Just had a look at this recipe because I am planning on making carrot and lentil soup but I normally use the sauté function I take it you don’t need it for this recipe 😄
Lovely video Liana.. Will be trying this recipe soon and will let you know how it goes. Love how you keep instructions clear and straight forward. This recipe will be great for me and my partner as it-s quick and healthy which suits our lifestyle.
Hello, I just ordered my ninja hot & cold soup maker, it will be delivered tomorrow. I watched quite a few videos and I was quite pleased to find someone from the UK cooking as it is different than the American recipes. I would like to ask you a question: you said one should not go over the maximum line. Is that just for the liquid or for everything that goes into the jug? I have seen many people selling the jack up to the brim with vegetables or fruit. I really do not want to kill my machine immediately after arriving. Thank you very much for replying, greetings from Scotland, Heike
Surely the point of sticking to the guidance is to avoid excess pressure in the blender forcing liquid past the jug lid seals. I stick to the guidance and have no mess at all. The max line is for everything I believe and that works for me.
Hey, thanks for making this video! The booklet calls for oil but I notice you omitted it. Does it make a difference in the taste? Looking forward to your response. (Newbie to cooking here!)
Hi! Thanks for your comment - yes, sometimes I add it, sometimes I don't. Frying any onions/garlic in a little oil first does enhance the flavour, but it's a personal choice and not always essential - it depends on the soup really! Let me know how you get on and if you have any questions :)
I will try and make one for you soon, in the meantime I have a potato and garlic soup here (you can reduce/leave out the garlic if you prefer) lianaskitchen.co.uk/potato-and-garlic-soup-in-a-soup-maker/
Thank you for your videos! I love that i can watch them w/out sound and still know exactly what i need to do.
I wish you would make more.
Thanks Rodolfo - I plan to start making some more this week!
really enjoyed this video Liana, you really should do some more.
Thank you! Will do!
I like how clear and to the point you are 👍🏼👍🏼

Hi Sarah - you can use the saute function - sometimes I do and sometimes I just chuck it all in and switch it on!
I really enjoy all of your recipes , thank for sharing
Thanks Adam :)
Soup looks lovely, do you think split chick peas (channa daal) would work in a soup maker?
Finally got round to making this soup and it is delicious, it was so easy 😋
I'm so glad you enjoyed it :) It's one of my favourites!
Thank you for doing this recipe.
I’m thinking about making Wild Garlic Soup , can you do a video of this ?
