Yess, I feel the same. Like it creates this hype when she collabs with the same person because we already have seen how great things work between the two. She has so much good stuff! She was in a band called Chairlift (their biggest hit was “Bruises”. I remember it from an Apple commercial back in 2006-7-ish). But of her solo stuff, “Door” is my fave. The music video is art. “So hot you’re hurting my feelings”, “Bunny Is A Rider”, “Welcome to my Island”, “Smoke”, etc=all bops.
Seeing these 3 fully individual artists/personalities working together is so refreshing. It’s so real, no one is subscribing to a certain look or movement. Just full authenticity and passion. This is what popstars are made of.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Christine‘s total commitment to her character in the video, killing it on the dance floor hamming it up with those sweet moves. I’m not particularly familiar with her music or her persona, but clearly she was having fun, and she was equally fun to watch. Really, the whole video was, it was cool to see each bring their unique style to the song and video.
this is honestly one of the best absolute collabs I have ever seen. All three people are very different in their style and here they are together meshed in this beautiful harmonic piece where they each get to show off their strengths. So damn powerful.

I think the thing that really captures you in this song, and this performance, is the amount of joy in the performers. I think the thing that really captures you in this song, and this performance, is the amount of joy in the performers. They clearly connect artistically on a very visceral level, regardless of any difference in vocals, style, or aesthetic. Every verse hits in its own special way. I knew this song would be a grower as soon as I heard it, now it’s one of my favorite tracks in Charli’s career.
