    When taking the white balance photo you would need to utilize your intended lighting. For example strobes with any ambient light or strobe only. Correct?

    This has been a really helpful video Gary. In passing it is good to see your choice of a really feminine lady as your model. In today's world most models we see portrayed do not look like they are in the real world, too glamourized if you see what I mean. I have sent a couple of queries to your customer relations team. Firstly do you have to shoot a different shot of a grey dome ( card ) at each location you shoot at, whether that be studio, flowers, landscape etc. Second. How do you incorporate the grey shot into a picture you are editing in lightroom to make a preset.? Do you have any videos on these two points which could help me please? Thanks, David U.K.

    I took a picture of a white sheet but my custom white balance still seems warmer then the auto white balance. Strange.

    As usual, a great & to-the-point video Gary.
    Edit:
    PS: Did Canon really write "....img's..." in their (US) English version? No wonder the possessive/genitive case are being mixed up big time with plurals on the 'net.

    How to dellete thats WB ?
    Can it replace to default ?. Tell me please

    • @GaryfongInc
      @GaryfongInc 6 лет назад +1

      The WB will maintain on whatever option you last set it to. If you need a new custom white balance, simply repeat the steps via a new target or select one of the camera's preset. Additionally, you can dial in a specific Kelvin temperature if you know a source is consistent from one day to the next.

    Man, this is so much easier to set up in Sony cameras, much more intuitive, no unnessesary pics and lots less buttons till you have your WB. And it will even tell you the kelvin it measured. Canon really should completely redo this UI.

    The model is embarrassed because your white balance dome looks way too much like a big ole diaphragm. "Cut!!!"
