Carrie did something that most stars don't do when singing with contestants. Even Scotty with Tim McGraw. Carrie sang HARMONY when Lauren was singing the lead. Most stars just keep singing lead and if they aren't in perfect sync, it clashes. Carrie knew it was Lauren in the competition and was there to help her. Great job by both.

A small town young lady from Oklahoma and she has came so far and she will go down in history as one of the best no doubt about that!! She says her roots are in country and a great country music artist she is. They're won't be another Carrie Underwood and she's one of the best that has came through AGT that's for sure!! They both did amazing, Carrie did well as she took a step back to let Lauren lead and came forward to lead as well. You can tell the different experience level between them. Carrie stage presence was more relaxed and comfortable, while at first Lauren was still nervous(just her stage presence, her voice was great) but I think in harmonizing with Carrie made her more comfortable towards the end. Can't believe how long ago this was.

Most contestants who try out on Idol, take it for granted. They are going to do well on it. Where as Carrie did the opposite, she took nothing for granted. Even though Carrie to this day, doesn't realize how good she is.
