@@Thercgeek Im new at the RC thing but took your advice on the P-47 Little Bunny (flies awesome by the way all on SAFE mode though I didn't know you could buy these planes like this as I thought it was all by scratch.
YUM!! So Awesome, the fold would be of real life RC handling ease too , Ive snapped umpteen Spars transporting an storing, worse Mofos than Fishing Rods. Unreal FREEK, always a great show Matey!
Since I was in the Marine Corps and even before then I can truly appreciate the F-4u aircraft. As well as my hero Pappy Boyington. Your aircraft is really cool looking and flies great. But, just one question have you thought about putting Pappy Boyington's name right below the pilot? Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I can’t take credit for this model, just the filming of it. Boyington’s name and kill markings were actually on a Corsair labeled “Lulubelle” which is different than this one. 😊.
Sure hope there is some sort of micro switch that prohibits the wings from folding while the airplane is in flight otherwise a flip of a switch would ruin your day
@@Thercgeek I'm an attorney by day (during the week) and an A&P (airplane mechanic) on the weekends. Most airplanes like the airliners and Corporate plane have what is called a "Squat Switch" mounted on the landing gear, when the weight of the aircraft compresses the main landing gear the little switch would be pressed so the reversers and only systems would work on the ground only NOT in the air or it could cause for a very bad day
@@Thercgeek one could build a slightyl smaller versoin with a less expensive engine (like a saito 90 radial) for far less and still have a kick ass radial warbird.
Oh for sure! The carf is the absolute top of the market for something like this. I see I misread the question a bit looking at it again. A plans built Corsair with a saito radial could be done for about $4k I think. And with something like that, you can buy stuff as you need it so the cost gets spaced out over time.
@@Thercgeek dont think you misread his question just didnt want to discourage him with that price point. Even if someone wanted a 250cc class radial monster they could look at ums engines and pay 1/3rd the price of a moki and have a big bird. Great channel by the way and thanks for participating in the comments👍👍
Looks good in flight-it’s a Corsair; how could it not? Sounds good too. But those colors are just wrong. How much harder would it have been to get them right?
Honestly, a lot of folks just don’t know regarding the colors. I’ve seen plenty of full scale restorations that were the wrong colors too. Still a pretty model though!
No flaps??? Way, way, way too fast landing speed and much too steep approach. Sorry; the plane is absolutely gorgeous but you can tell most RC pilots are not real pilots (no offense meant by that comment, honest!). The landing approach on that beautiful bird should be set up; slow airspeed, set flaps, gear down, approach (Vx) angle should be power-on and at a glide rate; not shear drop! Bring that plane in nice and smooth and see the magic of large scale! Keep'r in one piece and look forward to seeing more vid's of Bayou Baby. :)
Exactly!! Just likr with rich guys who buy super cars thinking they’re a f1 pilot.. money don’t get you skill. My guess is he doesn’t want to risk going too slow and stalling the plane
What is up with these guys that spend a ton of $$$$ on a plane and they can never land it nice?!! Blows my mind!! He didn’t even try to slow it down and then just slams it on the runway!🙄🤦♂️
Welll if your to slow the ton of money they spend is out the door in an instant heavy large scale warbirds if you get to slow do nasty tip stalls and I'd rather be on the side of cation.
That on board starter was pretty cool, first one I've seen in action.
Big Beautiful Blue Corsair...
Cool as can be
I have a top flite fw-190 giant scale sitting in its box in my attic yet to be touched, had it for 5 -6 years.
Oh, nice! Time to pull it down from the attic and get it together. 😁
Very nice!! I'm so jealous
Me too! The carf Corsair with a moki is one of my unicorn models.

Now that is about my all time favorite. I'd like to see the all blue with arrows like The Black Sheep. But bad ass to the f ing bone man.
Awesome
Thanks for sharing Chris. Merry Christmas 🎄
She sounded and looked orsum. I do have the foam folding wing version, but I have to take my hat of with this one 👍🏻
WOW!!!
Chris. Oh how sweet the sound….. 👍👍. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thanks for sharing the hobby with us. 👊😉

I like the way the airspeed was up on the landing. Realistic to the real one. They will fall out of the sky when too slow.
Beautiful bird...
Beauty Geek 👍

That’s a good point. I’m not sure how that’s setup. I’d expect there’s some redundancy there, but not sure what that may be.

Hey man, what kind of loot are we talking to build a replica? I'd like to do for retirement project.
This is about a $15k model as a guess with everything in it.

Beautiful plane great flying, but a bit too fast on your Landing.
Guess that was a "carrier landing" lol Just drop it straight on the deck.
Well you can build a beautiful plane or you can fly one really well but hardly together.
Haha

A bit hot, yes, but any landing you can walk away from is a good landing in my book 😉😋
check the take off, it is a heavy bird ,)
