love the van, top job, from past experience attaching your magnetic lights to the roof of your van will cause rust on the exterior of the van depending on the strength of the magnet

Thanks man. Really enjoyed working on this with you! 👊🏻 It's come out great! 👊🏻

The only thing I could possible add would be a Nobo style white board so you write down what stock you take out each day so you know what to buy. That way you never run out of the common items.
The most important thing is that it works for you. I would have more confidence in an electrician who took this much care of his tools. You good job!
🙌🙌

As an Aussie electrician with a Ford transit custom- I love your setup mate! Killer
thats mint, didnt even skip anything, good job done there :) gave me some ideas for my own van. nice 1
Thank you Nick for doing the Part two of the van Tour Love the Set Up it's Very Nice And Professional
We desperately need one Van like that! That is AWESOME!
A man after my own heart. I just love to see things so well organised.
0:26 the van looks awesome against the lights. Great idea your mate had for the lights 😎
Great video as always! Lovely van nice to see pride in your workplace shows that extra bit of professionalism when on a job.

Well, that wasn't depressing at all, fck my van and the organised chaos...
Van looks fab..👌
Who is in charge of your van?
Absolutely awesome van 👍. Given me plenty of ideas for my van now. Been waiting for this video for a while and didn't disappoint.
Well done Nick, fantastic job on the van mate, looks amazing!!😃😃
From Hilti and I think also bosch you get a dril with vacuum apliable on the machine all on battery - a blessing
Amazing video those Top Gear people have obviously got nothing to do with the wiring made this video well done brilliant
I wish my van looked like this. Van goals for sure.
Well organized van. Clever the system that locks bosch tools.
Those Van Vault sliders are legit, they look solid AF. Real nice!

Great job kitting out the van guys ~ enjoy those heated seats.

watch out with the magnetic lamps on the roof, they collect steel dust, or grindings on site and then rust mark the paint outside
That’s next level organisation
Very Niiiice. Beautiful van. Really well organised. A credit to your business.
Hell of a set up mate and all those rcbos👌👌
Nice van , inside and out 👌🏼.... so clean and tidy . If getting work goes by how tidy your van is then me and Al are screwed !😳🤣👍🏼🧱

That is some van .!! Great work .!
Smashed it Nick 🙌🏻🙌🏻
The black makes it easier to see stuff I think, as supposed to smashed up dirty ply.
And 100% customer sees that and knows you care!
Love the cable rolls on the door. Don't you find it a pain having barn doors? No rain's shelter and their always in your way.
Sweet stuff, i always imagined myself adding an AC circuit to my van so that when i'm working somewhere and i need to charge up my battery's or smth else i can just plug it a cable from the van to the house instead of having to search the chargers and charge in the house with the risk of forgetting them

New van looks good Nick.
Fantastic job Nick. Great lay out only question is where you hiding the flexi con
Lol I knew this would come up, I keep it under Adam’s seat so it’s nice and warm 🙌

Great van lots of effort clear to see
Could you please show us how those yellow socket protectors are fitted and protect from plaster
Genius idea
I used them in a few previous videos dude, but they will be in many more
You got more storage boxes in that van than a bocorey. 🙄
Maby put chris and the other ladder and the roof inside and a cover for over back doors when its raining
Apart from that looking gd
The van is unreal mate well done 👍🏻
might seem a daft question but where is all the ply screwed to?
I’d also like to know.
youve done a great job there chap
Metal Plate going rusty? Try either Stainless Steel or Aluminum angle chequer plate, nice layout and ideas!
Brilliant. Fantastic job.
Getting to winter now, I didn't see any coat hooks.😉
Have you got the 12v socket in the rear pillar? The plug should be there if not. Handy for charging torches whilst driving between jobs.

Another great video!
Would like to see how you put the lighting in the van and how you wired them into 12volts
I’ll pop in Another video at some point mate
When are you going to wrap your pipe carriers?
Will you do a video?
interested to see how they turn out!
Cracking job pal, well organised and the van looks 👌🏻
airbag in A pillar, not a good location for a phone?
I didn’t realise you were organised. Keep it up 👍🏻
Stunning Nick, stunning. Lovely B roll stuff, really good location for that video with those lights, really slick. Thanks for the video.
Love the van, top job, from past experience attaching your magnetic lights to the roof of your van will cause rust on the exterior of the van depending on the strength of the magnet
Didn't eBay have any Transit grills with Kopex or Bundy10 on them 😜 Great job on the van, love the videos 👌
😂😂next van
Fair play to you, this van set up is absolutely perfect 👌 this is making me think about an upgrade of van!
Congrats on 100k bro 😎
LOL i was looking at those IKEA trays the other day for using in my shed for storage. 👍🏻
