I was fortunate enough to work this event. I work in live entertainment daily and usually pay no mind to the performers, just there to do a good job on my setup. During rehearsals she really caught my attention. This was by far one of the simplest yet so intriguing performances I have seen in the last 15 years. Super incredible. I feel fortunate to have been a part of it. She just gained another fan as I never knew of her before this!!

As only one person said I made it up, I would think they were kidding. For more detail LOL, I am a projectionist, and we had two Panasonic 21k laser projectors dual converged on her teachers board. Some may think its some sort of tv. Its a job not many know about cause there is such a small group of us. But like I said, I have pretty much watched every video she has made now. I can speak for a bunch of the people I work with, they were equally as amazed!!

Oh my God, I was thinking about how much this tracking reminded me of Sophie! It’s beautiful that her influence can still be felt in music made after her passing. She lives on forever 🥲
@raine5548 I’m sure you’re already somewhat familiar with Cecile, then, but you should def check out her entire body of work, including under her other monikers!! She’s amazing and I was so excited when she and Sophie got together. I’m hoping she and Caroline will collaborate more in the future

So I've opened the song in a music software and it turns out the waveform shown at 1:19 it's the actual waveform from the song and the "you are here" point is the actual point in the song it's playing in that moment.

A trap door is a sound/instrument/melody that connects back to another track (for instance, the melody in the bridge for Smoke is the same melody she sings at the beginning of Pretty in Possible). She's getting weirder!! This is awesome. Caroline hasn't produced a bad track in her solo career. Even though this is a messy bonus track, it is precisely what the pop world needs right now. And I think she is the first music artist since David Byrne to use PowerPoint on a stage.

@@cheyunderwood7941It lacks flow and structure. I can see how this wouldn't fit on Desire I Want To Turn Into You. It makes Pretty In Possible seem traditional in comparison. The critics seem to like it, though. I'm old, and I always say one of the worst bonus tracks of my lifetime is Who Dunnit? by Genesis (but they also gave us On The Shoreline in 1991, and Phil Collins scored a great bonus track called For A Friend 3 years after that). So back to our queen. Caroline is lobbying for a Grammy nomination, so this will certainly help. I'm a big fan, but this song is yet to win me over.
@@BrendanMacWade Ironically I find the structure of the song to be very homogenous, it's just within those walls of predictability the lyrics are juxtaposed, and try to deviate from sense being made.
She actually was much weirder and unstructured right before Pang. She made very ambient odd stuff. Then on Pang she started to pull back to more understandable structured songs. Now she’s going back.

I have never heard of this person before but apparently she’s huge so where have I been. I’m an old so I’m comparing her to Laurie Anderson and Diamanda Galas and if you don’t know who they are look them up. I’m happy to see someone following in their footsteps and continuing the tradition of anti-tradition. I will explore her oeuvre. My hope for the future has been restored, at least until I start reading the news again. Though maybe I should just get all my news from her. She’s telling me everything I need to know.

Caroline slays every time. She's the rare vocalist where I can't tell if she's lip syncing or not because she sounds the same either way.
@@1newme425 the track is definitely playing (and is too high imo) but she is singing too -- there are parts you can hear that the vocals sound a little doubled, and that's not in the recorded version. it's harder to tell because her live voice is really, really good

Maybe she is really that good, but I am doubtful with the way she is moving that we wouldn't see her catch her breathe as she's singing. It just sounds way too much like the original track.
