- Enotria: The Last Song may not stand out as the best Soulslike released in 2024, but it’s not a bad one either. Combat moves along somewhat slower than I’d like, but the clever Mask Line system makes up for that with its open-ended class creation.
And if combat isn’t enough to get you to try it, the rich visuals might. Enotria shines in its intricate level design, particularly the way it loops in on itself. I simply love exploring the environments in this game and would give it a higher rating if it weren’t for a bevy of other issues weighing it down.
Enotria: The Last Song has been plagued by bugs at launch, but if you can get through that as well as its slow combat, you may find yourself having a fabulous time like if you’re a fan of Soulslikes like myself.
This game makes me appreciate lies of p even more

Lies of P is as good as From's best, this game definitely wasn't even close to being 'This year's Lies of P'.

Lies of P is a secondhand copy of Sekiro, and that's it.

This game is good but would be better if it had a mini map or some type of thing pointing you to the right direction but that's my personal opinion
Completely agree. Bosses and some enemies have far too much health. If it weren't for that I would've continued playing. Hopefully a mod will come out to fix this. This is my complaint with most fromsoft like games.

I don't like the idea of comparing it to Lies of P. As it stands for me now, Lies of P is an exception in the "Souls-like" genre. I found it, as many others, at the level of From soft and I played a lot of Souls-likes. I know, all the ones who loved it, would like it to be the minimal norm. Here they still made a great job though even if not (yet?) at such a high level.Well, it works for me at least. On top I love the whole art.

Why god why can’t the gaming industry move on from the soul like genre, it’s a niche genre that from software has filled nicely.
There are diff genre of games man! if u dont like soulslike or burnout of it, then go on and play diff genre, but soulslike genre will be staple because of fun/hardcore type of action RPG and many gamers want;s to be challenged and have fun at the same time.
Because soulslikes are for many people who don't accomplish anything in real life so they can finally try to get recognition for doing something that is tastelessly difficult for self validation.
@@TheKing-vb2bw they are not that hard really if you get a good build. and usually you can summon help. its not about difficulty, most people including me just like the combat, exploration and build-crafting. only the souls elitists talk about how good they are when they beat a fairly hard boss, and bash others for not doing it the same way they did and for those people, your comment is correct lol
@@theeliteterrarian1888 well yeah I apologize. It’s usually the gatekeepers who openly talk about FromSoft games. I do enjoy parts of them but I don’t enjoy spending anything over an hour max on a boss. It’s like, I get it- the games wants me to feel like I earned some on thing but it just loses all its appeal. Then the thought of having to go through it again leads me to extreme anxiety so I’ll never touch the game again. The only FromSoft games I’ve ever completed was the Armored Core games- mostly because they are terribly depressing as well). I end up playing all the other soulslike games for maybe 4-6 hours before I’ve had enough lol.
btw, you can play this game in full 360 VR using UEVR, it's gorgeous
when I think about games like Wukong, Elden Ring, in this genre, I just appreciate more what Wukong or Elden ring has to offer, AAAAAAAAAAAAA games are very very rare and limited, and it is enormously difficult to make a flawless game in this complex genre if no pure love and time in it.....
Some Correstions:
1. First of all there are only 3 MAJOR ZONES.
2. Elements are almost compulsory. Specially for some bosses.
3. The bosses taking too long to fight is cause you are not using the right element. The weak element deal extra damage and the immune one deal half damage.
To many bright areas clunky combat no chance in buying it

This comment section is proof how ungrateful the gaming world has come and how much shit they've smeared on what a "gamer" is. Its a fun game, JUST dropped, and people are acting like their won't updates to fix things, acting like Cyberpunk never existed.
I just completed this game and for everyone please wait until the price is discounted. 1 - 10 I rate this as a 5. The direction of this game imo, is average. They need to do major updates
The camera has some weird fish lense type effect makes the movement look weird and cheap
The map designer of this game should change jobs because the map guidance design is so excellent that it highlights the huge shortcomings in other aspects.
I faught vermiglio one time died ..then went back to fight him and he is no longer there so I can’t advance now stuck with no boss spawning anymore

Why are there so many of these games
7 feels generous. Bugs, sponge bosses, improper combat feedback (in a combat game), plus evidence from my own eyes watching the gameplay, this feels more like a 5 to me.
I ordered the digital edition and they told me in a notification that the items would come later And I could get a refund

I lost 14 hours of gameplay just quitting from the game to menu and continuing it glitched and then said are sure you want to start a new game I’m like ahhh no I’m not and canceled and still bugged my save and made my level 70 to negative 1 and wouldn’t let me open the load anymore.
That said the game is so much fun. It’s a must play and this bug has been patched yesterday thankfully.

@@Melchiorblade7 I almost didn’t start again I was beyond pissed. Actually worked in my favor I got to where I was in less then 5 hours and I had way more then I did since I knew what to level and what not to waste time on. Glad I didn’t just call it quits

True! But Souls games weren't original to begin with they're are just hard hack and slash games, putting a stamina bar in and a slow ass dodge isn't original they've been featured in other games for decades. I like souls art, but don't like the slow ass gameplay! I prefer the slick multiple combos of dmc 1,3,4,5 ninja gaiden 1 black and all the bayonetta's

@@Valtiel_2001 lmao nah you're cluess, dark souls combat isn't complicated, the stamina puts limits/restrictions on your activity, on every move accept walking! the core is, learn the attack patterns roll, walk your stamina back hack and slash once youve memorised the openings and crappy roll evade windows its rinse and repeat. You can complete the whole game with this approach. The combat is clunky and in my opinion slow and simple its only hard because the crappy combat, is limited by a stamina bar, and op enemy damage. All the features have been done before and done better! The art style is good though! It isn't original just challenging, I think dmc 3 euro version is harder than darksouls
