Just picked up the Canon R6 a few weeks ago. LOVING IT! Big step up from the M50. I have no idea how to make the C3 footage look nice so I've been using the standard 4k lite but I'm looking forward to learning. I've had to learn to edit and use a camera in a matter of weeks but I'm loving it! Thanks for the tips!
I would be so shocked! They did surprise me with all these other upgrades so who knows haha. I don't film much super slow mo anyway so its not even on my list of features needed personally.
Yeah, the R6 has really caught the eye of a lot of videographers it seems. The camera has an incredible image, and the clog 3 addition makes it way more appealing. Great video!
Thanks for the love on the VID! I know right the R6 has been a sleeper over the last 12months and kinda ignored, now when you look at it, its hard to keep looking past with what it offers and can do.
As a hybrid camera its pretty crippled tho - Id love to get one but having no photo/video toggle switch or being able to save custom video settings would slow me down.
I get what you saying, Im very more leaned Video then photos. I would be interested though how many Jobs you get that you need to switch on the fly from video to photos though? Or is it more for personal use when you out and not have a lot of time to capture a moment?
@@JoshHodgman quite a few - i shoot for a event company and a couple of food and drink companies - very often if its a photo job they'll say can you get some clips (usually vertical)

Great camera. I got it when it released and it does an amazing job. I don't have over heating issues like all the news said about this camera. Yes, it can overheat, but you have to be careless or someone who shoots with the camera on and never shutting it off for an hour.
I will say, I convinced my brother to buy the R6 unlike my R5 purchase, and it's been great so far. There's a couple things I will note. The 4k can't shoot in ALL-I like the R5. There's no 4k 120, there's no custom video settings you can program into C1, C2, and C3, and although this is debatable I'd say the Canon R5 just has something nice to the look that the R6 doesn't seem to have. That being said, I still think the R6 is lowkey a really great camera and is pretty underrated. Also.... The Fellow Ode was an excellent choice.

Also I get what your saying I think I'm coming from the thousands in price difference between the R5 and R6, for most people the R6 will be a better choice. There are always better features but I think the R6 has come a long way specially for a content creators point of view.
Good question, If you are shooting sports or fast moving objects R3 with the stacked sensor, anything else like, commercial, wedding, events, landscape, sweet, etc I would stick with the r6

That’s great. The R6 is a weapon! I got a view vids on my channel that could help you. I also have a free LUT you can download 💪🏼
Couldn’t agree more the r6 just keeps getting better and better, now if canon gives us all-I recording and 4k 120 man it will be the perfect camera.

Interesting thoughts mate, You could use an external recorder like the atoms which can take an SSD. You thinking for longer recordings?
