Wow! Seeing behind the scenes was amazing and I was super impressed with how much stuff was actually done on-site. It probably should have gone without saying, but I didn't realize how complex an operation it was to manufacture RC planes. Great work!
Nice to see how much care is taken with their models, and of the facilities, along with good working conditions for employees. they have some very nice scale models! I want my house to look like their factory!
My 4br house has every room filled with airplanes, parts, a work shop and a museum where I keep my RC stuff from the 1980's. (My poor future husband 🤣🤣🤣)
😂😂😂😂... Just think...You pay them exorbitant and jacked up prices for Hangar 9 planes....And they are made by Seagull Models....What a enlightening and a rip off at the same time...😂😂😂...
Very impressive organization and it appears to be a chill place to work. Thanks for sharing and congrats towards making the cover of Model Aviation Magazine!
Stellar video Fitz! Awesome showing us where are flying models come from. Makes me appreciate and grateful all the hard work that goes into having a plane land at my front door! Very impressed with Seagull’s factory operation!
Congrats! That’s awesome to have such an amazing opportunity to visit and fly with a company that’s producing such good models and to be able to offer feedback and suggestions from a modeler that sees what we do on the end user/buyer/flyer is even better!!!
flying in Asia is not like in the USA.... Asia is a bit under controlled compared to the USA, USA is overcontrolled ( you have to right in the manual that you can not dry your cat in a microwave ) , I have been flying in Taiwan in some places, I was getting very uncomfortable just because they were flying on places just everybody could pop up on your landing lane or just to close to traffic. the place in the movie i would not have any worries i have seen much worse.
Hey man that was awesome! Hats off to you for going deep into the local scene and no better way than at a flying club. I am sure they really enjoyed having you there and showing off their stuff proudly. I have been traveling the world professionally for a while and tapping into the rc flying scene as well. By the way you flew great! I would have been way too nervous to put my hands on the sticks of those RC gassers. Well done!
You can get anything made in Saigon! I loved the super entrepreneurial spirit there. I miss living there and constantly am thinking about what business I can do to get me back there.
WOW Fitz!!! So cool man, Thanks for the awesome vid!! Compaired to some of Seagulls models, that new Giant Corsairs lines looked really good. Looks to be getting better and better!!
I really like Seagull Models. They have unique scale subjects and still use good quality covering instead of that awful vinyl that many others are using.
I’ve been a long time fan of this channel and this is some of the best content ever. It would be so cool to start a model plane business build planes all day
Excellent upload! Total respect to these artisans. My Singaporean father in law gave me a Seagull F4U as a present while we were visiting, it was super as was the Skywalker I purchased a year before. So glad that these beautifully built models are still made in Vietnam, more reason to buy another one!! And what a lovely end to the tour, going to a club for some flying, eating lunch together and then some more flying! Perfect 🇻🇳
Very nice and very cool you got to fly the prototype Corsair, wow that factory was amazing don’t see how they kept everything so organized when I do a build I get pretty crazy in my shop lol we’ll keep the videos coming enjoy them very much happy landings 👍
Brilliant video and really well made and well presented. You flew the planes really well too. I have a few Seagull models in my Hangar and they are all good flying planes that I enjoy taking to the club field. Thanks for sharing this, it was very enjoyable to watch.
How cool is that! It’s like a how it’s made video but for our hobby, thanks Fitz! And even in another country, people still want you to fly their planes! Thanks for the video!
Nice video man 😉 But i must tells something about this seagull models manufacturer...I had cca.4 his models and all flies like a sh**t ...last plane- 30cc Cessna AG i crashed at maiden! And dont worry..I am not begginer anymore..i fly many different models..at the moment, for me is best ,cheap and favorite, VQ models , Vietnam manufacturer too ..I had & still have a few in my hangar and all flies like a dream 👌✌️🙂 Salut from EU 🫡
I really enjoyed that. Some of my first ARF’s were Seagulls and they always seemed like good value. Unfortunately in Canada we do not have very good access to Seagull or Phoenix models these days.
Very awesome video seeing this. I own several Hangar 9 airplanes, so it's nice to see where the planes are built. Seagull has always done excellent work and wish Horizon would carry more of their products.
I don't buy them no more, in Australia the cost is to much, the government made this happen so by no more. Even making them in Australia $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ government tax. CASA making it hard just to fly my little planes. So it's not worth the hassle.
Seagull factory with tons of Hangar 9 boxes. 🤔 I wonder just how many factory’s there really are. I’m sure it’s one factory and each brand name has their spec that the factory builds to.
The hobby industry is very incestuous. Manufacturers make products for other vendors all the time, models are re-covered and re-branded for other manufacturers. A perfect example is the recent hobbyking F4U and F8F releases, they were tower hobbies models that were discontinued a few years ago. The covering always amazes me that they print the design onto a single layer of film then it’s cut with perfect overlaps.
Saigon? Be careful, they may throw you in the Hanoi Hilton! Seriously, who would have thought we would fly models from Vietnam of all places, here in the US! They are a much more modern country than I realized!
Now i' understand why the Hangar 9 p 51 his no longer available Americans manufacturer has sold they soul to the profits regardless to the quality as every company did.
Iv had Seagull models for years and why some a good somenare not. My biggest problem with Seagull models was they attitude. I had a major problem with the 30cc spitfire, sent them a polite email asking for help. And the reply I got back was sorry we won't help you and we recommend I buy another. The kit was brand new and this was a fault with their retracts. I sent many and one person offered to help but in the end they said "get lost" (no joke) I still have their emails. I said I will never buy another one of their models again and got a reply saying we don't care stop emailing we won't help you. So my point is, yeah nice models but any problems forget about. They don't give a crap
In Australia the MAAA make it so hard to fly. All because they say your insurance AMAS are not good enough. It's the same if not better the Tha MAAA. THAT IS discrimination.
Having just returned home after another day at our model club it is great to see your videos and especially how other countries enjoy our wonderful sport.
Great Video! Ordered the Corsair in the video. Do you know what engine and prop(3 blade) combo they were using on the Corsair? Would love to do the same with mine. Thanks.
Very informative video. I had never heard of this company. Do they have any distributors in North America? I live in Canada. I explored their web page. I couldn’t find any pricing. One more question, can you get any of their models in electric? Thanks again
Legend Hobby imports their product line into the US. You can inquire with them about shipping to Canada: www.legendhobby.com/ Most of their kits are designed for both Gas and Electric power systems.
HobbyView Merch Store is open! 🎁 🛒 hobbyview.myspreadshop.com
I always suspected that Seagull was an OEM for Hangar 9...now I know. Great tour BTW! They are very cool to have let you fly their planes.
Yes, they have been for years.
I noticed that too, I always wondered about Hangar 9.
Usa free market.
Cool vidieo
Yes, and phoenix models, black horse to

Wow! Amazing! I'll bet that you had felt very privileged and honored to have been able to fly their aircraft, especially the Corsair. Congrats!
I was. I was flabbergasted they let me fly it.
Very impressive organization and it appears to be a chill place to work. Thanks for sharing and congrats towards making the cover of Model Aviation Magazine!

Terrific video fitz - seeing the folks at the local club letting you fly was great.

Great video but I must say the thing that jumped at me were the Hangar 9 boxes. Are H9 planes built in the Seagull factory?
Some are

What a fantastic video!! Thank you for posting this. Really helps me understand how much effort goes into a RC plane.
I really like Seagull Models. They have unique scale subjects and still use good quality covering instead of that awful vinyl that many others are using.
NOT CCP/China!! I am a Fan!! Well Done... thank you!
Thank you seagull, the club members and big thank you to the workers.

Your best video ever, and others are great, so that speaks a lot man! Respect from a country somewhere right in between Kansas and Taiwan 😀
Enjoyed seeing the factory, always wondered how the models are built.

Fantastic video. Awesome tour of Seagull's factory. Was interesting to see Hangar9 comes out of that factory too.
I really enjoyed the trip and the tour of the factory. It's nice to see something a little different every now and then.
Really enjoyed the video Fitz.. Very impressed with their manufacturing facilities.. Not what I expected. Thanks for sharing - Will
That's pretty impressive. I didn't know that they were in Vietnam.
That Corsair is sweet.
terima kasih hiburan keliling pabrik RC pesawatnya pak.
mantap...
Excellent video. Glad you got such a unique opportunity and thanks for letting us tag along!
Really cool video thanks
Nice video man 😉

Good to see the staff using their safety squints while running the laser cutters 😂
OSHA would have a heart attack if they went to Vietnam. However, the factory was somewhat safer than many other places I had seen over there.
Ok AvE
Yeah, that made me cringe. A blink of an eye from blindness. 😢
Great video nice seeing how other countries are behind the scenes.
Very awesome video seeing this. I own several Hangar 9 airplanes, so it's nice to see where the planes are built. Seagull has always done excellent work and wish Horizon would carry more of their products.
Execellent Video as always, very informative, Seagull models could make real planes If he proposes itself, they do it all, RESPECT!
I don't buy them no more, in Australia the cost is to much, the government made this happen so by no more. Even making them in Australia $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ government tax. CASA making it hard just to fly my little planes. So it's not worth the hassle.
Great video, I really enjoyed watching that! Very informative, yeah, I was surprised by Hangar 9 as well!
Seagull factory with tons of Hangar 9 boxes. 🤔

Great video. First time seeing your channel. Everything about this video was excellent.

If this was in America workers would be underworking and overpaid, bickering and drama and the workers would not respect the boss! Lol
In Australia the MAAA make it so hard to fly. All because they say your insurance AMAS are not good enough. It's the same if not better the Tha MAAA. THAT IS discrimination.
That was a great show .Loved the walk through . I actually had a couple of Hanger9 arf’s . They flew fine.
I am really impressed very nice factory, I like the fact that everybody was wearing their safety shoes.HA! HA!
Excellent video Fitz. Very interesting tour, that is not what I imagined a factory to look like.
Having just returned home after another day at our model club it is great to see your videos and especially how other countries enjoy our wonderful sport.
Lovely tour, thank you for sharing Fitz!
No eye protection on those lasers, scary.
Good to see other known brands are also manufactured and assembly is done. Hangar 9 is spotted
Great Video! Ordered the Corsair in the video. Do you know what engine and prop(3 blade) combo they were using on the Corsair? Would love to do the same with mine. Thanks.
Hello,
Great video and very interesting!👍
Nice greetings from Germany!🖖🍀
Such talent I love those fields reminds me as a kid here in Australia I dont much like manicured modern fields
Made in 'Vietnam'? on behalf of MY generation, NO THANKS!
Horizon should take notes. Maybe they would actually have models in stock for more than a day if they built their own
Great informative vid......thanks and God Bless
It looks like they have a large staff. I'm surprised there were no electrics. at the field. Does Seagull sell electrics? I enjoyed the video.
I so want the big corsair I'm in New Zealand, wonder when it will be ready I absolutely love it and want one, along with a spitfire
The whole world is productive while the US is figuring out what bathroom to use.
So many inappropriate sayings come to mind. Wonder what they get paid and how many they have to produce each day.
Nice video…mostly gas models wasn’t expecting that
How about Phoenix Models? They are in Vietnam also
I like how similar you sound to William Shatner, and take that as complement 😅
thank you very much for sharing your trip. do the employees get a good discount?
Used to live in Saigon, but never knew seagull models was there LOL
nice job on the video....did they say why they don't get into electric??
Great video! Really enjoyed watching....
Great video! Have you/Will you do one for Phoenix Models?
Imagine what their military drone manufacturing is like .
Oh man looks like you had a grand old time...im.jealous...😅
As someone that builds models this is a lot of work these people do and takes skill makes you wonder how much they get paid?
Nice laser safety... who needs eyes... great tour thank you
Nice video! Will you visit the VQ factory while in Viet Nam?
Really interesting to see behind the scenes. Lunch looked great too! 😊
Fritz that was a great video! Very interesting to say the least.😮
I knew my H9 Hellcat was a Seagull design...and my RV4
I didn’t realise hanger nine came out of this joint……
Another grate and interesting Video from you. Greetings and thanks!
didnt know that Hanger 9 was built in this factory Wow
Excellent relations hope you had a great time.
wow this is a first to see the factory i guess the foamys are made in a similar environment
Great video., Fitz! Thanks!
Haha I like your last comment...about being deported...I would love to visit all the model factorys...
Looks like they make many brands in the same factory i.e Hangar 9.
very nice video of the factory, thanks for sharing!
No pricing information on Seagull web page
Great job Fitz. I want that Corsair.🤪
i love them rc planes.flew them for years.

Did you buy something from there ?😊
Great trip! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I love the asians dedication to modeling in general
Very informative video. I had never heard of this company. Do they have any distributors in North America? I live in Canada. I explored their web page. I couldn’t find any pricing. One more question, can you get any of their models in electric? Thanks again
