Thanks for the white balance tip! Hopefully it’ll be a firmware update... 🤷🏼😂 I’m not a huge fan of the IBIS, but it’s fantastic for photos, keeps images so sharp, even on slower shutters.
No worries, this camera is looking super sweet. I haven’t taken a lot of photos yet but I’m super keen to try them out. I think video is just a bit more complicated then taking a photo so the ibis needs more improvement. The next couple of years this will be great.
Thanks for your video Josh. Just got my R6 this week and my C70 is ordered. I wish I could record to (even 1) SD card while also outputting 4K via HDMI to my computer on the R6. I wish the EOS Utility worked better with the WebCam software, as they clash and can’t run at the same time. I wish the “Camera Connect’ iPhone app was a little more responsive when connected to the R6. I hope I can record to SD on the C70 while concurrently taking a 4K60p feed via HDMI.... But I’m very happy so far with my R6, and I too have not seen it overheat yet.
The c70 looks like the dream owner operator camera!!!! Yes I think there are a lot of quirks with the R6 that are more firmware based. I think the camera connect app is awesome but it is in no way is good in practice. Seems like no one uses it because it’s not great so canon don’t think about improving it. The red Komodo wifi and app is amazing and is the future of what these apps could be!
Haha, sure if you say so. I’m not 100% sure on why you would film something 30mins in 60fps straight? Also I did call this camera a hand Warmer........haha.. My c200 runs warm too, so does the red cameras I higher. Not sure what being warm means? My MacBook also runs warm. I also did say it may not be the best for weddings but I defs had no overheating issues and filmed for over 35mins straight. I do have the camera set to auto off though 🤷🏼♂️
Josh Hodgman I have a R6 lol I returned it got another one thinking maybe it was a bad copy. I am a hybrid shooter shoot outdoors and this camera is a hot potato in sunny weather especially if you 4K shoot video. Not good for a expensive camera. Other than that it’s a cool camera. Maybe you got a copy with better thermal paste idk but on my end it was a bad experience on the video side.

Matthew Philip you should buy a Canon R6 try it out for your self. Not a reliable camera. Not for professional use.
