      No. There are no specific poses to increase blood flow. Please check with your doctor about it.

    I have really severe periods, but this was awesome to do after the worst days, when I could finally get out of bed and move around! It was so nice to stretch after being bed-ridden for two days. Thank you :)

    Thank you so much for this practice! I usually do your 8 minute video for menstrual cramps but this one was really nice since I didn't have severe cramps. I loved the breathing exercise at the end as well. 🙏🏾🕉❤️

    I LOVED THIS PRACTICE. I finally completed the entire video today. I adde warrior lunges to tone my legs up. loved the stretches at the end and the nostril breathing and the REASONS WHY . I did feel the beginning salutations were too fast for me. I had to pause and rewind to hear what you said and keep up.
    Altogether like your video and energy. Namaste

    This was soooooo helpful...
    I was on my periods and couldn't move out of my bed due to stiffness was not feeling good
    Then I tried this & ended up being Happy and pain-free..

    Thank you for the lesson, however, I have a question. I was taught that no positions where your head is lower than bottom should be practiced during period, you've also mentioned how we should avoid inversions, and nevertheless, you practice downward dog and uttanasana in this video. Is there a reason for this?

      Hum toh Tamil Nadu se hain toh hum Tamil mein bolenge toh aap ok Samajh mein aayega? Aur aapne English alphabets Kyon istamal kiya hai? Hindi mein bolna hai toh Hindi mein type Karen! Don’t let language limit your knowledge and understanding of anything. I could teach in Spanish if I wanted to and still be as Indian as I am!

    But we don't do inversions likes downward dogs during periods forget Sury Namaskar. All the yoga texts mentions this.

    I do yoga practice daily but I don’t do anything during periods , only very low intensity and gentle pranayam I do . But in this session she is even doing surya namaskar which I would avoid but initial stretching I loved , so you can decide as per your body type , my body don’t like high intensity during that time.

      No there is nothing of that sort. The breathing exercises to avoid during periods are ones that put excess pressure on the abdomen area like kapalabhati. There’s nothing wrong with practising anulom vilom during periods.

    Many people say one should not do Surya Namaskar during periods. I stopped it since then. Now I come across this video. Please shade some light on this.

      You can practice surya Namaskar if you feel ok to do it. If you have any cramping or are uncomfortable then it’s best to rest . Bottom line is to each his/her own. And every body is different so same rules don’t always apply to everyone.

    I did it during my periods.. I felt calmness in my mind and back. I have a request can you please remove the ad from in between.. it's doesn't feels very pleasant when you are doing yoga and an ad pops in between 🙁

      What exactly is a syst? There is no medical term called syst. Do you mean cyst?

      You will have to check with a doctor about the cyst. Usually more activity will make it worse. So check with a doctor.

      Exhale up and inhale down. Different schools do it differently.
