The only thing you end up accomplishing is making it significantly easier for criminals to commit crimes since they will be the only ones with guns. Now I have a question for you, why is it the civilians that the left wants to take guns from but it's never the police as well? Why is it wrong for civilians to own "weapons of war", but it's perfectly OK for the police to have them? If you're going to be taking guns away from law abiding citizens then the police should be included as well since they are not the military and there's absolutely no reason why a police officer should be armed with an AR15 which is a gun that the left considers to be a "weapon of war".
