Says the car isn't special...smiles ear to ear every time he gets on it. Says it handles rough roads better than his much more expensive GT350. repeats it just isn't special. Says the engine isn't very special..smiles and gets excited on a straight road. I think someone is in denial😎 Still enjoyed your review and your honesty. Very refreshing. Earned a sub
Most underrated car of this generation. This car drives so much better than the bmw m2 or m4s and they get all the praise. I got my 2ss 1le for 43k in June. Absolute steal. I think it’s better the car is unknown. It’ll appreciate like crazy when people realize this one slipped past their noses. Great review! Good editing and entertaining, watch some of my driving videos!
Same here. Got my red hot 2020 1SS 1LE back in June for 41k. Had a hard time finding one in my state. Very underrated car and I love it more than my c7 grand sport corvette that I had.
I saw the Head to Head motor trend review, the Camaro SS 46K beat the M4 82k in just about every test, the only area that was close was on a road course. Not a big surprise really, the Camaro has always been a great bang for the buck if not the best.
Do it bro!! Better bang for your buck outta of the maro, them 392s don’t make much power at all🙅🏽♂️ and way to heavy. If u ever go MOPAR it better be a Hellcat or higher, otherwise forget about it✌🏽
The reason why muscle cars don't have over the top fancy interiors is because you're mostly focused on looking straight ahead, the money is spent on more important things such as performance oriented things.
Agreed. I test drove a 2SS in September. Of course, at first, the short windows are noticeable. However, after setting the mirrors properly and 2 minutes of driving time, you'll see that visibility is not an issue at all. (Blind spot detectors and rear view cam make it easier). (This is not a Countach) Anyone complaining about visibility in this car is just a wuss and easily intimidated...they wear their fear on their sleeves and don't even know it. Bottom line...this is as good as a driver's car as they come. PERIOD.
Yup. As a 5th gen owner, it took me all of 10 minutes to get used to the visibility, and it hasn’t been an issue now for 3 years. I can see everything that I need to see both easily and clearly out of every window. The complaints are overblown as hell.
@@JustJoshBruh depends on the person, a gen5 SS still has the HP to get yourself into a LOT of trouble. If my first car was 400+ hp I probably wouldn't be alive today. The cars are great, if you're responsible, I would say go for it!
I love mine. 2021 2SS 1LE. Amazing car. I didn't even know I wanted it. I went to look at a C8, was curious why the wheels and brakes were spec'd like that on a couple of Camaros at the dealership on the show room floor.... I kind of thought it was a bunch of show and thought, no way... then I test drove a 6spd, the electronic rear end blew my mind (still amazes me!), and I was sold. I bought the A10. Amazing car.
I drive my 2017 Camaro SS and honestly i don't even care if it doesn't have all of does features, the drive matters more to me, i love the sound and the power. U can't compare it to other cars because every car is unique, but honestly i love everything about the Camaro SS 2017, it's fast strong and sexy. I think it looks way better the a charger and challenger. I think it give u the sporty look and the muscle feel.
I’ve got a ‘18 SS m6, it’s definitely a fun car. No mods, jus mid/resonator delete. I think it does look better than charger & challenger. I do have a challenger Hellcat & think it has the last of the “muscle car” look. The c8 Vette I think has the best “sporty car” look, camaro 2nd. Only reason I haven’t traded my SS for the c8 is it doesn’t come in a manual 😢
My first affordable dream car was a 93' Fox Body LX Mustang with around 350 whp. That car was everything to me. It was quick and gnarly. The sound was beautiful. And the sleek cocky sleeper look with the 5 bolt/5 spoke 17" cobra alloy wheels. The body was in perfect condition with the british racing green paint ant black limo tinted windows. The frame had been solidified with a square steel frame to prevent body twisting and the interior was as clean as a weasel with a crazy sound system with the woofer secured in the trunk. This Mustang was my dream car until 2017, while as I was working in a GMC/Chevy dealership and I had the chance to rethink and renew my love and have relationship with Camaro's. And it only took me one drive test on a calm and straight highway during a tuesday night to convince me that I had been so wrong about sports cars for so many years. If you can put your hands down a 2017-2018 Camaro 1SS 1LE, just buy it and you'll thank me later !!!
I bought a 2021 2SS 1LE and you are right on so many different things here. Really a ton of great info in this video man. The only thing I have to critique is basically with you comparing it to a GT350. It's not a fair comparison at all. A 1LE should be compared to a PP2 Mustang GT, (when they existed), or now the Mach 1... which Motortrend did a comparison on and the 1LE beat the Mach 1 in every performance related category. While it may not feel "as special" as the GT350 you drove, it really shouldn't.... they aren't the same. My previous car was a 2018 PP1 Mustang GT and the 1LE is superior to it basically in every way. As I said, a ton of great information in here.... I just think you saying this thing doesn't "as special as a GT350" does this car any justice. They aren't comparable. I will say though, the 1LE is absolutely a SPECIAL car and I have no regrets about it. Love the thing so much, the capabilities are amazing for the money and it is absolutely an underrated car.
Not sure I agree with your gt350 "special" view. Before buying my SS 1LE I shopped GT350 and 350r among others, drove a 350 and no way is it as good as SS 1LE. The Alpha chassis is orders of magnitude better than mustang/350 chassis even with the band aids Ford added. Really glad I didn't buy a 350 or 350r. Total nightmare with the hit or miss engine issues. To date, I've yet to have one pass me on track. No thanks, Ford.
Thanks for this comprehensive review! The Magnetic Ride Control is black magic. On the visibility issue, I totally agree with you. Some car reviews are exaggerating it. Hope Chevy will keep producing this great car!
I don't have any visibility issues? I hear people saying that but, I just don't notice it at all. A lot of my buddies have boss 302 mustangs, roush, Saleen, gt350, and some of my friends have the scat pak challengers and chargers. Ive ridden in and driven all of them and I wouldnt trade my 1SS 1LE for any of them. Its a brilliant car and none of my friends can beat my times on track days!
Owned a 1SS 1LE (2018) which is mechanically the exact same as the '21. All I can say is that it is biblically good! Sold it 3 months ago because my wife wouldn't drive a stick (and I wasn't about to teacher her in my baby), and we decided that it wasn't a good idea to have a car that one of us couldn't drive. Been driving a Subaru Forester since. ...anybody want to buy a Subaru? I already put a deposit (shhh...) she doesn't know yet), on a 2021 that should be delivered second week of next month. NOTE! Add 22hp by getting an MBRP axle back muffler delete. Then, when your exhaust shop is removing the tin suitcase, have them cut out an extra 16" north of the axle to remove the "pinch point". Chevy decided they couldn't have the lowly Camaro making more power than the 'Vett, so they engineered a pretty substantial crimp in the exhaust. This is south of the cats, so there will be no issues with warranty or emissions. Just put the MBRP system on, cut out the pinch and you're up to 472 hp. Also it sounds amazing.
I've heard that that part of the exhaust isn't as restrictive as I may think. I've heard it cokes down to the 2 sets of cats that must be removed to remove the restriction
the best 1LE review i've seen so far. Simple.. fair. Above all, i just bought a 2ss 1LE but i haven't received it yet, so it's such an ease off to hear it's a comfortable daily driving car. Thanks for this great review.
@@adrinz4870 unfortunately MANUALS don’t feature that. Perks of having a 1LE.. but to have that actual shifting stick WORTH it !!! though u can have the remote start in a 1LE nowadays.. after 2021 models they made some 1LE’s with autos.
You don't have issues with visibility because you know how to drive. I love when folks are interested in Camaros, but a lot of them aren't drivers so they complain about it. I really hated the 2019 at first, bur now I wonder if it will be collectable in the future as a "one year only" design. Thanks for the video...good stuff
"how did you do it when blind spot monitoring wasn't around" , So true... the endless reliance on modern technology in driving is ridiculous.. No one can park without a backup camera nowadays lol
Yeah I wont know what to do with all this fancy stuff. My back up camera in my truck is sticking my head out the window and looking. I can guarantee I can back in faster and better than anyone with a backup camera. And I don't have bluetooth or any of that stuff but it will be very nice. Rev match downshift will be great for me because this will be my first manual transmission car.
Im fixin to purchase a 2021 1LE. How do you like the steering wheel wrapped in the alcantera. Does it still look good. ive been seeing or hearing that it wears out fast
SS 1LE's are monsters around the bends. even the regular SS can be made to handle as well or better if you've got the cash. $3k for controls arms, bushings, springs, sway bars, another $3k for wheels and tires and you're at 1LE levels or better. But at that point most will just go for a 1LE.
SS 1LE is in many ways just a ZL1 with an SS engine/trans/frontend. SS 1LE gives you both the ZL1 9.9" rearend and eLSD, plus the ZL1 intank fuel pump. They run the same tires, Recaros, etc. There are still some small differences between the ZL1 ans SS 1LE. The front 6 piston Brembos on the SLE use 14.7" rotor and on the ZL1 they are 15.1" rotors, to adjust for the heavier frontend of the ZL1 the setting on the suspension are calibrated a little differently.
@@JROC734 I didn't know that the SS 1LE had a different fuel pump from the regular SS. Three things that can't be retrofitted to the regular SS are the PDR, ELSD, PTM. On a budget, one can get a base 1 SS and replace the springs, sway bars, front bushings, wheels and tires. That'll get you 90% of the way there, especially you're buying used. Used prices on super low mileage cars show a huge gap between a 1SS 1LE and a loaded 2SS. You can pick up a loaded to the gills 2SS with under 20k miles for about $28-32k. 1SS 1LE low mileage go for $37k all day. $9k can buy you full BMR suspension, wheels, tires, and FBO, plus you get ass coolers and warmers, heating steering wheel. Either way you can't lose. These are awesome cars.
@@WHERESSS yeah, it's just the in tank pump that's the same between the SLE and ZL1. The high pressure pump under the intake is the same as it is on any other LT1. (At least as far as I know all LT1 high pressure pumps are the same) IMO the eLSD is an advantage, but only for serious track work. Just as a good handling street car you're likely not going to notice much a difference between the two. If someone did want to source and add a eLSD to a base SS IDK how difficult that would be seeing as it probably needs a computer to manage it. Things aren't as simple to swap between different models as they used to be. Still I think the non-eLSD cars use a torsion diff which is tried and true. Pretty sure your GT350/GT500 cars even still use them. The one in my old 02 SS worked great. Heck if you want to step up to better handling than a SLE there's the ZLE's Multimatic setup that you can get through GM, but it comes with a ride penalty. It's kind of funny how the MRC is praised as being so smooth and comfortable, but the ZL1 1LE's Multimatic setup is criticized as being overly harsh for street driving, yet the Colorado ZR2 uses a Multimatic off road suspension that gets high praise for no only it's O/R performance, but also it compliant ride. IMO the SLE is one of those cars that tend to be a better value when bought as a new car if you're patient and look around. I bought my 19 1SS 1LE new and it was 80 miles from where I live and I paid $39,736 for it in November 2019.
@@JROC734 That's a great deal you got. I bought my fully loaded 2SS with 13k miles last January for $28k. So far I put about $8k into it doing FBO, OEM ZL1 wheels and tires, ZL1 front control arms, and BMR springs. After I do the BMR rear end, I'm done and will probably be $10k into it. Would I have rather gotten a new 1LE instead and kept it stock for the same amount of cash? I'm not too sure.... FBO is awesome on this car, but the 1LE still breaks my neck every time I see one.
Awesome video, I’ve owned my 2018 ss1 1LE for 2 years now. Every winter the car is properly stored and covered. I never knew that the park brake would automatically release in transition. Love your video. I would like to offer you to review my vehicle!
Nice review, having just picked up an SS 1. Interesting to see all the add Ons that make it a 1LE. I've had 5 Mustang Gt's with the P/P and an EcoBoost Mustang with the performance pack. I haven't had any issues with the seating, or all-around field of vision with my Camaro. I think the one car that I've own was a 370Z that on more than one occasion the blind spot on the right rear was truly blind. No matter where the mirror was adjusted too. So far, no issues with my Camaro. I noticed the road gup on the lower panel on your car, and even with the smaller rims on my car. I get the same thing. It must be a trip to go from the 350 Mustang then back to a 1LE. With the RPM rev's you can pull with the 350. I just couldn't get behind the game boy display on the new Mustang. Something in my Opinion was too over the top. No choice in a 2016 type display. This is my first Camaro that I figured I could add-on upgrades as needed, as time goes on. I waited to long for a 1LE that I could have ordered. THANKS for the walk around on your ride.
Great review. High belt can be an issue at drive through atm and fast good. Overall, best bang for your buck. Incredible car. Not sure if you mentioned e lsd.
I had a Yellow 2017 SS 1LE. It was my favorite car I’ve ever owned and mad at myself for selling it. The suspension and brakes are some of the best you’ll ever have. Highly recommend the 1LE, it’s way better than a regular SS
Excellent review, very comprehensive and well filmed. These Gen 6 iterations are great cars that were underrated. We can only hope its legacy in automotive history is preserved and it doesn't return as a 4-door electric crossover.
Unless you live near a track where are you realistically going to go to drive it at near limit even once in a while without being seen by a cop? Oh sure you might loose him before he gets back up involved but cops have a good memory plus they have cameras that can ID your plate. As far as the the guy in this video saying that the window visibility not being bad it’s because he is all of about 5 1/2 feet tall so all of the complaints that people have about this car are mainly it’s just too small for normal sized men and women. Poor visibility, cramped driver seat, Extremely low roofline and the rear seat is even too small for a child car seat or ANYONE with legs. And the foolishness of the trunk with him trying to convince people that it’s useful. It’s like having a shoebox container but having an opening the size of a misshapen slice of bread and you notice that he said NOTHING about putting a spare tire in it. Even this little guy is low key complaining about the seat and the visibility. People that are looking for a long term performance car will pass on this poorly designed car. A two seat corvette has MORE interior space. It’s no wonder that they are dropping this car.
@@frankjohnson6342 I have opportunities to race autocross or do a track day almost every weekend if I want to, and there's a winter autocross season. Also, you're a complete idiot. Lose a police officer? (or "loose" him according to you)... WTF is wrong with you? You think everyone with a sports car is a criminal? And your comments about usability? Lol, you think this is competing with an Accord? There's just so much wrong with your comment it's amazing.
Absolutely a fine driving machine. I have a 5th gen. Style, downforce and handling superb. Save money and buy the 1LT with the V8 instead of the SS. Save 3000 dollars. If you win the lottery then get the 1LE. The trunk is limited. My golf clubs just fit.
I have not smiled a couple time caught in real bad stop and go trafic in my '17 ss 1le... yet the engine rumble always comforted me. alcantera steering still holding fine, but i think it kinda feel slippy on dry hand skin, but I ain't hardcore enough for driving gloves. Car still stored away for winter here... can't wait for snow to be done melting away around here...
Agree with the visibility thing. People say it has poor visibility because the windows are short, but the thing about visibility is that you don't need to see the sky when driving around. Unless you're looking for planes or bird watching. In that case get a sunroof. The 360 degree visibility in this car is normal.
GTFOH. The 360 degree visibility is not normal. If you look over your right shoulder you can't see a thing. Visibility over the left shoulder is poor. Visibility out the back is weak. And the slit for a windshield makes it hard to see stop lights, etc.
@ttown918 you're right that he visibility is less than most vehicles, but the smaller viewing area has never blocked me from seeing traffic or allowed me to merge into someone. It's just as functional as any other vehicle I've had.
This is the exact same car I bought. Brand new 2022 ss 1le 6 speed and I kid you not best decision I ever made ditching the widebody scat I ordered. Was not worth the 56k price tag.
Excellent video, you covered every topic very well! You've got a new sub from me. I think this is going to be my next car. I've had my current STi for 12-13 years and it's time for an upgrade. I was torn between this, a new Mustang GT or a C6 Grand Sport/Z06 but I much prefer the better interiors of modern cars. Camaro is taking the edge over all of them..
The Visibility is not bad as people say, if they are taller than 5' 8" then Visibility will be an issue. I have no problems with Visibility and I drive my car all the time. I have a 2021 Camaro ZL1 with the 1LE package and the 1LE Rear Wing.
Just test drove a 1ss today and loved it. So I'm sure I'd really love the 1le. Waiting to find a 2018 hyper blue 2ss 1le or just wrap one in that color
I just bought a 18' 2SS 1LE this weekend. WOW. ALOT of fun to drive. I wanted a Hyper Blue one too, bought a black one with 6k on it. Never thought about wrapping it 🤔
Have a 2022 Rapid Blue and I love it. Have had a Hellcat, Scatpack and RT Mopars and this drives so much better especially if you have Magnetic ride. It's hard to feel difference unless you drive non magnetic ride. Before this I had a 6 cylinder RS, non magnetic ride. I daily drove that as well as the 1LE and can't definitely feel suspension difference.
Very thorough review. As a point of fact, the hood is wrapped---not painted---in satin black. If you remove the wrap, you will find the same color as the rest of the vehicle.
@@Tusuperbis ok, so I could put the same wrap back on, or would I need to purchase a new wrap? I’m guessing purchase a new wrap if I wanted to put a wrap on
No track time in your gt350? If you run both cars on a road course you'd understand why the SS 1lE is special. At speed one chassis has trouble keeping up and the other is just planted and inspires confidence. I've been on track with both gt350 and 350r... same is true of both of these. Almost forgot... one car comes with a track warranty and the other has warranty issues.
I know this is a old video ,but i just got an allocation and my order went in yesterday on a 2023 2SS 1LE Shadow grey ,red seatbelts &M6 Im hoping i can have it in 6-9 months
UPDATE,I never got my 2023 2SS 1LE ,The dealer lied about having an allocation, But I did however order 5 2024 2SS 1LE's wen 2024 ordering opened and here's pickup day 2 days after Thanksgiving ruclips.net/video/u-8glHpZB34/видео.htmlsi=mLmKoxA0LsL71iE7
I could have got a Camaro, but got the Mustang instead. The visibility and interior feeling were the main reasons. Either option is great. I just went with what works better for me as a daily driver.
I rented a 19 Camaro SS Hendrix hertz edition (black with yellow stripes) and, while tighter than my 19 Mustang, I had no problems with visibility. My wife, on the other hand, much prefers being a passenger in the Mustang than the Camaro. She does think that the Camaro is claustrophobic.
6:13 dude... your talking about the 2019.. that was the only variant that had the black front fascia. Earlier you said “nobody” liked that redesign. People slept on it, over time many have learned to like it. The side profile looks was sicker than 2020-2021.
My Twin car (: I have a 2022 SS 1LE 6MT (Just ordered an AWE Track Axle Back exhaust SOO HYPE) BUT.... I had an order for a charger widebody scat pack that was 56k and got my 1SS 1LE for 46k. I will say, I am 10000 percent glad I went with the camaro. I fell in love with it, even only 1SS vs 2SS I still feel so much more bang for buck. The recaro seats / heads up display / magnetic ride / E-diff / 6 speed.... Better performance you name it all around it was better. The interior of the charger looked like a 2012 dodge ram the more I looked at it. The absolute only reason I would go back and change my mind is having the 4 doors as I now have a daughter otherwise CAMARO FTW
I got the 2SS with magnetic ride, instead of the 1LE package. I know I won’t track often and want the comfortable daily ride. I love the ricaro seats but when I sat in one before I purchased it. It was aggressive and don’t think I could drive long rides just my opinion. But the 1LE package is great just make sure to get into one before buying one so you are happy with your results👍
I am 5'8" and have no issues with seeing or parking at all. In the 5th gen there was an issue with the passenger A-pillar visibility. I had more issues with visibility in the S550 Mustang due to the spot mirror.
I am 5.11 and used to seat high. This really improves visibility to a needed level to feel the car if you just seat in there for a first time in your life. Camaro lacks a few inches to be honest. I am scratching the roof with my head with such a seating. But its nothing comparing the fun it gives. I would never sit back in my friends mustang to be honest.
Feels the same speed as my Shelby.... only real difference is my Shelby needs oil every gas up and I am on my 3rd engine........... That's the specialness I love about the Shelby.....
@@DriveSteady awesome.. great video man and thanks for replying. In considering a new ss and I'm new to muscle cars.. I feel like they provide a good value for the dollar. I like the interior more than the mustang and I started going down the rabbit hole because of the zl1..haha would you recommend this car out of the three and how was the ride quality with the mag ride ?
Its a great car. I haven't driven the Mustang gt or the challenger but the camaro is a great car. The mag ride is like magic. Its rides as good if not better than a shelby gt350
Does it come with a sunroof? I tried to build one with this package but everytime I try to put a sunroof on it. It's either not available or when you add it. It take away the package trim 😔
Really good review. I personally like your comparison with the Shelby GT350 because that's the car I am also comparing the SS 1LE to. The Shelby is way better in creating a huge hype and getting you going whenever its engine button is pushed. But the 1LE's deep rumble gets your whole soul in a different yet no lesser persuasive way. I am amazed by its performance - having almost 80 HP less than the GT350 it still is faster. And the feel to it isn't worse either. There's probably no better bang for the buck than this 6,2 L monster with its huge torque from deep down below till way up high. And over here in Germany a Camaro is a true rarity compared to a Mustang; there are probably even more Shelbys out here than 1LE's.
I personally have a GT350 and I can tell you that the 1LE is almost as good as it is. For me, I like my gt350 because of the sound and look, but those things are subjective and I could easily see someone pick a 1le over a gt350.
@@DriveSteady - I've got to admit I'm still enticed by the FPC's sound and waver back and forth in my decision which one I'd take when time's up. I like both and tend to give it to the Camaro for now. But in the end, I think it'll all boil down to belly and feel of driving them.
@@nicholasrogers8173 - Well, pretty simple... Concencing the price tag, you're absolutely right; it would even be more than just a bargain. But if you're searching for a big V8 with a manual and RWD that's naturally aspirated, the ZL1 isn't on the list anymore.
I own a 2018 SS 1LE. Bought it new. I have never really had an issue with visibility. I do have the 2SS which has the blind spot monitoring but overall it’s fine if you’re cautious when changing lanes. This car gets such shit for this but Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Corvettes are no better but auto journalists don’t complain because then they’d loose the opportunity to drive/Test another.
I love my PP2 mustang, but if I were to trade it in, this car is top of a very restrictive list... or a gt350, both above the M2 competition... all very nice cars.
I really appreciate the work, detail, & honesty you put into this review bro! You’ve got a new sub 😎 Also, idk whether to go with the 1LE or a Mustang GT 🤔

@@danieldickerson4838 would you recommend a 5th gen as a good first car?
@@JustJoshBruh depends on the person, a gen5 SS still has the HP to get yourself into a LOT of trouble. If my first car was 400+ hp I probably wouldn't be alive today. The cars are great, if you're responsible, I would say go for it!

Nice Quality video!! The SS1le is the perfect blend of muscle and sports car.
The 1LE wheels are elite 👌
Facts
I love mine. 2021 2SS 1LE. Amazing car. I didn't even know I wanted it. I went to look at a C8, was curious why the wheels and brakes were spec'd like that on a couple of Camaros at the dealership on the show room floor.... I kind of thought it was a bunch of show and thought, no way... then I test drove a 6spd, the electronic rear end blew my mind (still amazes me!), and I was sold. I bought the A10. Amazing car.
I went to buy a ZL1. Pre-approval and cash in hand decided to take the 18' 2SS 1LE for a ride first. I was awestruck. I bought it!
Love the thing so much, the capabilities are amazing for the money and it is absolutely an underrated car.
how much did you pay? I am looking to order a 2022 2ss 1le soon
GT350 is a totally different car. Fanboy
Thanks for this comprehensive review!
The Magnetic Ride Control is black magic. On the visibility issue, I totally agree with you. Some car reviews are exaggerating it. Hope Chevy will keep producing this great car!
Thanks for watching! Glad you're liking your 1LE, its an awesome car!
Gary, I have a 18 1le and been thinking about an mbrp. How much louder is it compared to the stock npp?
I've heard that that part of the exhaust isn't as restrictive as I may think. I've heard it cokes down to the 2 sets of cats that must be removed to remove the restriction
Thats not how hp works, lmao.
An axle back does not add 22 HP lololol
the best 1LE review i've seen so far. Simple.. fair. Above all, i just bought a 2ss 1LE but i haven't received it yet, so it's such an ease off to hear it's a comfortable daily driving car. Thanks for this great review.
Congrats on your 1LE purchase!
Congrats. Love my 1LE!
Did yours come with remote start?
@@adrinz4870 unfortunately MANUALS don’t feature that. Perks of having a 1LE.. but to have that actual shifting stick WORTH it !!! though u can have the remote start in a 1LE nowadays.. after 2021 models they made some 1LE’s with autos.
@@adrinz4870 no because it’s a stick.
Bingo
Yeah I wont know what to do with all this fancy stuff. My back up camera in my truck is sticking my head out the window and looking. I can guarantee I can back in faster and better than anyone with a backup camera. And I don't have bluetooth or any of that stuff but it will be very nice. Rev match downshift will be great for me because this will be my first manual transmission car.
I know I love my 18 hyper blue 1le, people say things get old, I haven't one time not smiled when I drive it.
Im fixin to purchase a 2021 1LE. How do you like the steering wheel wrapped in the alcantera. Does it still look good. ive been seeing or hearing that it wears out fast
@@kevinking7167 mine still looks pretty good yes it is wearing tho.
I love my 2018 2SS 1LE Hyper blue as well. I have FBO’s and H/C. It’s a beast of a car!
I have the same car and color, totally agree.
Yup the 1LE is definitely worth the price
(At least as far as I know all LT1 high pressure pumps are the same)
IMO the eLSD is an advantage, but only for serious track work.
Great video and nice detailed description of the SS 1LE. My 1LE is all black, but that contrast with the white and satin black looks really good.

Awesome video, I’ve owned my 2018 ss1 1LE for 2 years now. Every winter the car is properly stored and covered. I never knew that the park brake would automatically release in transition. Love your video. I would like to offer you to review my vehicle!
Refresh was in 2019. 2016-2018 looked the same.
Enjoyed the review. You are spot on with your review. I own a 2020. Best all around performance car for the money, hands down. Cheers, B
Hard to argue against it...
I agree it's pretty ordinary around town, but it really transforms into something else near the limit! Nice review. I have an '18, been a great car.

Very comprehensive review. I enjoyed it!
Hood extractor is heat out only. RESPECT you got the 6-speed manual!
Zl1 one of my favorites. Drove the 1le. Handles and goes like nothing

I daily drove that as well as the 1LE and can't definitely feel suspension difference.

Great job with this video
I rented a 19 Camaro SS Hendrix hertz edition (black with yellow stripes) and, while tighter than my 19 Mustang, I had no problems with visibility. My wife, on the other hand, much prefers being a passenger in the Mustang than the Camaro. She does think that the Camaro is claustrophobic.
The Camaro is like your in a fighter jet lol

6:13 dude... your talking about the 2019.. that was the only variant that had the black front fascia. Earlier you said “nobody” liked that redesign. People slept on it, over time many have learned to like it. The side profile looks was sicker than 2020-2021.

Underrated? It’s pretty much the best sports car for the money in US. 40 grand car putting down better lap times than twice its price.
what size tires are you running? 305 on the rear and 285 on the front?
The Gen 6 Camaro with the Alpha platform and the LT1 engine is essentially a sports car with a muscle car engine.
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't like the black hood on it, but I love the car.
I would never sit back in my friends mustang to be honest.
i actually do like the bonnet on the divider in my 2019 ss. i think it gives it a meaner look and cleaner overall

Yup, good luck. Both are great cars
Perhaps I am wrong here, but if you are in the market for a gt350 why not consider the big-boy ZL1. The gt350 is around 60k right?
It's an awesome car. I had no issues with visibility
I love my PP2 mustang, but if I were to trade it in, this car is top of a very restrictive list... or a gt350, both above the M2 competition... all very nice cars.
Apparently the maintainance costs/ repairs on these are more expensive than one might think. Can anyone confirm if this is true ?
I really appreciate the work, detail, & honesty you put into this review bro! You’ve got a new sub 😎
Also, idk whether to go with the 1LE or a Mustang GT 🤔
Trust me go for the Camaro! much better design! performance and especially the handles!
@@destinationfer2 that's what I'm seeing man plus I feel you get a lot more bang for your buck with the Camaro like comparing the 1LE performance pack vs the GT performance pack - the Camaro is a lot better it seems like. I'm gonna go for it bro! I think I'm going to get it in the shadow metallic color! :D Thanks for your comment bro!
@@andrewramirez3107 You won't regret it! be aware tho it's going to be a summer car only tho.. it's low, i live in anchorage AK so it would have to be a season car. I keep hearing people going for that color.. so odd to me lol i'm going for white, it just looks so fresh in white to me lol specially in the summer just put on a fresh white tee and some fitted jeans and i can only imagine 2022 summer lol
Track the 1LE and it is a beast on the track.
No lumbar adjust?? Avail in the 2SS?
Is the 1le at any online car store cause when i look for it only the ss pops up and the trim doesn't say 1le
Hi, is there any difference between ss 1Le auto x manual? Does it have the same hp? Etc?
Same horsepower and torque!
@@DriveSteady are both good in handling? Which more is fun to drive?
I haven't driven the 10 speed automatic, but I would say the 6 speed manual is always more fun to drive.
@@gmtrumanandrade6145 It’s always funner to row your own gears
It's definitely not an underrated car but good video 👍🏽and for those that review the visibility of this car you need to sit in one for yourself and not listen to someone else I was on the halt of buying one because it's always been my favorite car since I was a kid it's just like seeing out any other car in my opinion I see just fine out of it I used to drive cars I've been in mustangs too their rear window is actually worse
