Your Ecto is basically everything that I’ve done to mine. Hands down the best thing I’ve done was servo on axle. I just got flubberstuffers to go with my tusks and now it’s even more amazing. However a Vanquish VRD will be here soon and my Dirty South build is almost done so we will see if one of them dethrones my Ecto.
Awesome comparison. Great vehicles. I would like to see the Ascend include since you have the sources. Impressed by the performance of those two, just fantastic. Especially with same tire running.
The ecto is an amazing rtr out of the box, It can hang with a lot of lcg crawlers. But imo the vanquish axles are superior, as far as quality/durability and design go. If you want the ultimate crawler, just buy the vanquish axles separately, then get a lcg chassis kit, and build from the ground up. It will walk all over both of these RTR trucks.
In my opinion it was the vrd hands down. I have been watching all of your comparison videos. The vrd has literally just walked through the lines that it had trouble with today, in the past. I run the lighter front brass portal covers and Brass beadlock rings in all four tires. I was running brass portals on the rear, but my truck does much better without the rear weight. I am running megalithic and 2300 Pro . It would be cool to see this comparison again, with your vrd setup like mine. If I did not live over 3,000 miles away, I would be there at the EXO Plex showing off my truck and its skills . I am very competitive at heart😃 As for the Ecto, it is a very good truck with some more tuning I believe it could hang with the vrd all day long 😃 P.s desertlizard shocks, real trucks Don't Run rubber bands.
Two very different trucks (4link vs. trailing arm), with very different handling. I think the Ecto held up pretty well (amazing in fact), given that it was released over 2 yrs ago and didn't have the advantage of brass or front overdrive, like the VRD. Overall, I thought the Ecto proved itself against the VRD! 👍
Maybe it's just me, but it seemed to me like your driver mod was a little turned up when you were driving Ecto. Seems like you were rushing with the VRD and taking it a little slower with Ecto and also seemed like you made better line choices with it. just my $.02
hey exocaged not sure if ur still rocking the 11% overdrive but u do know that team KnK have the 25% overdrive u should do a video on it and see if it makes the ecto even better i have the ecto with 25% overdrive and man its a night and day difference plz do a video on it gooo ecto lol
Mentioning the Ascent at 300. I was looking at the element senduro SE at same price as ascent. Thoughts on which is better? With soa and less weight in the chassis vs ascent servo on chassis and lots of plastic up high. Thoughts anyone? Would love a vid comparison on rtr at same price point as you did this one.
You have to band the vrd….just rubber bands even. Ghetto but it would perform better. Idk about the big boys making lcg kits. Ecto is lower lol. Better off buy sendero. Or element kit and a lcg chassis go SOA and slam it down bam prob not much more than redcat better quality??? Banded down front on ecto def helping it Is 37 percent overdrive too much. Or is that help that vrd pull it over even more. Sorry don’t mean to ramble lol
The VRD Mud-Truck is $429 as a kit how much has it actually cost you? to almost be as good as a almost stock Ecto 🤔p.s if you put that super heavy servo in the Ascent I bet it would eat the VRD Mud-Truck too!!!! VRD= very ridiculous dollars 🤣
Because the forward bias is different it makes your comps unfair. You need to find vehicles that are more compatible. It shouldn't be to hard, you built them.
Some people think because it costs more it's somehow superior in every way and thus will always win, 𝙉𝙊𝙏 even close to the truth and love beating them every time.
Give the ecto some brass and KNK 25% overdrive gears and watch it go
the ecto held it,s on, love the ecto!!!!
I believe the rear brass portal weight hurts the VRD break over.
Not sure it's so heavy to make a noticeable difference tbh
Change the transmisión in the ecto to get rid of the torque twist it will outperform the VRD.
I wasn’t aware. What transmission would you recommend?
Make any modifications to either and they'll be more capable, this is kind of a silly comment.
I have the Ecto & I’m impressed seeing it perform on your course. 👍

You should do the powerhobby injora chassi vs the vrd carbon
I like the little kick at the end man get extra pickles that made me laugh
Nice shootout between the two thanks for sharing

Picked up a ecto and love it got to say so capable out the box .
Never quite seen a comparison video like ur and I loved it bro!!! Just got new sub cause ur videos are gr8 viewings!!!!
I need to see Sam vs the VRD!🙏🏻
If any comparison ever needed a round two is definitely this one. Please I'm going to end up buying one of these two LOL

What chassis you recommend?? Thx
At worst its a tie. I think besides the climb you knew Ecto couldn't get, the Ecto was faster on all of them. In my opinion the win goes to the Ecto
Hell yea ! Great footage!!

Ecto for climb time
Both of those are badass
I would like to see previous comparisons done on the same tires . I think the comparisons would be a lot tighter then the previous comparisons.
Yup he has way to many variables

Definitely was rushing the vrd. Spent a lot more time picking lines with the ecto.
I agree.
Oh must be Vanquish fanboys🙄
@@dieseldabz7104 Grab the net baby, I got a big one on 😁
@dieseldabz7104 you must be an ecto fanboy to think anything else than what was said lol
Wondering if there's going to be a best crawler of 2023 or variety list
That’s sick!!!!
Wicked test dude. I couldn't tell a difference on Climbtime, personally. It was damn close though
'Crowley' is a demon. 😁
That’s my gripe with the element transmision. It provides way to much torque twist
Look at how much grass is on the front of that vrd
Good old ECTo
Love hearing all your heavy breathing on the mic
LoL only when I’m stupid busy.

The more I see the vrd the more I want one lol 😂
👍😁😎✌️

Dollar store wolverine hair
I want to see an ecto vs ascent video

It looked to me like ecto crawled up climbtime beter
Dang ecto could have whooped up on the vrd
Yeah for sure
I'm an ecto fan boy, but come on. That VRD blows it away. Yes the ecto made it a battle, but going up fall time says it all.
what is going on with the hair
👍🤪😁
Where can I get the Crowly?
You can build an identical version. Rocks are free usually everywhere
Got cocky with the carbon at the end. Lol. Almost cost you an axle
Hook the ecto up a bit more and try it again…
Bad driving don't count.. 😂we have seen the vrd do way better on the same climb,s .
Another Vanquish fanboy
Vrd won cliffhanger. I dont know how you came up with the ecto winning that. The ecto was further right where its easier. Same with gap o death.

Mud truck?
Lol delusional
@@nicholasstephey8475 Honest bro' I'd love to know how much Mr Exo has wasted on the Mud-Truck....................🤑
that fact that the VRD is being compared to an Ecto says all you need to know about that trash Vanquish "crawler"
