@@samakiraroyjanssen6326 honestly as someone who came back after new war and had to grind for a rail jack then, it's not even much of a time sink to get into now. Ppl are just stubborn or listening to stubborn outdated info lol Railjack is awesome! Imo the one problem with it is how you generally REALLY want an auto repair ai crew mate in some of the tougher missions, so it's kinda encouraged to go solo or with a locked squad of only 3 total players so your 4th slot can stay as your ai repairman crew member, but even that ceases being an issue with good allies or a REALLY strong Railjack build
It is fun, the concept is absolutely amazing. The actual functionality and execution isn't perfect by any stretch though. 20:06 “Relatively Friendly.” Understatement of the year, when I was new, Warframe players bordered on almost self sacrificing when I said I was new. Now with 3K hours on this game, I get it.
Ever since the new war dropped, a lot of updates have been more focused on QoL and player feedback for things, which has been great. Angels of the Zariaman gave us an easier way to farm focus for operator/drifter schools with Thrax units. Veilbreaker gave us archon shards, a way to improve our Warframes. Duviri gave us the circuit to grind out and improve old weapons, as well as a way for new players to try different weapons and frames. Abyss of Dagath gave us the Nightwave & Shield changes/improvements, plus a slight Hydroid rework. Whispers in the walls gave us Tennokai, Melee arcanes and arcane dissolution Dante Unbound gave us a whole bunch of QoL improvements, buffs and an Inaros rework. Jade Shadows gave us the damage/health rework, multiple augments and some backstory on the Stalker (plus a new voice for him) Most recently we've had Lotus Eaters, which tweaked several small things and gave us Sevagoth Prime. Tbh I really like what DE have done with their almost 12 years of warframe.
As someone that has played the game very early around release and over the last year or so, there is a massive amount of content to go through. I'm just very grateful I have the stuff I built up during that early days, so I can basically easy keep up the resources and credits to built new stuff now. Having an existing and functional Dojo that we built with basically 3-4 people is a nice bonus too. For real the upcoming patch with Koumei and the companion rework part 2 is looking really interesting.

(meaning they understand what they can do, why they exist and the burden of the Tenno) and C) their max faction line. “You are a Fire, as feared as you are respected.” It’s just unfortunate people immediately judge them based on appearances and actions and not the reasons for them. What surprises me the most is that the game is just getting better and better by the day. theyre reworking one of my favorite warframes (nova) out of NOWHERE and i couldnt be happier. DE is being very selfaware about the game's few problems or even minor underwhelming things and working their way to fix those things. its insane how listening to the player base and doing the minimum to make them satisfied is such an odd and unique attitude in todays standards in game industry

0:47 same here did not know wtf i was doing just playing with other kids 2016 to 2019 doing only earth missions. Last year got 300 hours within 4 months just the graze steel path
That bit about Archwing, is true. They have pretty much taken everything (except Archmelee, I want my giant fists) from it and reused it somewhere else but done better. Archwing missions seriously need a rework so they aren’t tedious
Also, Excalibur Prime is a Founder Exclusive, Founder’s being those who were there from the beginning and have given their money during that time so Warframe could make it out of its cradle to what we know today… without the Founders, the game would have probably died long ago
Yeah true for Archwing. It would be fine if it was just on its side and being bad and lonely on a corner.. But new players are kinda forced to do it for starchart. Which sucks.
The grind wall you’ll reach several hundred hours into the game is split up into: focus farm that turns your human character into something usable in gameplay, archane farm that gives you extra passives and abilities, shards which are in a middle ground between archanes and mods, and fashion to look cool. (And rivens if you want to do them) Despite what some may say, it’s not mandatory to have them. You can still be a 10/10 on threat level without them, it just that with them you become a 15/10 which said power is so over the top it’s like using a hydrogen bomb to swat a fly.
Two additional things that might be worth mentioning; while the game has been around since late 2012 (in the beta), the graphics and lighting and particle systems are constantly getting reworked to provide improved graphical fidelity (the game keeps getting prettier) with hyper optimized systems (i can play this game with medium settings on a THINKPAD at 60fps). Also since 2012 the game has gone from 20 GB to 36 GB. In a decade and change of constant content drops and improvements the game is still less than double the size to download and play. You do not need a monster rig to play, you do not need a separate SD to play, and the game will run smoothly on pretty much anything and everything. It's also available on literally every platform (android is coming soon and iOs is slightly unoptimized but DE are working on it).
It's not even fair to compare Warframe to D2 at this point honestly. Warframe is the real sci-fi future space experience, D2 is just a boxed mock war virtual combat at this point, with how repetitive it has become. Just... don't tell the D2 hardcore fans that, for some reason they get REALLY upset right now!
"Let's see what's changed" And thus he plunged into the abyss of patch notes and fan summaries, not to be seen again for an entire week. But unlike Destiny 2, getting caught up can actually be played without paying. You aren't charged for the expansions. Which is why Warframe wins every time. Destiny 2's story missions might scratch your itch better, but you have to pay for them and hope they're in the right rotation. That our devs actually listen and try to care only widens the gap. Oh, and we have devs with ambition to take chances.
You forgot about prime resurgence, it’s now a rotation in the shop every month for 2 different prime warframes that you can get the relics for. You use a new currency called Aya to buy the relics. You can get that currency by opening relic packs or finishing missions on Cetus. The better option is to use your standing with certain factions to the left of your navigation to buy relic packs.
Warframe does what Destiny doesn't: make everything obtainable for free through Grind and Patience, actual space battles, and no grind for a 0.001% chance of a good weapon roll. Anyways- completly irrelevant, but my favorite frames are: Nidus - Floody Boy Yareli - Driveby Crits Umbra - More Stabby Voruna - How Many Statuses? Jade - Alotta mod points
Mag: Water, Fire, Air and Earth fuccin magnets, how do they work? Volt: Wanna see me run to that objective? wanna see me do it again? Excalibur: I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING!!!! PROVOKING, BLACK CLOUDS IN ISOLATION!! Rhino: You call this resisting arrest? We call this a difficulty tweak!!
I remember playing the very early version of this game all the way back when it was in Beta. It's like a completely different game now, to the point where the early versions of the game feel like looking into a different reality where Warframe focused more on ninja stealth instead of Wuxia in Space.

To those who are new to Warframe or Destiny player who trying out the game. All "DLC"/quest are free. There no paywall, dungeon key or whatever that Bungie screw you over. They all free including Nightwave aka Battlepass, they're free too The only thing is not free are the cosmetic Tennogen but those are community-made, buying one actually support the Artist who made it directly. The one that cost plat are tradeable as what CTM said. People who buy plat with real money are people who wanted to Support the game. Warframe will put a Tip jar aside for ppl who wanted to tip while Destiny will shove a tip jar on your face and demand to tip
And when people aren't being pressured to tip, its like reverse psychology. People are dumping thousands of dollars into Warframe to make that economy flow.

I love the Jordas Precept. The golem probably needs the first rework of all. For the Story bits; like most of it is still basically the same-ish. It just has been expanded. Some really interesting things are for example the Grineer being clones, and theyr decay pushing them to the raw force to quickly get the job done. The queens were once a nice inspiration to them, theyr sisterly bond inspired theyr Brother-hood bond, making them stronger then mindless fodder, However Most grineer we fight forgot what makes them stronger, just like the queens did. Not the Power or Rank, but the bond and love between them. With the Infested it´s also actually insane. Theyr goal is not to destroy and consume, but to save and spread. They are evolution, beginning with a Virus and ever-evolving. Creating an entire world, Deimos eco-system. And Eris, the Dumpster for all things Ill, left without struggle evolved passed survival, into an infectious religion. And also There is an Infested Boyband, but that´s a 90´s thing.
The best part about Warframe is that it's about six *different* games bolted into one, and most of what you do in one version carries over into the next. I spent most of last week farming, trading, and pushing the power level on my Khora as far as it could go, did a couple of high level missions, was very satisfied with the result, and checked that goal off the list. Currently deciding on my next goal, and debating between buffing up my Necromech or cracking a ton of relics to trade for the plat I spent buffing Khora, and whichever one of those I choose to do, I'll be taking that very same Khora to those missions. It's all interlocking pieces that play into each other, you basically never start over from square 1 because there's a new seasonal power level/mechanic or a new battlepass.
I just started the game recently, and it put me in a thing called Duviris, or however it's spelled, when I picked the launch next mission. Should I keep going through it? Or should I try to unlock planets instead?
@12:28 the even better part is that Solaris (the open world corpus ally faction) are mostly mechanical bc they are given insurmountable debts that they cannot realistically pay off. If the debt gets high enough, the Corpus will forcefully take body parts as payment. These body parts are implied to serve the rich and amend their injuries or ailments. The intro quest to Fortuna has a kid get dragged off and he loses all of his limbs. They didn’t even bother giving him robotic arms. Side Note: some do elect to have “enhancements” due to the harsh climate they have to work in.

(Not every Cephalon is changed completely to benefit the orokin, some are left to rot for eternity bc they can no longer die)
"where regardless of where you start playing you could always get caught up" if there was any doubt, that's how you know he's not talking about destiny
Of note, we do actually know how long it has been since the old war. Varzia, the prime resurgence vendor, talks about how she was in cryosleep for a thousand years, and we see her in a cinematic at the end stages of the old war, so she was most likely put to sleep right at the end of just after the old war. Of course it isn't exactly 1000 years, but I would hazard to guess that 1000 +-25 years is pretty accurate.
Closed beta tester here. Nice video. A few corrections for clarity. 15:34 Excalibur Prime was a special reward for those who donated during the game's early stages, so nobody else can have him in the West. In China, the company that represents DE there broke this agreement and sold him, on a special pack for the donors there. From time to time, Prime items are temporarily vaulted and they go on a rotation, so you can farm the frames and weapons that were vaulted before.
archwing was the first "alt gamemode" where the controls were wildly different. Way more realistic and slower, think of elite dangerous with 6 degrees of freedom. It was really cool (with my rose tinted glasses) but still just really slow and not the right vibe and never touched on again until later when we get to use them in open worlds, not much happened many years later till they got a whole design overhaul making them very fast (and simple, what they are today) to pretty much compensate for keeping up with old railjack. Some archwing missions kept up, some did not, as you see in that boss fight.
Speaking as someone who's been around night constantly, and played this game nearly every day for 10 years (with a few stretches back before 2018 where I'd not play the game for weeks or months), the snowballing of resources is really noticeable with minimal effort.
It's also funny because Warframe is often compared to destiny in multiple smaller ways, and people treat destiny like it was the original game and Warframe is a ripoff... Yet warframe is older and many of the mechanics that both games share were implemented in Warframe before destiny. People sometimes argue that destiny was in concept before Warframe existed, yet people also don't seem to realize that Warframe has existed in concept since as early as 1999, when they were pitching it to publishers who didn't think a space game would sell. So they changed it up enough to get it published and renamed it Dark Sector, which started development in 2000, and was finally released in 2008. While it's not specifically warframe, Warframe is what Dark Sector was originally supposed to be, but DE couldn't find a publisher to help. When free to play models started to gain traction in the late 2000s, DE looked into going independent to actually create the game they wanted to in the first place. Warframe. Warframe is the OG.
its because a lot of people from destiny see warframe as 'another looter shooter' and decide to try it after destiny burnout... and they generally dont go back. so they're going to compare the 2 games. genuinly look at how many youtubers did a 'destiny player tries warframe. i love it.'

7:04 So. Excal Main here, started march 15 2015 (yeah really) and never stopped playing him until then (well, Umbra now, of course). Excal IS a stealthy frame too. The 2 with radius + duration makes him especially good at spy missions. Lately I even added on a config the helminth spell that auto-hack consoles. Duration + Radius 2 + 3 mainly, you can blind any camera or person and then just assasinate them pressing X. Even better if you also have toure 4 channeled. And if there's a few people you still can use the 1 after blinding them so you just kill them easily. Yet, yes, you can jsut go slashy slashy and kill everyone through walls so no one can set on the alarm, but I usually just blind them all then go to the console and autocap it.
The only warframe that is vaulted permanently is Excalibur Prime because that was a founder item, and effectively, it's just a skin. All the others are now on a rotation with an npc on marrow's bazaar.
i will not drop a thesis, but ... to those who want excal keep in mind that once you hit endgame he becomes a glass cannon but with more glass than cannon, with the exception of one build that is so hyper specific and weird to use and resource heavy that you might as well just use someone else that does the same but easier
Excal best frame? You gotta be joking Also prime frames a barely an improvement. They give you a minimal stat improvement, which is so small you will never notice. However most primes are easier to get than base frames and most importantly look much cooler
The primes that you think are vaulted can come back in that same relay if you go to Varzia in the back left corner. There's actually a rotation that goes on and it will always have two prime warframes from the past with their weapons and prime cosmetics. So even if you did miss out, they're all obtainable by Varzia. Only Excalibur Prime in unobtainable and that is because he was meant for the founders of the game that played during beta/early access long ago. Either way you don't need Excalibur Prime because we have Excalibur and Excalibur Umbra.

Excalibur, while a popular Warframe and often a first choice for beginners, has certain limitations that make it less effective in higher levels of Warframe's gameplay compared to more specialized frames. His kit, which includes abilities like Slash Dash, Radial Blind, and Exalted Blade, offers a balanced approach to both offense and crowd control, but none of these abilities excel when compared to other Warframes’ powers. For instance, Excalibur's Slash Dash becomes less effective against high-level enemies due to scaling issues, where the damage output doesn't keep up with enemies' increasing health and armor. This puts him at a disadvantage in longer missions or higher-level content. Another major limitation is that Excalibur’s survivability isn't as strong as other Warframes designed to withstand heavy damage. While Radial Blind can incapacitate enemies briefly, it is not a true defensive ability. Other Warframes like Rhino or Inaros offer better damage mitigation and can soak up damage, making them more viable for tanking or sustained battles in endgame content. Excalibur's reliance on mobility and crowd control for survival can leave players vulnerable when enemies are more resistant to status effects or are simply too powerful for his blinds and dashes to control effectively. In terms of team utility, Excalibur falls short compared to frames that bring more valuable support or synergistic capabilities. Frames like Trinity, Octavia, or Wisp provide healing, energy regeneration, and buffs that benefit the entire squad. Excalibur, on the other hand, doesn't offer any notable team-wide benefits. His abilities are mostly focused on personal damage output, and while Radial Blind can aid in crowd control, it doesn't provide the type of synergy that other frames offer, especially when team coordination becomes crucial in high-level play. Another problem with Excalibur is his heavy reliance on his Exalted Blade, which limits his versatility. While Exalted Blade can clear lower-level enemies effectively, its energy cost can become a hindrance in endurance missions, particularly when energy-hungry enemies or energy-sapping effects come into play. Additionally, the melee-focused nature of Exalted Blade becomes problematic against high-level enemies with strong defenses, and it lacks the scaling damage potential of more powerful Warframe weapons or abilities that can bypass armor or resistances more effectively. Lastly, Excalibur's appeal lies in his ease of use and beginner-friendly design, but this simplicity becomes a drawback at higher levels of play. Warframes like Mesa, Saryn, or Protea offer more intricate kits with better scaling, allowing for higher damage output or better utility as missions become harder. Excalibur's basic abilities, while efficient for newer players, do not evolve to match the complexities and demands of late-game Warframe content, making him less viable for experienced players aiming to tackle Warframe’s most difficult challenges.
What I'm reading is you should probably just buy styanax (unless you started when he was given for free) and use him over excalibur, Since styanax has efficient team buffs in rally point which gives a instant shield replenish to all allies who have the buff whenever someone kills a enemy, draws aggro away from allies AND regens all allies energy, Has efficient- and easily spammed (Rally point)- damage via his 4, Has an armor strip via his 2 (Although you'd probably helminth it off for a more wide-range armor strip since you wouldn't really care about the healing cause rally point or the augment he has) and a vortex CC with better statistics than others like nidus and gyre's since it has like 3 more meters of range and lower cost, Although you have to hit a enemy with it to proc the vortex (rally point practically negates that issue due to infinite energy)
Don't need to drop a thesis, just here to say that MAG IS THE BEST from the 3 starter Warframe. I completed the whole game with her and she still kicks ass in Steel Path. Now I can f*/k off 👉

@@MFAN1100 its a time sink to get into, and most people dont like it at that stage. i love the concept, and managed to get basically a perfect railjack, so i can do any mission just fine, and very fast.
turns out its amazing as a all-in-one farm for relics, cracking relics, mods (transmute into potential high-plat mods), endo (convert junk parts to more endo), and credits (about 10k/m)
Rail jacks are so fun. honestly my favorite part of the game.
I just wish they would let us actually play with it. Almost all of the railjack missions are just using the railjack as a taxi to a normal mission
it still counts as stealth if no one lives to tell about it
EXACTLY
Hearing someone unironically say Railjack is the best part about Warframe REALY shows how much it has developed in the past years.
It is fun, the concept is absolutely amazing. The actual functionality and execution isn't perfect by any stretch though.
The ships feel a little empty and samey, the enemy variety on those ships is low as well. I would love to see an overhaul at some point to make the gamemode into the thing it can be, instead of just a fun thing to do on the side occasionally.
@@pinobluevogel6458 Thats not what I mean. They reworked Railjack in the Sisters of Parvos update but it was so buggy that it was nearly unplayable. Most of it got fixed rather fast and the way Railjack is now is good but back then nobody I know went into a Railjack mission happily
Add the fact that I play on Nimtendo Switch with loading screens so long you can take a shower while waiting and it was no fun at all.
@@weirdestkid668 Yea I heard about it's troubles early on and at the rework. Sorry to hear it was not fun at all. I'm lucky I missed all of that, but I do think the gamemode can be a lot better as the concept is a good one.

Hey Vsauce, Michael here
Who is the Beast of Bones?
the warframe devs actually care about their players, unlike Destiny. That alone and the fact the devs actually admit their mistakes and do their best to correct them won me over when I first started warframe years ago in middle school.
That and they don't waste money that is supposed to improve the company on stupid cars instead is another reason I love this company.
Can we stop with the blanket blame on the devs and focus on the leadership that actively shut down the ideas of the devs that are trying to make Destiny into what it should have been?
Here is a recent example, they wanted to nerf smeeta farm to the ground because everyone is only using smeeta because charm. Everyone hated it. Guess what they did after that? They turned charm 2x loot for every animal companions.

“Relatively Friendly.”
Understatement of the year, when I was new, Warframe players bordered on almost self sacrificing when I said I was new.
Now with 3K hours on this game, I get it.
The biggest difference between Destiny and Warframe is that
Warframe is a game,
Destiny is a business
Ever since the new war dropped, a lot of updates have been more focused on QoL and player feedback for things, which has been great.
Angels of the Zariaman gave us an easier way to farm focus for operator/drifter schools with Thrax units.
Veilbreaker gave us archon shards, a way to improve our Warframes.
Duviri gave us the circuit to grind out and improve old weapons, as well as a way for new players to try different weapons and frames.
Abyss of Dagath gave us the Nightwave & Shield changes/improvements, plus a slight Hydroid rework.
Whispers in the walls gave us Tennokai, Melee arcanes and arcane dissolution
Dante Unbound gave us a whole bunch of QoL improvements, buffs and an Inaros rework.
Jade Shadows gave us the damage/health rework, multiple augments and some backstory on the Stalker (plus a new voice for him)
Most recently we've had Lotus Eaters, which tweaked several small things and gave us Sevagoth Prime.
Tbh I really like what DE have done with their almost 12 years of warframe.
heres to another 12 years of an amazingly unique and fun game.

Having an existing and functional Dojo that we built with basically 3-4 people is a nice bonus too.

J O R D I S
Yeah true for Archwing.
It would be fine if it was just on its side and being bad and lonely on a corner.. But new players are kinda forced to do it for starchart. Which sucks.
The grind wall you’ll reach several hundred hours into the game is split up into: focus farm that turns your human character into something usable in gameplay, archane farm that gives you extra passives and abilities, shards which are in a middle ground between archanes and mods, and fashion to look cool. (And rivens if you want to do them)
Despite what some may say, it’s not mandatory to have them.
(Its probably cuz their game got executed)

"Let's see what's changed"
And thus he plunged into the abyss of patch notes and fan summaries, not to be seen again for an entire week.
You joke about me falling into the metaphorical lore K-hole for a week... Your not wrong.

All "DLC"/quest are free. There no paywall, dungeon key or whatever that Bungie screw you over. They all free including Nightwave aka Battlepass, they're free too
The only thing is not free are the cosmetic Tennogen but those are community-made, buying one actually support the Artist who made it directly.

Says he does the bare minimum of research, still whips out Plato's republic to explain the Orokin

Some archwing missions kept up, some did not, as you see in that boss fight.

comparing destiny with warframe is like comparing apples with pears.
the only thing they have in commom is that both are "looter shooter"
Warframe.
Warframe is the OG.
its because a lot of people from destiny see warframe as 'another looter shooter' and decide to try it after destiny burnout... and they generally dont go back. so they're going to compare the 2 games. genuinly look at how many youtubers did a 'destiny player tries warframe. i love it.'
Agreed, some of their differences are that, one is fun, and one is not.
I would agree, if Destiny fans weren't opening their eyes and seeing how much stuff warframe has that they have been asking for ages.

How did I end up here? I've never played warframe but I'm hooked on your video.

Also prime frames a barely an improvement.

OH, railjack, still remember when they added it in game, and mine just stuck in earth, like 300000km away, bugframe in it finest.
Ever since Reb took over it’s been win after win after win
The fact I knew you were gonna talk about Jordas, I was “ugghhhhhh I wanna skip this part, I hate the mission that much” but I didn’t 😂
You need to unlock Excalibur Umbra. Even cooler than regular Excalibur
Don't need to drop a thesis, just here to say that MAG IS THE BEST from the 3 starter Warframe. I completed the whole game with her and she still kicks ass in Steel Path. Now I can f*/k off 👉
Excal is unarguably the worst u can get in terms of power, but the best in terms of avoiding his farm later on.
4:08 you did NOT just do that lol
