This was in my opinion, Conroy’s best moment as Batman. Typically he portrays Batman as very calm and collected (which he is) but here you can feel the rage and impatience in his voice. Phenomenal

Thing with Punisher, he doesn't care if you die. In fact, depending on the version he relishes in it. I believe one of his torture methods was knocking someone out, disemboweling and hanging their guts around them on a tree, and then waking them up.
Oh he can. Remember, his rule is that he can't KILL you. And he didn't. He knew exactly how much pressure to apply to make the man feel the squeeze on his skull, make him fear, over and over, that his skull is going to break, feel the squish right down to his brain - and then stop. Stop right there, at the cusp of dying, and make it STAY there. THIS is why people fear Batman. Not just because of his symbolism or that he's effective at defeating criminals, but because he knows how to break you. Even if you don't fear death, because he knows exactly how far he can hurt you without letting you die.
First time I saw this I really thought Batman was gonna kill this guy. He quietly summoned the car and rolled it onto his neck and never said a word until he revved the engine. Terrifying

They _had_ Barbara, she _was_ going to suffer...and then Batman's response is to threaten to crush his damn head under the wheel!! Like WUT?!
Man this scene is so awesome because it really shows you that the stakes are as high as they’ve ever been in this series and that for the first time in the series Batman is really backed into a corner and desperate with Barbara taken, Joker literally in his fucking head, and people dying left and right. Remember that most of the Ace Chemical workers died before Batman could get to them which rarely ever happened in the other games, let alone multiple in one place. He’s going up against an enemy aware of his deepest fears and how to exploit them, and another who knows the ins and outs of how he operates. The extent of brutality we’ve never seen before and killer performance from Conroy “REMEMBER SOMETHING ELSE?!” really drive it home. Fucking brilliant shit
