    Milwaukee and Supply House couldn’t buy better advertisement during the Super Bowl than this video. I’m in the market for new tools and I think I’ll go with Milwaukee M12s because that’s what the pros like you use. Awesome video. 👍

    Lexi, your "new" van reflects just how professional as an electrician you are. After watching almost all of your videos, you are absolutely next level. Your knowledge of electricity and understanding how things work is just mind blowing. The minute they would ask me to dig a ditch to run conduit for 440 I would be done.

    Your van turned out really nice. My van is tall and I put the Milwaukee locker it there with lot of pack outs. One quick suggestion, ever thought about getting rid of all those chargers and getting the m18/m12 rapid bay charging station? It will open the shelf up for more storage.

    I just spent 5 hours doing the same thing to my work truck. Packout is the only reason I'm somewhat organized. I also use those same ladders they are super convenient. The clicking on the bottom step took a sec to get used to thought! you set up is nice!!!

    I hated moving vans. The company I worked for never gave us enough time to move and to organize our equipment. Unfortunately, I am no longer with them and all my tool are stuffed in my garage. That will be a project for the winter here in North Mississippi. Van looks great enjoy your new setup.

  • @davidwestervelt6050
    @davidwestervelt6050 5 месяцев назад

    I like the layout looks great! I recently got three bucket bags. I use them constantly to pull tools and material. I tend not to lose things because everything kept in the bag as I move. Then it can be sorted back to its place in the truck at end of the day. I use them for lift work also. I like that they collapse when not needed. That seems to never happen. My truck has hooks on the rail like in your truck that they hang on nicely. I always wish we could get the ladders inside stowed a different way to get to things better. They are always in the way until you get the truck opened up for the day. Nice clean truck a lot easier to work out of. Great job.

    Might be worth running a brace from the bottom strut to the middle strut at the mid point. Looks like there wasn’t an anchor point for the middle strut to hit but there was on the bottom strut? That would give the middle strut support so it can’t sag.

    Love organizing. When I buy a house the garage gets fitted out first, then I address the rest of the property. When I buy a truck, I line out al the tool storage before it has ten miles on the odometer. Point being, when your shit is organized you are wicked efficient with lower stress levels. I tell people all the time... you are going to think I'm slow coming out of the gate. While other people start without a plan. I start with a plan. Doing re-work sure looks busy but somebody pays for it one way or another. I've kept a P-Touch on hand for decades. Just make sure to use the commercial adhesive versions. Crooked labels and at different heights wouldn't last long around me. Adjustable square to set the application height on your rails.

    Almost 100% now. Suggestion would maybe be a side of the van mount for ladders? I mean it shouldn't be a worry on drivers side and if you keep en low enough they aren't in the way of the mirror 🤷🏻‍♂️. Idk I'm a heavy equipment mechanic for underground equipment, I'm as clueless as it can get with that van life 😅.

    You should throw some PV up on the roof for charging batteries. 😊

    • @christopherbsmith
      @christopherbsmith 5 месяцев назад

      As a fellow electrician who also operates out of a work vehicle, I believe there is no real need for PV on the vehicle for cordless tool charging. The vehicle itself has a pretty robust charging system and battery to work with.
      You will find using a 12v charger for your cordless tools in the regular 12v power socket provided by the manufacturer to be sufficient.

    My only thought is just making sure your safety equipment that you use on every job isn’t blocked by tools that you may not use on every job like a ladder. That way you don’t have unnecessary moving things around, or the temptation not to get the things you really need. I find myself always trying to make it easier to get the everyday stuff for myself.

    Only issue for me, been in the trade for so long that seeing 2 different color pack outs inside the van looks like ivory switches or receptacles and white switches or receptacles on the same wall or 5000k and 2700k lamps in the same fixture. lol
