So far I've learned 2 ideas I'd like to try from you: sandpaper on w/c pencil, and blotting white gouache with a tissue (which I should have figured out on my own, lol). Very nice, and, thanks.

Karen, I enjoy watching how you paint flowers. You make it look easy, i would like to be able to put details in like you do. I haven’t been painting in watercolor long but i realize 1/2 the battle is using professional paints and 100% cotton watercolor paper. My artwork has improved greatly from upgrading my supplies.

Stunning watercolour and high time I took up the patreon membership. I've always lent toward acrylic because I am not delicate enough with watercolour and I over work it but, I'll need to upgrade my watercolours too. Super tutorial as always.

I had a go at this yesterday.... I felt I was overworking it as usual but the one thing I noticed I put in a couple of dark strokes and it made a huge difference. I often underestimate the need for darks. The paper tissue was working overtime too!!

Gambouche for center or quin gold, or hansa yellow deep all mix fine. Note gambouche is more opaque if you dont like it use more water.

Hi Karen, I’m having a go at this tutorial, I’m just wondering if I can go go back into as its fully dried now to create a little more depth in places in the background, and what would be the best way of doing it without creating blooms? 😊
Hi Pauline, going back working wet on dry should not creat😀e blooms. Working wet into damp paper creates blooms. Hope this was helpful
