The most premium brand in rc, offering maybe their best truck and they put a 1060 in it? It's like when you get your first rc car for Christmas and Santa forgot to include 4AA batteries. It seems like FMS is the only rc company that gives you more than you were expecting.
I figure if i get the rtr im going to upgrade everything that comes with the rtr lol, wheels tires motor esc body everything so i might as well get the kit hahaha

I would recommend this for sure in this high performance category. The tires and the suspension are just next level.
The Redcat is a good starter for one who really has just $300, and maybe free more money down the road.

Debating on either the stance or the Capra and whichever I get will get the fusion 2n1 motor esc ? Which do you think would be more capable ?

Incredible deal at that price but I want to see how it performs compared to the carbon kit with similar set up. I could go either way so I’m definitely paying attention to both. Please Please get & review the new Hobby Plus Evo Pro the brushless one with Furitek I’m super curious what your take is on it I have one already but they are always out of stock I set up email alert & as soon as I got it I ordered it & the next day both models where sold out. Oh it’s a 1:18 scale mini Stance looks just like it only 1:18. I had it out with the Fury & the Fury can hold it’s own but my feeling is the Evo is in a different class even stock the first 1:18 comp rig. 👍

This is my first crawler and I’m really impressed with what it can do stock.
I noticed u said no weights. Confused as the one I was looking at said it came weighted .. maybe different

The tires look really tall, but seem to grip pretty well.
Comparisons now man with Ascent and this VRD Stance...first stock vs stock then some mods between them.
I was enamored with the Ascent that I wanted to get one but now this VRD Stance came out...whoa whoa wait...I might save up for that instead.

For the price of Proline DS foam they should have options like hard,med,soft. I find Proline DS foam is only good on my 8lb + rigs.
So true. The form is quite hard and not good for light vehicles

I think this did a great job with the geometry. Think whomever developed the geometry knew physics and geometry vs something like the ascent or other rtr's that are more hybrid and less comp.
I'd be curious to know if the vrd has the same geometry as this or slightly different because after the build, it seemed to have better weight distribution than this Stance. Does this come with the same upgrades the kit offers like servo behind axle steering and diff motor mount, etc?
The price though... we all know its inflated and labor cost is crazy high. we just need a company whom wants to undercut and take more market share.. but can't because each rig is so diff so everyone prices it the same and shows it off as different and new.
Definitely, this company know rc geometry. It seems to defy physics with it sitting so high but crawling so steep and composed!

Mine arrived on friday. I had a spare fusion pro 2300. The car makes alot of noise and has a clicking noise. Do you push down the body in the skids to place the body pins. HELP
What is clicking, after install of 2300?
The gearbox of the car in generale is loud. I think the body enhances the sound. I only drove it 2 minutes with the original motor and did not pay attention to it. Second thing i Found . The smal berm on the front drive Shaft hits the chassis when front suspension is fully compressed. I cut the berm out with a knive
I alsof had to cut a smalle piece of the skidplate to fit the motor. And trim a Link that hit the motor when fully compressing
When you turn left the wheel hits the link. Anyone have the same issue?

You mention the 1080 esc but you say a holmes hobby motor and not a specific one though? A more sensitive one? Could you narrow that down to a particular one?

I dont plan on modding it for now maybe wheels and tires

Between these two, the Stance RTR is a better vehicle and value.
But if you can wait til March 20, there's something better these two coming.

Ok I am in the market for my First RC and it's between this Stance and the Redcat Ascent. I don't mind spending the extra money so I would love your expert opinion. Should I just start with the Vanquish Stance VRD RTR? Oh BTW I have been riding and racing mountain bikes since 1992 and now I'm a brand ambassador for Structure Cycleworks. I Love MTBR. I'm currently researching RC cars to use in my fpv project. This truck and the TRX4 sport are the 2 I am currently looking at most. Could you speak on this vrd stance in regards to top speed? I am worried this rig will be too slow in comparison with TRX4 sport after I install the 2 speed conversion kit directly from Traxxas. This allows me to travel a decent speed(10 ish mph) I'm hoping to get a very capable truck with great suspension for long range fpv adventures in the woods and rocks. Thanks so much for all the reviews and information you speak on in these videos.
The top speed on the VRD Stance is about 5 mph at best. It's really not made for any kind of speed so the TRX4 Sport is much, much better for your purpose.

Do yourselves a favor and buy the kit version. Why pay more for a stripped down version that you will have to upgrade most of the electronics anyways, all while missing out on all of the upgrades of the kit version.
I think this and the kit serves two different markets. The reach of this VRD will be impressive and it will please hardcore comp crawlers and enthusiasts.

Happy new year, cool review rtr is the way to get to the new consumer. Kits are for the hardcore diy person.
New hobbyists get hooked with RTR. And it's really the majority of the rc market. Especially the RTR audience that loves to mod and upgrade!

I dont like the crawler style the realism of the axial and traxxas are better in my opinion.but great video man!
Fair enough! Yeah, this style really sacrifices most thing for pure performance. And these are really just for those who want to compete or those that have really tough, rocky terrain ton conquer.
That's why there's Class 1 and Class 2 type crawlers for competitions.
That's why there are more options for any type of RCs today, we are more spoiled for so many choice than we I was a kid in the late 80s starting RCs.

and links are weaker on the rtr
the rear links bend easy
COMPETITION 😂🤣😂🤣. With ESC good only for winches, trash motors, servos may be good for DIG, and radio is good for children with not enough channels. Vanquish is making just a jump for money 💰 inexperienced, young drivers.
