Janet's Delicious Low Carb Kitchen I ADORE your recipes. I just genuinely need to thank you. For the first time in my life, I use coconut flour without messing it up. And the almond flour things always turn out perfect. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s those room temperature eggs lol. But every time I’d make bread or cookies, or anything with almond flour it just..wasn’t entirely right. Good but it didn’t taste exactly the same. And I ALWAYS seemed to fail with coconut flour.
Could I ask you a favor? Could you, if possible, do more biscotti videos? Like chocolate biscotti, or some other flavored biscotti? I tried to edit the recipe for cocoa powder based chocolate biscotti but...it didn’t work very well.

How is garbanzo bean flour with carbs. I see the vegan recipe used these for pasta called Penne
Sorry it took me so long to comment for some reason several comments from months ago are just now showing in my feed. Garbanzo flour is very high in carbs. Not as high as wheat flour but it will spike a persons blood sugar
Can you deep fry the donut batter to make munchkins?
Yes you can just keep an eye on them they can burn quickly

Is it safe to eat the raw egg in the frosting?
When I make the frosting I use a tiny bit of lemon juice. The acid from the lemon juice kills any bacteria or you can pasteurize you eggs before you use them. You can check out my article "How to pasteurize eggs at home" janetsdeliciouslowcarbkitchen.com/how-to-quickly-pasteurize-eggs-at-home/

Raw egg???
Have to object to the raw egg in the icing. Just not food safe practices to eat raw eggs. Don’t want to hear how everyone’s granny has done it safely for years, yada yada. Not in this day and age.
You can cook it after you spread it or just use cream cheese or butter to make the icing
You can pasturize eggs and they remain runny.
Totally understand. I have many other frosting/icing recipes you can use instead. Also when I make this icing recipe a lot of times I will add a very small amount of lemon juice to it. The acid helps to keep any bacteria away and you only need a very small amount so your icing will not taste like lemons.

I raise my own chickens and get eggs that are much healthier than store bought eggs. And I would never use a raw egg without cooking it. That is not a safe practice.
