BIG thank you for this video!!! I have been loc'd for a little over 2 years now. While I love them, I have been heavily contemplating doing away with them and switching things up this year... however, I don't want to cut my hair... Oddly enough I have not found ONE person in my next of the woods who has done anything over than chop their locs off, so watching your video has given me some motivation for sure!
Thank you very much for this video training on how to take out your locs without cutting your hair. Most people who have locs prefer not to cut their hair, that is why they wear locs. And thank you for showing the products you used. You look beautiful. God Bless.
My bf has been toying with the idea of taking out his twisted locs so I'm doing research in the event he takes the plunge. He was just gonna cut em off, but... I love his hair and he prefers it longer so I'm willing to do what I can to help. This video was super helpful.

I love the way you give those step by step and I save it your video because it was exactly what I was looking for. I am taking out my locs of 4years this Friday which is July 28th 2021 before my birthday in August. Thank you so much and wish me luck 🙏
Loved your video and your spirit! I will say I am amazed you had success with the diy deep conditioner because I don't mess with raw eggs in my hair anymore. They literally cooked in my hair and it was hell to take out. Now mayonnaise works miracles. LOL
Yes!! It definitely helps your hair shake back after all the distress. Consider trimming your ends as well. Your hair will thank you! Hoping for the best outcome for you hun 🥰
I'm in the process of removing Sisterlocks. I started in October and got thru most of the back. But then in November and December, and even January, I hardly combed out any. Now I'm at it again cuz this transition has lasted long enough. It's actually going faster now because I bunch like 4 or 5 together and am able to pick them out at the same time. I wasn't on a timetable when I started but definitely am now. I plan to be done by April.
I'm glad for this video. I'm only 9 months loc'd at the moment but I'm saving this video for later if I ever want to take the locs down. I have about 95 locs.
Yes Queen! I love that. Until then, I wish you well on your loc journey! Enjoy every moment of it. It truly is one of the best journey’s I’ve had in my lifetime.
You're so beautiful ❤ im 2 years locked in and due to give birth in March. I only have about 40 locs 6 of them being combinations. Before locs my hair was apl and my locs are now apl. Do u have any recommendations on retaining my length?
Thank you boo 🥰 I apologize for such a late response! If you’re still needing some help I suggest that you make sure you use as much water & conditioner as your hair will take. The more wet your locs are when you’re detangling, the better. Also take your time and stay patient with the process. It’s going to feel like it’s taking foreverrrrr but if you find yourself compromising being gentle due to impatience, take a break! I wish you well on your journey girl 💕
I do protein masks on my twins’ locs all the time. It wouldn’t hurt, but I know it was very beneficial for my hair afterwards. I was able to apply it to all of my strands, something that is hard to do while loc’d.
Oh my stars your baby is so beautiful, I’m sure all 3 are! I’m so inspired now. I have a lot more time then you, I hope I can cut off a couple of months of time. Thank you saying that shedded hair was just trapped hair and would have shed anyway. Makes sense!
Raw egg proteins don’t penetrate hair due to molecular size, you’ll need to use egg powder for a protein treatment that lasts and is actually effective

Hey love! My youngest daughter has 4c hair and it is very soft as well. I started her locs with 2 strand twists and they’ve done really well. So I say go for it if that’s what you want. I believe that any loc method can be combed out with the proper products. I’ve combed out locs that started from two strand twist and I’ve combed out locs that have started from interlocking (mine). Finding someone to help you get the look that YOU want is super important to your journey. So take your time, do your research and then proceed however you see fit sis.
