Lovely painting Karen and you make it look a doddle! We have white Hellebores in the garden sitting under our Kent Cobnut tree! I agree about the blowdrying, it does tend to flatten the paint and make it dull, much better to leave it to dry naturally. Great art lesson again, thanks, Karen.

I loved this video. Your painting is lovely. I got such enjoyment from watching you mix your colors and drop them in wet in wet. Pushing the water to the edge to soften it was new to me. I have been doing the opposite - starting at the edge and pushing the color out with water. I am fairly new to watercolors and learned a couple of things I'd like to try. Thanks.

Blow drying or using a heat tool definitely dulls down the colors. I’ve found that is you wait until the shine is off your paper and then dry manually, it doesn’t dull down quite as much.

Hi. I love your paintings and I have tried a few but I have a question. You seem to use different paints and different types of paper for painting. I only have Cotman water colours (Tube) from Windsor and newton and Fabriano 140lb paper. Is it important to have all of these different paints and papers?
