Lauren had strained one of her vocal cords, and was close to not performin in the finale! Im sure if she was 100% she would have done alot better! Her voice is better than Danielles!
@LaLaLaurenfan exactly!! adam lambert didn't win...but you hear..heard...more from him..and joey and rory did better than that caitlyn and whoever in the can you duet! she's so good..and country...easiest to go into
Search for Danielle Bradbery performing this song. She can really drive the vocals much better. I'm not saying she is bad, just saying that that this type of song needs more *umph* behind the vocals and power to hit those notes.

Agreed, I've listened to Lauren perform in dozens of videos, and this was the least enjoyable to listen to. There was too much effort by Lauren to hit the higher notes; which she had easily hit those notes on many other performances. Maybe she was not feeling well, which happens. In any case, I'm a Danielle Bradbery fan and a fan of Lauren too. I don't think everyone has to take sides. Lauren has two years experience since being on AI; Danielle has three months.

I love lauren but this was not a good song for her, Danielle Bradberry beat her by a long shot. Ill still buy both!!!!
