every version of caroline seems to have a key or multiple keys, as if to unlock the doors/realms/spaces she’s traveling through. every key has a loop, or an open circle at the top, which could be a door in and of itself. the word “door” also has two o’s, which are closed loops that could also be passages somewhere else. everything about this is so lovely

One day I’ll be running through the ‘door’ to you again Dudley, where ever you may be now, I love you ❤️ thank you Caroline for this beauty.
You just made my day Sean. The brindle greyhound named Dominic is mine and the red and white one named Barney belonged to a good friend who died six month ago. Back in the city
I'm just another girl in a sweater
Perpetual novice
Signature on a check made out to you
Took ten laps 'round the planet
To prove what I wasn't
And the door slams hard behind you
When you leave the house of judgment
Been waiting for regret to hit me
Some kind of reckoning
I waited for the drop, 'cause lately
The yang comes with yin
Back in the city
I'm just another girl in a sweater
Perpetual novice
Signature on a check made out to you
Now there's the sunset
Salt in the wound, yeah
Sometimes I don't know who I'm singing to
Who is the you who I sing to
When the house is empty?
You open the door
To another door, to another door
To another door, to another door
And I'm running through to you
You open the door
To another door, to another door
To another door, to another door
And I'm running through to you
And we're waking up sore and dizzy
From a ten year concussion
And the rainfall makes you miss me
Even though you say it doesn't
Back in the city
I'm just another girl in a sweater
Back in the city
Everything's different
When we're not together
You open the door
To another door, to another door
To another door, to another door
And I'm running through to you
You open the door
To another door, to another door
To another door, to another door
And I'm running through to you
Running, running, running, running
Running, running, running, running
Back in the city
I'm just another girl in a sweater
Perpetual novice
Signature on a check made out to you
Now there's the sunset
Salt in the wound, yeah
Sometimes I don't know who I'm singing to
Who is the you who I sing to
When the house is empty?
You open the door
To another door, to another door
To another door, to another door
And I'm running through to you
You open the door
To another door, to another door
To another door, to another door
And I'm running through to you
Running, running, running, running
Running, running, running, running
Running, running, running, running
Running, running, running, running
this is entirely incredible, can’t stop thinking about it
One of the best artists of our time, it's hard to find some orginial music and original voices these days.
i always love coming back to this.. was my first song of hers. still incredible.
I cant believe this was released 5 years ago i still love this song and pang so much life changing album
every version of caroline seems to have a key or multiple keys, as if to unlock the doors/realms/spaces she’s traveling through. every key has a loop, or an open circle at the top, which could be a door in and of itself. the word “door” also has two o’s, which are closed loops that could also be passages somewhere else. everything about this is so lovely
one of the most beautifully well thought out productions for a music video i’ve ever seen. everything is majestically fluid and --- what beautiful song… wonderful production of it as well.
girl you have me
THE DOOR SLAMS HARD BEHIND U WHEN U LEAVE THE HOUSE OF JUDGEMENT 😭😭😭😭😭
The mixing on this song is so well balanced. Those little highs in the chorus lift it all up so elegantly. 👍👍👍
This song takes me back to 2019. Back when things were starting to take shape, to make sense. But then 2020 hit and now my whole life is a mess. I've lost myself, I just want things to go back to normal...
This video belongs in a museum
Welcome back, Caroline. You were missed.
this reminds me of a time that everything was ethereal and stagnant but moving at the same time, like watching petals fly away with a still sunset in the background idk i love this sm
MY QUEEN IS BACK AND I FEEL SO ALIVE
This is a love song, I guess. She also beautifully explained the concept of recursion.
The world is not ready for this song
This video has so many 'cozy' scenes i love this song
This is so beautiful, so stunning and so natural.
perfectly mixed and produced, wow how many people were involved.
3:25 there it is, ladies and gents....the key to my heart and soul, she literally holds it and i have no choice but to leave my doors open🤩
That scene of her walking the dogs in that sunset lit street ❤️
My greyhound, ‘Dudley’
passed away in March 2020 and when I was on my loweset point sat on my sofa feeling completely numb this video come on, I hadn’t heard or seen this video or song. When the greyhounds come on, I got so emotional, this song amplified it, it’s so beautiful and sensitive. One day I’ll be running through the ‘door’ to you again Dudley, where ever you may be now,
I love you ❤️ thank you Caroline for this beauty.
You just made my day Sean. The brindle greyhound named Dominic is mine and the red and white one named Barney belonged to a good friend who died six month ago. (Cancer sucks for both humans and greyhounds!) I love the idea of dogs and humans running through doors that never close to be together again. The way Caroline sings “running running run-ing” at the end feels eternal as does so much of the video.

When you've listened to it so many times that you start changing the playback speed just to have a new experience
becaus its a boring song
1.25 is so good
Abbey Carter 1.5 is fave :) it suddenly sounds like a drum n bass club banger lol
fav of all times
The vibe of this video is like it's 2003 and you turn the TV on at like 3 am and this is on, you're mesmerized but didn't catch the name of the song or the artist. Then no matter how hard you try you cannot find the song or the video ever again, so you start to believe maybe you dreamed the whole thing, until today when it randomly pops on your youtube recommendations
This is so specific and accurate. Burning eyes and all.
Such a beautiful and ethereal voice, her eyes are also beautiful as well. The craftsmanship of her videos, is stunning as well. Just. A purely new experience. I love it.
