For a tail dragger, the grass actually makes the ground handling a little easier. They can be more prone to ground looping on asphalt depending on the model.
A B17 G had a cruise speed of 182 miles per hour. At 1/9 scale (which is the smaller of the two kits available from this manufacturer and I believe is shown here), to be scale accurate the model would have a cruise speed of TWENTY MILES PER HOUR! 20, yes 20, miles per hour. Hopefully that'll be the stupidest comment you make this year. Hilarious. Freaking hilarious. Go be negative somewhere else. Plane looks, sounds, and flys fantastic.
@@shelbyseelbach9568That model must be moving faster than 20, then. The weathering is over done for that scale, also. Actually, most model planes move faster than scale anyway. You can get them to fly scale sometimes, but it’s just the nature of the beast since we’re talking about non 1/1 here. That’s the trade off.
Love that it uses glow saitos
That's a lot of nitro, I can actually smell it. Two Liberators too. Great video.
The RC Geek has mutated into my favorite site, especially since I can enjoy the videos on my 4K 65 "TV directly from my PC in the living room.
I’m so glad to know you’re enjoying the content! Full hd at 65” sounds amazing!
Yes, even with 1080 videos with the upscaling to 4K and the spatial sound from the screen, patented (it's a SONY KD-65AG9)
That weathering and battle damage is excellent. It would look great with some 190’s and mustangs mixing it up around it for cinema.
Right?!
Right on Geek man 👍 Another great model
Outstanding, Thank you Chris!
Gorgeous bird
Really an awesome plane. Super realistic! Such perfect weathering and battle damage. Nice job! Great aircraft, thanks for sharing this one Chris!
Awsome👍
Beautiful patina 👍 Love those old war birds
beautiful plane Great intro
Thanks!
Awesome Geek !!! I think this is the same size and model I’m having a ARF built for me. Love a big B-17👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
Oh, sweet! Which arf is it?
If there's a beautiful asphalt runway, why use the grass?

@@Thercgeek Got it.
Was it just me or did it look like the b17 was joined by a b25 and b24?
You saw correctly. There was I think two B-24s in the air with him.
Moves way to fast for scale
