I ended up using countersunk screws with my Rock Pirates stuff to mount shocks and body mounts and it all centered up nicely. Lovin the "family truckster" theme... 👍
Really really needs double stacks of led headlights on each side, and 4 red led lights on the frame in the back. The lights wouldn't even have to be big, just enough that it looks right for the joke to work. My friend drove a tan wood paneled 87 country squire wagon in high school. It was like riding in a couch.
Obviously the 4mm holes bug you, given your engineering background. That’s a given. But as you said, not a deal breaker. Apparently not, given the amount of time and effort you have put into it. Awesome build. Great movies.
I also countersunk the mounting holes for my rock Pirates shock Towers worked out pretty nice, not so happy with the shock mounting set up I thought about doing small offset bushings
I added a 90 degree edge on the inside of the skid that runs the length 2mm from the body. I then added Velcro to the body and that edge. No body pins and it's on there good!
Looks amazing. I need that rear brace for the hardline bed. Just finished my build with all rock pirates and can't believe their bed doesn't just fit right on to their own chassie....🤦♂️😖🤔
Love the channel. I am doing the same build with the interceptor chassis and the VS410, where did you mount the battery? The only thing I can think of it mounting it with velcro on the rock sliders. Thank you for the help.
That seat looks great. I was gonna ask if the dash was real wood, then I realized it's probly the same as the body panels (tiny screen problems hehehe) the family truckster was a great idea, one of my favorite movies. Y'all have a badass day 🤘
That came out great. I would just add 2 more things, a bumper sticker that says Holiday Road and a I'd sticker that says Family Truckster!!!! I might try and buy this!!!!🤘🤘🤘
1.99$ isn’t anything to pay for the file. IMO dont make it free. You have hundreds maybe thousands of hours in 3D modeling that’s worth 1.99$ to me. Hahaha
I don’t blame you for charging a small amount for the files you put alot of work into it but I’m glad it’s at a modest and honest price, I’m sure people would pay More and I’m sure you know that but atleast you don’t jack the price up really high but I am going to donate when I download a chassis file because all the time you spent on the templates for others to follow as well!
@@HarleyDesignsInc I appreciate you and all the hard work you do, I’m trying to get all my rigs sorted out so I can come out and meet you at a event. Youve been the biggest inspiration in my shift to crawling from bashing and I love the work you put into your vehicles it really pushes me to do better and try harder.
Whatever happened to this build? I don't see an episode 3 on your channel. I was really hoping to see the Interceptor chassis finished up and run, researching buying one for my Enduro. The interior/cage on this turned out so nice! I hate power wagons but would almost consider running one to take advantage of your 3d print files...
I’ve bought pretty much all the files you show on this and they’re turned out great. I noticed that that bell housing doesn’t screw to anything. You made mounts on yours? Plan to sell that file by chance? Or, is it okay to run it without those? Thanks!
I have a scx10 ii rock pirate build and i love it but sumone pepole complain about the bed looking awkward with how short it is its dusnt bother me but was wundering what u and utheres think
I realize this video is old but shot in the dark. Is there anyway to get the file for the micro servo mounts used for this? I'm doing a similar project and at a lose on mounting the servos
@@HarleyDesignsInc Thanks Josh I guess I’ll just have to try it. Just thought if the Phoenix skid worked they could be used too. Are we allowed to send your files to a place like shapeways if we don’t have a printer?
Bro you should really be like designing for a bigger company bro you're really good I pray that one day I can have the time to take her like that and learn and do that stuff that is awesome
I seen a video on a dig while back and you used a 4pv and set up a 3 way switch for the dig. I have a 4pv and haven't figured out how u did that. And havebyet to find the info how to do this even with the book. Will say I'm not the best with high tech remotes, but wish someone could help me 🤔🤔🤦♂️🤦♂️
Would it be possible to buy the file for the cage and have sendcutsend print it? I have a printer but im not sure that I could print this without messing it up.
Most printers should do this without a problem. Send cut send is not for 3D printing but you can find other sites like Shapeways and such that can do it.
My God your old. Hahaha. Kidding. Your only like 7 years older then me. You millenial haha. Anyways. The truck looks super awesome man. Great work. Love how the Phoenix stuff fits so well. Killer job man.

Josh: "I think it actually turned out pretty good" Everyone else: ...
This
Woah woah woah, I actually liked it…. It’s hard to mess up a comp wagon….
Definitely need the empty leash hanging from the rear bumper. Aunt Edna on top...ehhhh maybe.
YES!!!! Those are worth at least 100 scale points!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤘🤘🤘
LoL I forgot about that.
I ended up using countersunk screws with my Rock Pirates stuff to mount shocks and body mounts and it all centered up nicely. Lovin the "family truckster" theme... 👍
You need a micro cord dog leash and collar hanging off of the rear bumper
Moose out front should have told ya!!!
Being a "scale detail hack" myself I have to say the interior looks great. Love this build.👍
Love this build! One thing that always stood out to me on the Family Truckster was the doubled headlights...perhaps an additional detail?
You may see a little of what I’m thinking in the CAD clips. I agree the quad headlights are needed.
@@HarleyDesignsInc I yX
I’m digging it! The twin setup is gonna be awesome on the trails.
I have been watching Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day and RUclips just recommend this. Excellent!!!!
The interior is amazing man. Great job.

Cool build! How about doing a video on your design workflow for parts, software used, 3d printers, cnc machines used etc... Thanks again
Build looks Awesome Great idea for the theme Family Truckster Some of the Best movies back then Fletch and Armed and Dangerous Thanks for the video

You're right, no body posts. It takes away from the overall look. I want to see the the spare tire mount, that may look good. At least to me.
I need those micro servo mounts!
Harley my man I love this build ! Paint job and stickers is perfect! I love rock pirates 🏴☠️!! Beautiful build brother
Love it! My friend when...when will a scaler put the iconic manual search light on the drivers wing window.where are they??🤷♂️🤷♂️😀
Episode 3 coming soon? Super eager to see how this thing goes and what kind of body mounts you go with 🙂
I added a 90 degree edge on the inside of the skid that runs the length 2mm from the body. I then added Velcro to the body and that edge. No body pins and it's on there good!
I've been using the little nova wides for my jconcepts ruptures. I love them
It may have already been pointed out but you definitely need to include a dog collar hanging off the rear bumper
That flocked Bench seat though!

Have the company doing your bumpers make you a longer bed so it goes to the end of the frame rails
I like the cage. I may have to pick it up with new comp body released. Want to make cliffhanger cage?
Yeah I’ve got a cliffhanger version almost done
I can not find where you put up the files to print the bumper mount, tranny mount, or the bed mount???...Where did you post them?

That is looking great! Seems like a great chassis to work with.
Body looking good!
wood grain on point
How does one go about getting that servo mount with out a printer that is on the trans
The Chevy Chase white loafers gotta be worn when trailing this rig !
That came out great. I would just add 2 more things, a bumper sticker that says Holiday Road and a I'd sticker that says Family Truckster!!!! I might try and buy this!!!!🤘🤘🤘
What was rock pirate’s rationale for the 4 mil holes?

Need a Marty Moose silhouette cut into the front bumper between the tubes.
What material did you print that mount in? So smooth! What 3D printer you run?
Super fair! I’m happy to pay to support you. Lotta work, and outside my skill set 🤟

What’s the plan for battery mounting on this? I notice there isn’t a tray in this video
I run small packs so I’ll put it on a slider.
Could you use the Phoenix front servo and bumper mount and rear bumper mount?
I don’t think so. I don’t think they’d match the chassis shape. Although you could probably cut them up to make portions of them work.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Thanks Josh I guess I’ll just have to try it. Just thought if the Phoenix skid worked they could be used too. Are we allowed to send your files to a place like shapeways if we don’t have a printer?
@@donald2818 you can do whatever you like with them, I just prefer people don’t sell them.
Inwas thinkin about the 4mm holes. Could you use the brass sleeves that come with most servos to take up any potential for slop/movement?
Looks sweet! Nice build. No high clearance links?
I noticed you didn't use the front gear cover as well as the bellhousing cover on your kit and was just wondering why
They aren’t needed for strength, they are just for style and protection. Just left them off for a little weight loss.

Great theme once again! Just wondering what printer you use these days. Thanks!
Did you end up sharing that hardline bed/chassis brace file?
I found it on your website. Thankyou!
Anyway you could post the STL for the rear bed support for sale? I’d prefer your design over the Element Servo plate I’m currently using.
I’ll post up all the cross braces and such for free. I’ll do that here soon.
Any way I can get a couple of them micro mounts made for dig and overdrive ? I don't have a printer...??
The best way would be to buy the file and send them to a place to have them printed. I don’t do any contract printing.
What sight to buy the file from? Thank you so much.
Did you ever comp with this truck?
How do I get the file for the servo mount and the bed mount

You need an Aunt Edna for the roof🤣
You did a nice job.
What printer did you use to get it smooth and what settings
Looks great!
On the rear bumper are you gonna attach a dog leash and collar just hangin there? Lol
Did you have Send Cut Send make a mount for the shift servo's? If so, how can I have them do the same?
Send cut send have launched a new feature that will allow me to offer that to you. I’ll get something uploaded soon and update the build.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Perfect! Much appreciated and I will definitely have a couple of these made.
Any update?
Should put a literal trunk on the back with junk in it! Lol
Nothing wrong with trying get that money back, on scanner ! 1:99$ is great price anyone can afford it!
Tks for information
She’s a beaut Clark!
You need a Chevy Chase figurine. It will not be complete until Clark Griswold is behind the wheel.

Next level awsomeness!
Can I get the 3D print for the hard line bed?
Everything is on my website, HarleyDesigns.com and go to the 3D File Store
I like to know where to order the hat you're wearing
It’s from Vanquish Products, more are currently being made.
Zamzam water from mecca saudi arabia is amazing
A power wagon body on a rock pirates chassis?? I've never seen that before.
Needs the headlights can't call it a truckster without the headlights
The color of your T-shirt wood have been better! 😂 not bad on painting though. Show more complete builds dude! And no cheating.lmao
Don't forget to put a leash and dog collar hanging from the rear bumper
At least you can drive it through East St. Louis…#honkylips😂😂
