I am pushing 70. At this point, my goal is to just savor every moment and time spent with dear friends and family. Life can and does turn on a dime, especially as we age. Also, overlooking the trivial things that take so much time and energy away from what matters is at the top of my list, as well as to NOT become a cranky, bitter old lady that no one wants to be around!

Welcome to the sisterhood of sixties! I’m 61 - embrace your age. I started losing weight and working out last year when I turned 60 - I’m 61 now. To all - be wise and do be grateful and amen! What blessing we have - we have the Gospel! I don’t want to be that cranky old women who yells at kids get off my lawn. I find that with age has come wisdom and I can help and guide younger women - meaning younger than me. Yesterday is history, and tomorrow is a mystery so embrace today and being whatever age you are ☺️✝️. Happy Birthday Jennifer! So you have a November birthday too. Today I just turned the big 70. The older you get, the faster time flies! I do think age and experience gives you a different perspective on life and circumstances. You have experienced your own shortcomings so you tend to be more understanding and forgiving. You realize you don’t have all the answers and circumstances are sometimes beyond your control. My dear Mom passed away last December. Nov. 1 I was in an auto accident and am recovering from a broken sternum. You realize the fragility and brevity of life. We are so grateful for our four children! Julie flew out from Colorado to use her nursing skills to assess how I was recovering. Our other daughter brought over Thanksgiving dinner. Our son lives next door and we can count on him for an emergency. So blessed!

This year I turned 70 and it definitely has been the most difficult for me. Even though I enjoy my life and thank God every day for all the blessings I have been given, I lost my husband of 51 years in April due to cancer. He suffered with pancreatic cancer and I was his caregiver and, times were difficult but I would give anything to have him back again. But not suffering, like he was. We loved to travel and wanted to go to many destinations here in the US and beyond. But it was not to be. I stay active, and I'm going to start to travel again. I hope that you enjoy your 60's and your and your husband's retirement. Keep the good attitude and enjoy what God gives you. God bless you!
I went through a crisis when I turned 40. I have been on a mission for the last 11 years to be as loving and compassionate as possible, to listen more and talk less, and to look at each situation from different perspectives. I am so much more grateful and humbled! I am not pressuring myself to achieve my goals within a timeframe, as that may sometimes feel defeating. I would rather celebrate the victories whenever they are achieved!

Even though I see them once or twice a week then sometimes two weeks pass and haven’t seen them because I’m busy running around. Turning 60 was hard for me, I’ll be 61 on dec 2. I have a 19 yr old and time has been going by so fast. But my husband and I are both retired. For the past 20 months, I’ve gotten back to sewing, which I love. With all my mask and prayers Quilts I’ve sold / donated. Now I’m able to buy Acme gift cards to give out during the week of Christmas. This is our 3rd year and will be our biggest year. Love giving back. Can’t wait. Once this pandemic is over, I want to get back to crafting full time. Great video.
My 60th Birthday is June 4th. My most enjoyable times are spent with children, so I question my view of myself as a 60-year-old criss-cross-applesauce woman. After watching your precious video, I came up with a fun idea. I am going to aim to write one fun thing I did on that day. I wrote one for two days ago and for today just to get the list started. This past Friday, my husband, our 6-year-old granddaughter and I went fishing at our pond. Today I joined my daughter and her children to watch my 10-year-old grandson play baseball. We had fabulous weather. Tomorrow my husband and I have church with another daughter and her two daughters. It always feels like an awesome blessing that we can be embraced by God as a family.

I hope I don’t become a grumpy old woman I am housebound without my husband driving me to doctors. I’m in a wheelchair with MS diagnosed 6 years December 22nd . I dread turning 60, but I don't really like the alternative. I guess turning 60 is concerning to me, as my mom passed away at age 66. I do thank our Lord for every day and all his blessings that he has bestowed on me and my family. My rescue animals keep me young, as do the students that I work with. Happy birthday to you 🎂.

I am turning 59 this month and turning 60 scares me. Unbelievable where time has disappeared. I am blessed bc there are many who dont see the older years. Seems like yesterday I was in school. And yes I also didnt appreciate my past years. I so wish I had. The days are long but the years so short when raising our children.
I will be 60 in Jan. My thoughts are the same as everyone else. We want to be an example for our children and others to emulate. Hopefully I can continue to be blessed with fair health. The only medication I take is a blood pressure pill daily. Will continue to walk and try to keep my appearance and personality in check. By the time we turn 80 Jennifer, we will only type slower but with grace lol.

I will be 60 in Mar. Can't wait. My youngest will graduate hs when I am 61. So I still have 2 in hs and 4 living at home. I work 50 hrs a week. Plan to be done working Dec 2023. Can't wait to not work outside the home so I can devote time to my home and family My sister passed away at 61.just a few months ago. The older I get the luckier I am. Many peers I went to to hs with have passed..

My dad passed away at 60 so it was very hard turning 60. Now I'm 65 and I say how did I get to be 65?? Enjoying our grandkids!

I have been inactive for years, but I have a daughter who served her mission, got married in a temple in Utah, and goes to BYU with her return missionary husband. I just want to hug you! You really made me think about my parents and how much more time I want to make with them. Life tends to pull you so deep and we forget about the most important things in our lives and that our loving parents. Even though I see them once or twice a week then sometimes two weeks pass and haven’t seen them because I’m busy running around. Turning 60 was hard for me, I’ll be 61 on dec 2. I have a 19 yr old and time has been going by so fast. But my husband and I are both retired. For the past 20 months, I’ve gotten back to sewing, which I love. With all my mask and prayers Quilts I’ve sold / donated. Now I’m able to buy Acme gift cards to give out during the week of Christmas. This is our 3rd year and will be our biggest year. Love giving back. Can’t wait. Once this pandemic is over, I want to get back to crafting full time. Great video.
My 60th Birthday is June 4th. My most enjoyable times are spent with children, so I question my view of myself as a 60-year-old criss-cross-applesauce woman. After watching your precious video, I came up with a fun idea. I am going to aim to write one fun thing I did on that day. I wrote one for two days ago and for today just to get the list started. This past Friday, my husband, our 6-year-old granddaughter and I went fishing at our pond. Today I joined my daughter and her children to watch my 10-year-old grandson play baseball. We had fabulous weather. Tomorrow my husband and I have church with another daughter and her two daughters. It always feels like an awesome blessing that we can be embraced by God as a family.

I hope I don’t become a grumpy old woman I am housebound without my husband driving me to doctors. I’m in a wheelchair with MS diagnosed 6 years December 22nd . I dread turning 60, but I don't really like the alternative. I guess turning 60 is concerning to me, as my mom passed away at age 66. I do thank our Lord for every day and all his blessings that he has bestowed on me and my family. My rescue animals keep me young, as do the students that I work with. Happy birthday to you 🎂.

Hi Jennifer...I turned 54 on 10/16 and I'm not even close to doing all the things that I want to do....but if one would have "walked in my shoes", they would suggest I write a bio....God has really been the Center of my life even though I felt undeserving....We all fall short but have to keep the Faith....It's really all about Our Father in Heaven to which we give all the Praises and Glory.

We love hearing things from your perspective Jennifer, you can't be old and wise if you weren't young and crazy. So I assume you were one crazy gal growing up. Give me a lot to think about with my own life and how I want to be as a mother and how I want to be as a child of God. I will be 60 in Mar. Can't wait. My youngest will graduate hs when I am 61. So I still have 2 in hs and 4 living at home. I work 50 hrs a week. Plan to be done working Dec 2023. Can't wait to not work outside the home so I can devote time to my home and family My sister passed away at 61.just a few months ago. The older I get the luckier I am. Many peers I went to to hs with have passed..
