You need way lighter oil in your shocks, Like 20w there way to slow to work perfect...... lizards are known for this. Your build is super clean and perfect, exactly my style. Nice work Bud.........Dan
I clicked this video in hopes to get some insight on how you mounted the body to the chassis. I have the Carbon kit and that same body, but I dont know how to effectively mount it up.
Looks awesome bud. I have all the rock pirates stuff too just got the vrd too. Going to be a sick build. Nice job. I’m in Canada winter starting to hit now. Thanks for sharing ……
Bad ass rig, bro. You done a really nice job, especially for your first build. I'm waiting for my kit to be delivered. And I'm going to order them bumpers, as well. But, they have them in two widths . So, what are the width of them bumpers, for this rig?
@jeremiemummert989 Thanks 👍 I really like how it turned out!! The Comp bumpers are 3.0" for my rig...you would just measure the outside width of your frame for size 👍
I appreciate it, thank you! The purpose is basically to protect the exterior of the servo from rocks or debris being scrapped up against it...I suppose it's not too necessary, but I figured what the heck!! Lol.
Nice, because I almost ordered some power wagon sliders, which were Not going to work with my chassis. I'll definitely get them when they do have them ready 👍
@EastBayCrawlers yeah, I think they more specific fit to their Kraken and Interceptor chassis'..otherwise as with mine I've noticed others altering their hardline beds as well. 🤙
@@SoCalCrawlers They don’t really fit those well either. I think it was originally made for the enduro chassis if I remember correctly. I have an interceptor and kraken and it isn’t made for either.
It only fits nice with the scx10 II and the enduro yep. got one on my capra interceptor build. It pushed the sides out a bit. Still ok though@@NovemberFoxtrotRC
Thank you, I appreciate it. Some popular spots that I have been to are Del Cerro crawl spot, Santee Boulders , Sunset cliffs, Torrey pines glider port, and up where I live , there's a small rock cluster on top of Double Peak park, at the top of the mountain next to the parking lot overlook..🤙
You said your truck was clicking. But aligned the drive shafts from axels to transmission and it went away? I’m having the same issue, except it’s not going away. Been trouble shooting for a while now and cannot figure it out 🤷🏻♂️
So yes, I realized that my driveshafts were out of "phase", they weren't aligned properly.(Ensure that both ends match-up where the set screws go)...I corrected it and later just switched then out for some Metal Incision driveshafts. I also added some of the blue vanquish grease on the gears. Been perfect ever since. 🤙
@@SoCalCrawlers thanks dude. That’s what I’ve done and it’s still clicking unfortunately. 🤷🏻♂️ may play around with it some more, then may need to try out Incision shafts. Thanks again. Blessings! 🙏🏻
@NewLifeRC989 Anytime 🤙 one last thing to check that just came to mind. Check over all of the transmission assembly, gears, especially stop pins. One on mine came out somehow as I put it together. So otherwise, get it all sorted. 🔥☠️🔥👌

Awesome build. Great walk through of the entire rig. Looks like an absolute beast!
Thank you, I appreciate it. 👍
That's a sik ride. I think I'm gona order one soon.
👊🔥👊 Thank you
If you remove that front cross brace you can velcro the battery right on top of servo
Very nice Car😍🎉👌🏼 LG Manuel
Appreciate it 🔥☠️🔥
That driveshaft aligning you talked about is called phasing.
Beautiful Rig Sir
Thank you, I appreciate it 👍 Have a good one 🤙

There are plenty of other videos and ideas on how to mount this body. You have to get creative and or attach it using a bed like I am using. 👍
What’s body is it

Cool build, super clean! Im trying to sell of some to build a similar set up out of my dsm carbon chassis
So uh.....nice build. Thanx for sharing. I have never heard of a servo shield. What is the purpose of that?
Thanx

Which set of incision drive shafts did you get and what’s the side pieces on your skid plate on the outside? Love the truck great job

I could never tune the Lizards to my liking....I put the stock S8Es back on. Can you share how you set yours up?
Yes, I have them set up with the 2 hole diaphrams f/r, 32.5wt/50wt, long soft spring only f/r. 🤌
Rock Pirates should be making some sliders for this soon.
Nice, because I almost ordered some power wagon sliders, which were Not going to work with my chassis. I'll definitely get them when they do have them ready 👍
I really wish they’d make the beds chassis specific as well. They dont really fit anything properly.

How did you go about determining where to drill the body post holes and what did ya drill with?
I determined the body post mounts prior to painting the body, I used a drill and some small drill bits 1/16" up to 1/4". Then viola it was done 🤙
Nice build. Hey, where are the crawl spots in San Diego? I work down there from time to time.

Thank you..they are the 3"'ers!! 👌

Dumb question cause im still a newb, thats the vrd chassis right not the Rock Pirates?
Not at all 🤙, it is the Vanquish VRD chassis, with Rock Pirates add ons.

How did u get your desert lizard shocks to do that pull?
Used long soft springs..40w oil, 2 hole diaphragms. 👍
How does this compare to the Zoku ZRD?

They are the driveshafts for the SCX10/SCX10ii..they are a perfect fit . The sides pieces are the rock sliders. 🤙
