Let me explain, Warframe is that lover who you have a healthy, pleasant, if somewhat tame relationship. Destiny 2 is that toxic ex you've loved with a passion your whole life. Warframe is a game. Destiny 2 is a lifestyle. That's the best way I can put it
So much this lol. Anytime I look at Warframe I can only think "this is the shooter equivalent of Diablo" just annihilating entire armies in seconds and flying around at light speed. It definitely feels like "Fun first, story and everything else later", whereas Destiny often feels like the opposite (although I honestly think it's just all over the place and sometimes brings great story, great gameplay, and great mechanics, but rarely ever more than one at once)
@@MCH-23.Quintus og D2 - shadowkeep was disjointed. Granted Forsaken was great but it didn't tie into its seasons. Old content can still tie in though, such as any Cabal or Hive stuff, ie Savathûn working in the background since Io missions and being built up from other seasons until Witch Queen or Calus and his imperial stuff going on for the same for Lightfall. The original campaign on its own though is just bad, honestly happy its gone.
The thing about Warframe is , you can play it at your own pace. There's no rush to do anything. You can take a break from the grind and play other games without the FOMO. Meanwhile Destiny demands your full 100% attention and you just dedicate a large chunk of your time if you intend to do anything meaningful like raids/dungeon/trials. While warframe can be confusing at first ,New players will eventually get a gist of what us going on. Meanwhile new players in Destiny will literally have no clue what to do and why they're doing it .
I've tried so many times to get into Warframe but it's just the exact same thing every mission and i'm left feeling like I made 0 progress. At least Destiny actually does a good job at being clear what you should be doing and where to go. Warframe is so cluttered
The thing about these games are, there are fans of one or the other. It's clear which one you prefer, and completely trash on the opposite game. D2 doesn't demand your full attention at all. You can level up to par with dungeons within a few days if you're behind, the only thing that requires excessive grinding is Master raids.
One big thing to take into consideration if you are a new player is, that if you play Warframe you can experience the entire game from start till the latest update, meanwhile in Destiny 2 more than half of the game alongside PVP and PVE-P maps were removed, not mention all the seasonal content that goes away every year, so as a new player you will feel lost and confused.
Yes. My friend tried it and he heard something about Cayde... How am I supposed to recommend this game to someone with saying.. Oh, yeah, he was bad ass and stuff.. Then they killed him.. but hey! They also decided to remove him lmao
Moreover, as a returning player having BOUGHT the base game, but not progressed much... I find that the story I paid for and was playing is gone, I'm in a location I don't know, and if I want actual content I need to pay again.
@@BIackstrength I experienced recently, I bought the game at launch put it down for a few years. I decided I'd make a new character in Destiny and play through the story then continue into destiny 2 only to find its all gone.
What I’ve come to learn when I tried to play destiny 2 as a Warframe player- not to many people like to help. Warframe players tend to love helping new players. Edit: MOM IM FAMOUS!!!
U know why?? Cause the game is soo chill and casual. Destiny is more so focused on end game(Raids and dungeons) which require teamwork and everyone to be on the same page. Not much content like that in warframe aside from eidolon fights.. These types of content is good for end game content but it does promote this toxicity in the community, to be competitive and such
I remember the time I went back to check out Destiny 2 after like a year of not playing, because I wanted to experience the nostalgia of the campaign that I remember so fondly, only to then get told ALL of it got DELETED because of the Destiny Content Vault, that's also how I found out about Warframe, I just asked on reddit for a game like Destiny 2, that actually has a free campaign, got recommended Warframe, and it is really good
Yeah there’s seriously no campaign on Destiny anymore it sucks. You have to pay 50 dollars to get the new campaign which will probably only be a couple hours long.
@@mellowdarkness3344 also wanna hear something funny? They added a Timeline reflection system in the game as a "Guide for new players" to help and understand the game story line and you can play 1 third of the content. Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond light, Witch queen. The only removed content thats slightly playable is the Forsaken one involving the first mission. Thats literally it Red war is there but cant even be played only read.
@@00Grimreaper00 if there was any campaign they should've kept, it's Red War. It's what helps setup the drive for the guardians to learn more, become more powerful, and start to really look into things because Ghaul just put the traveler in a cage and all the guardians became borderline useless until the deus ex machina happened
I think an important part that didn't really get emphasized enough, which really puts warframe ahead for quite a bit. Is that there are no paid for season pass dlc things to access the new content in Warframe. So it is much cheaper to play.
I throw some money for plat every now and then at Warframe to support the devs, I wasn't pressured into it but God knows they are a paragon in todays toxic modern gaming environment. I quit Destiny after I found the paywall
@@Drebolaskan same, I usually don't want to spend any penny on MMO games but I would spend some every once in a while on this game After all it also worth if if I use the plat for cosmetics, they're all looks good and customizable as well
@maulanahanif6761 nightwave is free and not a battle pass who tf are you pvping against? Little Timmy who is 11 and just discovered warframe because fortnite is down???
While I haven't played as much Destiny as I have Warframe, I feel like Warframe has much more variety than anything I experienced or you showed in Destiny. Yes, there's a lot of "Go through corridor and kill stuff", since that was the focus up until about 2017 (about half the game's lifespan). But since then, we have giant overworld bosses, open world roaming with various side activities and minigames (per area), mech combat, giant spaceship missions, and on and on and on. That's beside over a dozen different horizontal upgrades to pursue. If anything, my biggest problem with Warframe is there is way too much to do, it can easily get overwhelming. Do I want to do some Eidolon hunts? Work on leveling a focus school? Oh, but my Necromech still needs some upgrades. Oh, and I really want a Kuva Lich on my space ship crew. But....then....and.....you see my point? And that's all way before the end game content! Compared to Destiny, fight things in different environments to make a few numbers go up. Yes, those environments are varied and beautiful, and those numbers look really nice. But in the end, they all feed into do things to make your number bigger. That's...not content variety to me.
The greatest thing in Warframe IMO is embarking yourself on personal quests to get certain things done. For example, I came back to the game after not playing for months and was checking out the available warframes to pick one that looked cool to me and get it. I ended up picking Xaku and oh boy... in this quest I: - maxed out Fortuna - got my own moa - finally did the orb bosses - maxed out the entrati and necraloid - mastered a bunch of weapons and frames I used along my journey, as well as my necramech - did a bunch of railjack - finally got to experiment with augment mods and did a cool frost build - met cool people that helped me and I helped along the way - a lot of mining and fishing Now I'm branching out. I'm gonna try out the helminth, while also ranking up syndicates, finally get to do some Zariman and get buffed for the circuit. And there's even more to do for me. In Destiny these personal quests usually come down to "I wanna get that transmog" or "I want to craft this weapon" or "I'm looking for a certain roll". These are usually centered around a single activity (which is either the exact same thing that lasts 15 minutes over and over again or crucible/gambit which I'm not touching) or exotic quests, which are cool when they come with their own mission but horribly tedious when it's just "fill up this bar by doing x activity".
@@sprksmr7208 I tried to grind Xaku... after learning I had to max Fortuna, I decided its probably gonna be a few more hundred hours down the line before that happens lol.
One thing about weapons,in Warframe(especially for melee) there is more weapon types. Sure most don’t have fancy perks like D2 exotics, but…hold up *deep breath* Assualt Rifles,Snipers, bows, shotguns, semi rifles, flamethrowers, water throwers, acid throwers, other throwers, pistols, dual pistols, beam pistols, lazer rifle, lazer pistol, lazer shotgun, lazer RPG,lazer flying rocket fist(talk about something wacky),Swords,Katana,Greatswords, dual swords, sword and shield, multi sword(sword with other swords around it) Two handed Katanas,Fists,Tonfas(imagine Assassin Creed’s hidden blade but instead of hidden it’s obvious),Spears,Polearmes(staffs),Nunchucks,Whips,Scythes,Heavy Scythes,Gunblades, and Gunspears. Ik Destiny two fanboys gonna hate, but it has been out for 5 years, meanwhile Warframe has been out for 10. Warframe no question has Far more diversity then not just the whole Destiny franchise, but every other Sci-Fi RPG or MMO I have ever played. For a game to not have PC mods and still be diverse as hell, the only reason why it’s unpopular was the fact that GTA launched that year and they were an unpopular studio to begin with. Warframe is basically a hidden gem of gaming. Once u find and learn it’s properties, you won’t need another Sci-Fi looter shooter ever till Warframe 2 comes out(which will be a really long time due to game still not aging).
As someone who has too many hours in both games, I appreciate that this is a very fair review of them. I love both games a lot and there are peaks and valleys for both. But it is healthy to not just blindly hate or love anything, and it’s good to take a step back and really see it for what it is
I have >2 000hrs on Warframe and got asked by a friend to play D2 with him. You made very good points about Warframe (Tho you really shocked me when you talked about the operators, we don't talk about them when there's potential newbies around :s) and now I know a bit better what I should await from D2. Cool video !
Same! Warframe has just as much depth to its lower as Destiny 2, but a lot of it is optional, in the stuff that isn't completely changes the paradigm every time you find it out, so there's a massive basically community-wide gag order that we all willingly follow that while we may use it in public content, we don't talk about it or mention it or a new players so they can have the same amazing "oh what the fuck? That's awesome!" Moments we did.
I was shocked how the entire community, at least 6-7 years ago, wouldn't bring their void kids out at all if someone was low MR and had likely not made it past second dream. I also got the advise to play through the star chart solo so I could suffer and learn each mission type and get used to the game before I got blown past by the OG's in standard play.
@@danielsterling4918 because it's such an impactful reveal, the developers put a lot of time and work into building it up, and it's a really satisfying payout. And it opens the door for a lot of the earlier things that were hinted at. It makes you completely rethink new relationship with the Warframes and the history of the teno, and that moment of realization is something to be treasured. It's also early enough in the playtime, only like 8 to 10 hours in, that it's worth staying silent until they found it themselves and experienced that.
What I love about Warframe is the trade system because you can also obtain everything with trade and it respect your time though I hate how much I have to grind every resource and being bugged out oftentimes.
I’ve played Destiny since it came out in 2014 and I’m totally hooked. Warframe I tried it and kinda liked it but was very confused with what I had to do
@@Five20three Deepsight isn't as bad now. They add more and more ways to get guaranteed ones, and this season there's even some rng protection with some things that guarantee deepsight of a weapon that you don't already have the pattern for.
Opposite for me, started with Warframe. Was not a fan of the shift in focus where every piece of content they add feels like it contributes to nothing in larger sense, and the gameplay is either really fun or just really buggy. Weapon leveling is also dreadfully boring, I want something I spent 12 hours crafting to be useable from the start, not after grinding Hydron for hours. Destiny has some low points too but I feel like the devs are actually listening to criticism and improving the game while sticking to it's strengths.
@@D1ab0lical psst, a bit of advice for easy weapon leveling. Stealth bonus exists xD like, seriously, what? Hours? It takes 8 to 10 minutes to refill the weapon aff after forma, solo Adaro full stealth kill gives EXCESS amount of affinity, enough to get FOCUS from lich weapons. After 5 formas. Though, admittedly, they rarely even require that much. Usually you can fiddle around 3, if minmaxing - 4, if you utterly minmax - then maybe yes, 5 formas. For lich/tenet weapons. Idk why would you spend HOURS on something that can be done within half of ONE. 😑
@@Shahid_2004 Because I've never even heard of that method. I haven't payed attention to anything Warframe since Fortuna and only came back briefly for New War. I've never been a minmaxer because I find the mastery system to be incredibly boring so I just stuck to my favorites, only about MR17 since a few years ago.
This video summarizes so well my feelings towards D2 & Warframe! I took a break from D2 and switched back to Warframe. It’s been 7 years and my Warframe was in tact, still capable of picking up where I left off.
For me Warframe is super boring, since it is shooter in third person. I cant even feel those new guns. In destiny I play with them and loot is much more impactful for me. I love meele in third person tho.
@@SnailSnail-lo4pm no? I love rpg with meele and bows in third person. But shooter is just super boring to me. It doesn't matter which gun you have, all that change are numbers.
I'm in that camp. Warframes are psychotic. The Imperium would crumble to a crack team of Tenno. They would not fear the Warp. They would be untouchable to the Genestealers, and know exactly how to fight them. Love 'em or hate 'em, they cannot be matched. The weakest Frame is still far more dangerous than an entire Astartes Legion.
The build variety, synergy etc. is the main reason I play Warframe (plus everything is designed to look cool). Augments are basically armor exotics but you can equip as many as you want (which you get free by playing), this along with helminth and operator abilities/arcanes can have crazy synergy which give you several different playstyles within a lot of frames or weapons. There's generally more complicated "min-maxing" than in Destiny. The only real "endgame" things Warframe has that you don't make yourself (love that description btw) are Rivens and Eidolons. Rivens are randomized mods for weapons that you grind/trade for (trade chat is so full of them there may as well be a riven chat), Eidolons are "open world" bosses with a pretty high skill ceiling that you want a coordinated group to do efficiently.
my "endgame" is just a desire to get "the squad" a long term goal to just, get every single warframe on my team and have come up with a build for each, doing other stuff on the side but on the whole having that be my main overarching "goal" once i do that ill have considered myself as "winning" warframe at least until they release the next story mission
This brought back nightmares of the times when the destiny and warframe community were kinda at eachothers throats and at this point and time I feel they both are just chill and glad they didn't end up like Anthem
I honestly felt more confused playing Destiny than I did when I first started playing Warframe. I just remember doing the exact same missions over and over and over. You can say similar things about Warframe but there is at least some variety between planets, destiny just felt like I was playing Groundhog Day Simulator. When I started playing Warframe, I just looked at it like I was essentially a space pirate and I would go to different planets collecting resources and gear. Best way to look at it, you’re going to a place to get a thing to allow you to progress to a place and get a thing, only there’s hundreds of different things with their own unique way to get said things. Why get these things? Well, it’s the point of the game, and some of these things make you feel like a total badass. Sometimes they just look cool. Why *not* go and get the thing, really
@@Bananakingchad the opposite warframe is literally 30 mins of gameplay on repeat whilst destiny actually has puzzles and dialogue explaining what’s happening throughout the mission only reason I could think you’d be confused is if you loaded up the open world area instead of missions or strikes
Honestly I wouldn't recommend either one, these live service games are pretty bad. Full products of one and the same thing reskinned just enough to throw paint over your eyes. Endless grind and you pay to grind faster and/or looking better doing it. Once you've played Warframe for a decade like me, then step away and take a good look at what you experienced? This is it. I have to say tho, the customization is helluva addictive. Could spend days on end on just that - except mod builds. Endgame builds among weapons/frames/other gear pretty much use the same 5-6 mods, then slight variations given the strengths of what you're modding. Pretty dull as well. But there's no color combination I did not try on my gear.
As a long time player of destiny (1) and Warframe. Destiny is easier to get into, it almost immediately hooks you into the story Warframe is more obscure, and you’re likely to be confused for the majority of the story up until the second dream, but as you progress your interests might be peaked Destiny is a fast game to get into. Warframe is a slow game at first, but it then speeds up ridiculously fast in the later missions
are you sure that d2 is easy to get into? seems like an absolute nightmare with the main campaigns gone, you're just thrown into the middle of everything this is one of the reasons I can't recommend it to new players
I've been playing with destiny since it came out. Still play a bit today but I would say destiny 2 is Way harder to get into compared to Warframe. Only thing that's hard about Warframe is the weapon crafting that is kinda annoying I remember making a bolter and it took 3 days lol.
You can also replay the story quests of Warframe as much as you want. You can't do that with Destiny unless you want to delete one of your three characters.
I have about 100 hours in Destiny 2 and 200 hours in Warframe and TBH this video did a great explanation of both experiences. Destiny 2 definitely has more varied content especially if you want a PVP aspect because as far as the Warframe community is concerned the PVP is almost never played by anyone. Warframe is almost always some form of PVE where as Destiny 2 can be PVP PVE or some mixture of both. Great coverage of the differences here.
I had quit both games time to time because I couldn't decide on what game makes me feel excited on playing it but now my heart belongs to Warframe because of free content and helpful teammates
Warframe is the game that gives you everything you never knew you wanted, it boasts a impressive amount of content and long shelf life and it is free there is no downside.
there is a LOT of downside. i love the game and DE to bits, but it is a freemium as hell experience. once youre up to endgame, being able to afk with a hydroid or what have you, platinum is an easy grind. im seeing a lot of "warframe is a friendlier new player experience" but i've never seen anything further from the truth. its so ugly to a new player, build cool new thing and wait 3 days because you simply dont have the facets to farm plat through yet. once you get there, its the higher shelf life game, but damn you really have to drag someone kicking and screaming through the first few MSQs to understand
@@chuggington4791 To be fair DE doesnt want an MR5-10ish player to have thousands of platinum on their account. You start as a baby Tenno u gain rewards like a baby Tenno the more time passes the more you get its a simple rewarding system. It would be nonsense for a game like warframe to be able to be played thru in terms of gaining items/finishing builds etc in 3-4 days its a year long grind. The timegates are annoying early on but in my own honest opinion justified. Nr.1 once youre a bit further into the game and craft stuff you will always find something else in the downtime of crafting, your work in Warframe literally never ends if you dont want to. I got myself years ago into Min/Maxing builds going for meme stuff tricaps endurance etc. The game just has infinite possibilities the only end of it is your own creativity to enjoy it.
@@oxsila because if you properly grind you can fly through the mastery ranks and trade for platinum to skip the wait times it's only because the game literally offers too much content that people become dazzled and lose sight of how easy and fast it is to go from 0 to endgame with the proper mission modes
As someone who also started warframe recently due to d2 burnout, I thoroughly recommend that anyone playing one of these at least tries to play the other. I've beaten almost all of the content since season of the hunt (when I joined) but got burnout around season of plunder. Went over to warframe and have enjoyed that more at the moment. Both are great games that I think players on both sides should try

@@oxsila your mastery level (the little number beside your gamer tag is a good place to start) you can increase it by getting weapons and warfraes to level 30. The best way to check the level of enemies to fight is look at the enemy, note their level and see how you do. If you're killing them quickly you're in the right place but if they're taking forever to die then you might want to find a new weapon or mods to help you out
@@oxsila remember to level up mods too, a max serration on a primary will go miles. Find a good weapon, good mods and a good warframe and that should help you progress a bit faster
Hey so I get that you got burned out last season (who didn't as a lore junkie season of Plunder blows) but I'm curious If u gave season of the Seraph a try ? I personally like it, the only downside being that it follows the same seasonal structure.
i have 20h on destiny 2 and 400h on warframe, here are my personal thoughts on both warframes whole lore is f2p , as soon as i joined after 40h of gameplay i feel in love with the game , the cominity is helpfull and the games lore is very very good i just finished the last main quest and it was perfect , i didnt had to pay for anything and i recently made 600 plat by selling primes with a firend, and it felt good it felt liike in thoase 400h every hour had content and was fun soo i tried destiny 2 looking for the same amount of fun.... nope :(( im 20h in and the rest of the game is hidden behind dlcs and paywalls i could spend like 20h more and get more exotics, but it dosent feel the same , the game feels empty , like if it was just a longer demo to make players spend money on the game, ive meet a firend in destiny 2 and it was cool , but most of the fun things that could replicate the fun i had in warframe, are behind paywalls and now idk if i should buy the dlc and have fun for a little bit more, or just accept that there is no game that could replicate the fun i had with warframe. im sorry for shitting on destiny 2 , its very good game, my point is that the good part of the game is hidden behind a paywall.
As someone with 2800 hours in D1 and 1500 hours in D2, I didn't like warframe.. actually I hated how much people talk about it. But one day I was really bored of destiny exotic grind so I decided to try warframe and ended up deleting destiny and so far have 980 hours in warframe.. never touching destiny ever again after the last 3 messy updates and content vault.
I played both (~500 hours on Destiny 2 and ~4k hours on Warframe) and liked both. I stopped playing Destiny when they vaulted 2 starter campaigns and a lot of other content. I didn't play it from the beginning so i was behind on a lot of content and was trying to catch up. The problem is that D2 has a lot of time limited content so i was always distracted by the fomo and didn't had time to just complete the older content. Then Bungie just removed them. I was already burned out on the constant rush to finish the new content before it goes away and it was just too much. Warframe on the other hand is a much more relaxed game. You can do every content at your own pace. Even the rewards for time limited events can be obtained later from other sources (other than some cosmetics). WF has a battlepass too called Nightwaves but its free and you always have enough time to get all the rewards in time even if you start a couple of weeks later. There is some time gating with crafting times and daily standing limit plus a lot of grinding but i still think WF respects your time a lot more than Destiny. If you are someone like me who likes to play a variety of games at a time then Warframe is a better fit because it doesn't feel like you are forced to play or you miss out on content.
As someone who still plays d2 and has around 1500 hours in it, I wholeheartedly feel your pain with the game. The endless rushing content (FOMO) is anxiety inducing, and I have burned out on it many times. The neglected starter experience is painful to witness. It's insanely bad compared to the Red War campaign. Bungie says they're changing the seasonal model in Lightfall (the next expansion coming February), but I don't know how much that changes things. I really love Destiny 2. The art, music, story, and raids are incredible. However, I can't maintain the destiny 2 lifestyle anymore.
@@newax_productions2069Yes. The best part is that you never miss out on content just because you couldn't play or were taking a break from the game. Even if you skip a nightwave (the battlepass) unique rewards from it will return eventually so you can earn them later. It allows me to choose when i want to play more rather than being forced to grind even if i'm not in the mood. The only choice Destiny 2 gives you is either grind now or probably lose out on the content. In many cases i had to choose between progressing the story or doing the daily and weekly bounty grind. It became a chore.
@@SubZole i tend to play destiny 2 at the beginning of seasons and then switch to warframe. It's safe to say i have more hours in warframe than destiny at the moment. The seasonal model ruins Destiny.
@@newax_productions2069 The biggest problem is that they just remove all that new content at the end of every season. I would have liked to complete all the new story missions, complete the achievements and complete all the rewards but i never had the time for it. Its so dumb. Imagine watching a series on Netflix and they would just remove the older season whenever a new one comes out.
@@banditmain874 I get what you mean, but honestly the Ghoulsaw from Warframe is more akin to the Whirligig Saw from Bloodborne, while Lament is much more like the chainsword from Darktide where you gotta rev it up before hitting something.
Currently I've been taking a break from both games and just playing Horizon FW. Both D2 & WF get repetitive fast, and I'm just waiting for the next big content to drop
For me, the variety in Destiny 2 outweighs the fun movement in Warframe. Actually playing the game just got boring quickly since I didn’t have anything new to use without heavy grinding of the exact same stuff. In destiny, I can go play PVP or try some new build much more easily.
@@TheHeadincharge Good point, what I like in destiny 2 is it's pretty easy to switch builds. In warframe u have to do all this forma and constant leveling to try out builds, that is probably the part that annoyed me the most, how it would punish u for trying to experiment
Thank you! Honestly it means a lot, I was just going to cut it out of the video at one point as I wasn't sure if people would like it. But the feedback has been great so who knows, guess we'll have to see 😉
I'm a player of both (warframe since 2017, even though my first login was in 2015, and destiny 2, which I got into during season of the arrivals in 2019) and I've been getting into Crossout recently. That is another level of grind. Also, here's a fun fact: warframe was first conceptualized in 2001 under the name *Darksector.* but due to the publisher not being supportive of the Sci-fi genre, the game was released under the same name as what can best be described as a metal gear clone. When they started designing warframe, they recycled a lot of the original design concepts seen in the original trailer. Some of the environmental design elements can be found in the game to this day that were designed something like 22 years ago. I believe you could search "original darksector trailer" and find it without too much issue. In the trailer, you will see a man in a suit that looks like the warframe Excalibur holding what appears to be a Lato. There are grineer soldiers holding what are now burstons inside of what looks like the Zariman-10-0 (ten O, that's why we're called tenno, even though the Darksector protagonist's name is Hayden Tenno) with a clearly corpus interior. In the beta, there was no grineer interior. Instead, they just used the old corpus ship interior since the corpus didn't exist yet, anyway. The grinner didn't get their own interior until later. Wow, that was a big fun fact... Here's a little fun fact: the factions of warframe all have their own languages with are really just English shoved through an algorithm. These languages have their own alphabets with unique styles. Different messages can be seen throughout the game, and they doo say things. For instance, the grineer letters on the side of the Zarr simply say "BOOM." There is also someone who translated corrupted Vor's entire monolog into corpus. And read it aloud. Aight, I'm out. Peace!
Let just put it simple. All the content in warframe is free and will be there forever. All the new content in destiny 2 is expensive af and there are chances for the devs to just delete the content u just bought. Idk why would u want to play destiny 2. I played it and i realized there is basically no content if u don't buy the 40+ euro dlcs
This video convinced my brother to try Warframe after years of him only playing Destiny and me playing both. You did in 20mins what I couldn’t do in 4 years. Also, have you tried STAR CITIZEN YET? I’d love to see what you think of that game! Subbed!
Thanks man! I'd love to try star citizen properly sometime. But every time I do a free flight it runs like dogshit even though I've got the recommended stats. Here's hoping sometime soon!
@@Sonny_D I would say Star Citizen is at its worst during freeflight, as there are so many server-side actions that must be accounted for that servers often reset throughout the day. And if the server is under high-load, then all the players present on it will face stuttering and lag. To play Star Citizen, I would recommend getting 64GB of RAM so you can allocate some resources to streaming it (the game itself takes about 27GB or so as of 3.17). Even so, a lot of high-end CPUs may not get above 30FPS depending on the location (like New Babbage). There is a 5 fps difference and much less stuttering if you run it on an M.2 drive vs your regular SATA SSD. HDDs do not work at all on Star Citizen. Hope this clears things up about what to expect out of it; when it works, it's great, but Star Citizen truly is a broken mess that needs a lot of patience otherwise.
I play Warframe for 4 years I started in my Xbox One I bought a computer just to get better graphics and oh my God it was beautiful I remember we used to do long runs me and my buddies 3 hours plus just killing enemies level 4,000 it was beautiful the bilts that you can make on this game is top of the line I used to love my Mac and my Nova back in those days man it was beautiful I don't know how the game is currently but you should give it a try it's a long journey but it's worth it and when you're done with that journey just let the game go to another game that's all I can tell you guys
Getting into either is overwhelming imo. Already sank way too much time and money into D2 so I'll stay with that. Just the thought of trying to get into Warframe scares me. Guarentee it would be the other way around is I had been playing Warframe for the last 8 years of my life.
Nearly all live service games are like this. It's the curse of a game being around for more than a few years. But in a way that's part of why they're great. It may be a lot to take in and can be overwhelming, but that just means there's so much new things to learn and have fun with.
i think warframes comes in handy when you wanna do some money generation like you can grind things which rich guy was buying for 200 platinums and later on sell it to get platinum . its best when you see grinding and playing actually powers you up and gives you something . also when i played dstiny 2 it kinda give vibes of offline battle royale but in warframe you get each and everything new there is story , there are missions , there is open world and then there is pve stuff you can play
I've never played destiny, and as such cannot speak on its quality in this regard, but warframe has some of the most in depth lore of most games I've played, and the story based cinematics throughout the game are super well done and sometimes emotionally deep. The game has a lot of aspects this video didn't touch on, such as railjack (a spaceship you grind to build and upgrade to do space based missions with dogfights, infiltrating enemy faction ships, etc.), necramechs (battle mechs that you also grind to build and upgrade), archwings (same thing, can be used in space missions and open world areas), and the accompanying archweapons for archwings and necramechs and (after some faction grinding) archguns can be used by your warframes. Again, I can't speak for destiny, but I don't feel this video did warframe enough justice. Yep, it's grindy af, but there's more to do and focus on than This video gave credit for. Oh, there's also clans with clan halls that can be designed, built, and decorated literally however you want. Of course, this also requires lots of grinding for materials, but it's just another aspect this video didn't even touch on. Build your dojo and decorate it up enough and your clan hall may end up being "featured" (like a special shout out on the star chart for every player in the game to see). Clan halls can be visited by other players, you can have obstacle courses for anyone and everyone to enjoy, etc. And then there's fashion framing. Ya, he mention cosmetics, but the customization in warframe is pretty damned extensive. Armor pieces, syandana (back pieces, capes, etc), ephemera (glowy auras etc), skins, color options... there's a reason many say that fashion framing is the true endgame. Can get expensive, but that's what platinum trading is for.
I used to play both, but my Xbox account got hacked in 2017 and I lost destiny, d2, and warframe. I re-downloaded warframe on pc and PS to start over, but D2 Just takes so much time. Definitely want to play it again now.
I personally enjoy both games. However, I noticed that Warframe has a lot steeper of a learning curve. There are so many various mechanics unlike Destiny which is a bit more streamlined. I'd like to say that Warframe is to Path of Exile as Destiny 2 is to Diablo 3/4.
warframe is kinda crazy like that. ive gotten to the point where i can find mod loadouts, and juggle weapons abilities arcanes and ThE cHiLd but it took a long time to get to that point and while later on systems are spaced out in terms of introduction, at the start they just kind of dump a huge ammount of stuff on you without actually explaining it properly. not to mention how you arent likely to actually start the storyline until over a dozen hours in which is its own can of worms
Some of the warframe content you forgot to metion.: football, skateboarding, hunting, fishing, arcade fighting, architecture and decoration, fashion and some of the more mundane things like star cruiser battles and bullying deities
Great video, thanks man, I always looked at Warframe but been stuck in Destiny since D1 (2014), I think it is about time I try something different. ALSO, love that dancing dog you have, hillarious!
Back when Warframe was in the Beta years, I was known as the Zephyr who murdered everything that moved (even when she was supposed to be used for stealth most of the time). Now, I lived for two years in Destiny 2, and all the info I've watched here is exactly the summation. Many unfortunate game choices and decisions Bungie has put players through, but it's hard to hate a game where the mechanics are exciting (not that Warframe isn't exciting, mind you, but I have literally no idea what's going on now since 5 years ago). To each their own, love and respect to both games and players (except the T-baggers and team killers. You know who you are). Cheers for the reviews!
I played warframe for 300 hours I only had one big gripe with the game and that's the wait times for crafting, getting the materials for said crafting, and a dummy slow early to mid game
Anyone starting warframe, I personally recommend picking mag. Her bullet jump picks up nearby items (very useful and a must in the beginning) and her abilities make her a godly frame with borderline unlimited damage scaling magnet bubbles (damage is based on projectiles entering, yours and enemies) and that bubble can also act as a sheild too.
I did not start with Mag, but she is one of my favorite frames now. I tell new players to start with Volt or Mag because at the beginning they will not be powerful and will lack all the mods that make them strong. This will enforce them having to learn their abilities and how they synergize instead of Excal's ability to tank a lot more early on and his easy to use abilities.
@@MyopicFox If you want Mag she can be farmed out pretty early on in all honesty. You could join someone via chat if you don't have it unlocked and farm away.
@@MyopicFox Check your stuff. Might be able to grab a different frame if you get a market coupon. That's how most people get the hard to farm frames like Ash and atlas.
I have 3k hours in d2 not including d1, destiny is a really good game and I’m starting to try warframe, destiny has multiple great aspects such as raids and dungeons incredible story and awesome build crafting. Will update when I have at least 100 hours in warframe
@@KillerAteyu Oh easy, in the top left of the menu there will be a globe icon, click that to enable whatever mode you want, like solo, friends only, invite only or online
Warframe does look pretty neat, and I’m glad to learn more about it! For me, D2’s endgame is having fun with my build and the satisfaction of skill increase with your tools. :) I’d imagine Warframe could be thought of similarly. Keep in mind there was a GamesRadar article for Destiny 2 after they did the Lightfall reveal. The Power system was directly called about and they’re going to be running experiments throughout Lightfall for data. They also mentioned they’d like to eventually get the old content back in the game when they can rewrite it to handle that. I have faith Bungie really wants to make it really good, especially if they want it to last past The Final Shape. Especially with how they’re really showing that they want to improve the new player experience. This, of course, does not invalidate your experiences and I do feel similarly. I understand the technical limitations the game went through once plans changed to not having a D3.
@@abhishekrajesh2300 really your okay with paying for content we already had, im getting sick of it tbh, id much rather pay bungie for something brand new instead of rehashed poop.
The fact that they have to say “collect data to make improvements for things forward” when the game has been out for more than 3 years with tons of paid DLCs and season passes says a lot. They constantly change and go back on decisions they make in the game they “though was good” just to add it back later again. Didn’t they already get rid of everything pre Forsaken and now they’ll be bringing old stuff back again? What backwards thinking is that? Bungie needs to figure out what it’s doing before I would spend more time playing a nowhere as good D1
Both games are difficult to get into but Warframe was always more appealing to me due to its combat and movement. Just be sure to have that wiki up at all times, or have an experienced friend to show you the ropes!
Warframe movement : Run -> Slide -> Bullet Jump -> Aim (gives you aim glide) -> roll (yes you can roll mid-air) & keep the aim glide -> second jump before you land -> aim glide until you land, you will be back into a slide and you can start again
I played both games for quite a while initially. I stopped when I burned out after about the same time. The difference is I keep coming back to D2. Every year Ill play a season or two (3-4 months). I tried going back to Warframe in a similar fashion but I couldnt really get into it again.
As someone who loves and plays both, with thousands of hours in both. Destiny 2's pve build diversity is lacking in comparison to Warframe. But Destiny 2 is also a more premium game overall. Someone made a good point by saying Warframe is like Diablo more so than Destiny. The only real comparison to be made is Sci-fi. Warframe also has more incentive to play more of the game, as resources that you acquire throughout the game always seem to have a use, and there's also trading, making helping new players not be a waste of time, vs Destiny. I mostly play Destiny 2 for the pvp anyway, which is pretty much dead and not really fun to play anyway in Warframe.
I've played very little Destiny(2) compared to Warframe, but what I can say is that Destiny just throws you into the story and has very interesting lore. The only downside other than the tiresome seasonal grind is probably the expansions being paid and the older ones getting sunsetted as you mentioned in your video. It was also easier to understand as at core, it probably comes under the most popular and common genre, FPS. Warframe on the other hand....well lets just say it's not as newbie-friendly as Destiny..... When I first started playing, I really liked the gameplay, the movement and the fact that you are given the choice between gunning down hoards of enemies or being stealthy. But then I started watching videos as I felt as though the only thing going for the game was, the gameplay and finishing the Star Chart. Boy was I wrong.....
I'll save y'all 21 minutes. If you don't have much money and want to play at your own pace and want to play a game where to company cares about their playerbase and listens to it choose warframe. If you have too much time and money to spend, and want to be trapped in an abusive relationship with a company that makes changes Round centred around the bottom half of the playerbase that started playing 1 season ago and haven't played any of the endgame yet go for destiny :)
Destiny Raids are some of the greatest gaming content out there. I used to solo the Crota raid, one of my greatest feats in gaming. But completing the Last Wish raid blew my mind. Especially when you are engaged with the lore.
the lore overall is fking godlike. i also liked the short story about the drifter and his adventure to that icy planet with the things that start hunting in the night. and i like how not everything is explained directly like you're a lil child on papas leg who tell you a goodnight story. its not truely hidden like in the soulsborne serie you can find it nearly everywhere and mostly dont need a wiki. and if you want a good "audiobook" you have "my name is byf" who tell you everything about the story.
Its a shame many people will never get to play the raids. I did a few on D1 and D2. Excellent, but i dont have the time to grind up to the raid then learning it as well.
When I saw that you only had 340 subs I was shocked. This video is really well put together not only in terms of flow but minor things like audio levels sound great. Keep it up and I'm sure the algorithm will bless you soon (Though based on the view count as of now... It looks like it already has)
If you want an expansive world of lore to dive in to destiny is your game, if you love minmaxing and feeling like theres always something to improve choose warframe, both are extremely grindy games i just feel like warframe rewards the grind more and like i said there's always something to grind for, and in terms of lore, warframe has a decent amount, destiny has like 20h worth of lore explanation and even gave a revolver an amazing backstory so I'd say if you're in to that destiny is more emersive Also warframe has some of the nicest movement I've seen in any multiplayer game
One thing you didn't mention is how there aren't really any "legendary" weapons in Warframe, only exotics. What I mean by that is that the legendaries in Destiny are pretty much the same. Oh sure, this revolver is a bit stronger, has a few different rolls, looks different and has a different damage type, but in the end it's pretty much the same (unless it has some interesting perk combo that rewards a specific approach). Exotics on the other hand are always different. Althought I think that in Destiny it's easier to make your build different. With the new aspects and fragments, exotic armors, mods and weapon perks it's easy to chain effects. I made myself recently a glaive that gets reloaded when I throw a granade, kills with it recharge my granade and kills with granade/it increase it's damage. Pair this with a void devour and some "granade kills = energy for X" and you've got yourself a chain. In Warframe you've got a ton of mods, and that's great, but there aren't many that are anything above a stat change. That's not to say you can't experiment. With Harrow being my main frame I often ignore building fire rate/attack speed on weapons in favour of higher DMG because Harrow can buff himself with a big attack speed/fire rate and reload buff. Oh I also made this absolutely terrible decision of using a double Viper riven (rivens are special mods that have randomised effects, tied to one weapon) and made the gun to shoot a literal stream of bullets. It empties it's mag instantly, doesn't work well in higher lvl and eats it's ammo reserves like mad but I smile every time I remember it.
@@Messychimera654 It's you who either doesn't play Warframe or Destiny. Exotics are different from Legendaries because they have some unique feature. Primes on the other hand are simply upgraded versions of other weapons, for the most part. They sometimes get some additions like explosions for Zhuge, but overall they're just upgrades, totally irrelevant to the point I was making.
@@XIIthehangedmanXII the point is the grind and value of them. Mastery to use it and also the rarity of the parts. Legendaries and exotics are worthless when you can just get it easily or make them in the snap of the fingers. I don't see an actual market for the "The Vallahorn" because i can make it within an hour or less but i do see people selling Primes that take 3-6 months to get maybe.(Volt Prime)
Hey everyone, Dylan here. As someone who preordered Destiny 1 & 2 as well as has been an off and on player for Warframe for approximatly 6-10 years. I can say I agree with this video. Warframe is a great game with a ton of story missions that are free however it does take time. Where as destiny is a "pay to play the new stuff until next season". Their is content in destiny; But it keeps revolving out which was a reason I gave up on the game back when I went back to play it a heafty amount. Overall, I like both games but I gotta recommend warframe over destiny. Purely because of how friendly it is to beginners who dont know the story. Hope this comment helps and good luck!
I played both for several years, and this is my conclusion. Destiny has less things to do but they are very fun to do and a lot less repetitive in comparison to Warframe, you can say it's quality over quantity. Warframe on the other hand has a lot of things to do, more stuff to farm, and more complex builds, but it's extremely repetitive, grindy (it will force you to grind for some stuff till you fry your brain), no pvp, and poor activities design, you are going to spend most of your time just killing waves of enemies and dying inside from boredom. Play Destiny if you want to have a fun experience and play Warframe if you are poor and can't afford video games.
I agree with most of this except the last part. I think for some people, even if killing waves of enemies gets repetitive, some people just like to grind and don't mind it that much, especially with all the builds and stuff in WF. And if you're okay with the grind then you can get pretty much whatever you want without paying. Personally I do enjoy Destiny more though.
Seasoned destiny player here, warframe looks good but your description of destiny’s mechanic is very clean and easy for new people to understand! Gonna show my friends who just joined
As a destiny, now warframe player, I would recommend giving it a shot because it can feel alot more laid back and fun rather than destiny, new player experience is a little rough but same goes for destiny too. All in all, both are great games worth trying
This. They are similar, but Bungie is a nono for me since I knew Destiny 1 microtransactions etc got added, cause Bungie were in control of all of that. I thought Activision caused that first. And it even got worse with D2 and Bungie getting indepence again just so they can make a deal with a mobile publisher worth of 50 millions and then selling themselves AGAIN for Sony. Two major publisher relationships (MS and Acti) wasnt enough lol. If ppl love d2 thats fine ofc, however i wont support Bungie ever again.
As someone with 900 hrs in d2, and now 120 hrs in warframe, i can confidently say i enjoy warframe more. Feels less like I’m wasting time with warframe, with the added benefit that i can buy anything i want by trading for platinum instead of buying it. Plus the cost to actually play the game isn’t in the 200s
Just as zanny put it: I like to grind for hours, for armour and weapons that are only slightly better than my current armour and weapons. Destiny 2 is the job, Warframe is the vacation
Warframe is a game where how much time you put in that is how strong you will be for the rest of the game mostly, devs can nerf some metas tho, but if they do you can catch up with the new meta in a couple of days. Also that being said there is very little hand holding in warframe which for some players understandably is a bad thing. I would like to mention that the premium currency (platinum) can be traded for almost every item/mod in the game which helps out with burnout tremendously bcs if you hate a certain mission type or just not in the mood to do it but you really need the mod that the mission drops, you can actually farm other missions that you like and sell the rewards from those for platinum and use that platinum to buy the mod that you didn't want to farm for before.
Also if you get unlucky with a drop there is a ceiling of how long you have to grind, cause you can almost always just sell the random shit you got and buy whatever you targeted
Man i just started warframe after destiny 2 failing to help me come down and withdraw from 8k hours of borderlands 3... warframe will forever be underrated and it blows me away how people who have played thousands of hours are so negative about a game you obviously love or love to hate. Its a free aaa title thats been going since 2013... are you out of your mind? Im asking complainers ... ingrate entitled one tracked minds. Warframe is a gem... a free one mind you.
I played both a lot but I haven’t really touched warframe in a while it really hit me with burn out with the necramech grind I really do not like the reputation system in warframe. also the crafting time but I might go back to it.
The algorithm recommended these video on Auto play while I was doing the dishes and I was getting ready to skip until I saw you are a man of culture you are a grenade launcher enjoyer I myself love how satisfying single bridge launchers are.,I see you brother.
In Warframe, all weapons, Warframes, Vehicles, and Mods are available for freethrough the grind. IN Destiny, a lot of items are locked behind RW Currency.
I switched over to linux recently, and trying to get back into warframe since i use to grind the living shit out of that gaem, and I just forgot how much it has it actually overwhelmed me. Both Destiny and Warframe hold a special place in heart, and i cant really chose one over the other.
This video is pretty well done! There is just two things I would like to add: - As much as I love Warframe, it has basically no endgame and no challenge. Endgame missions feel more like a chore than a challenge. The question in Warframe is never "Will I be able to win this endgame mission?" but rather "How quickly can I get this chore over with?". Even Lv. 9999 enemies (~Lv. 150 enemies are average to come across on steel path) die to a sneeze with the right builds whereas in Destiny you cant even roll over early game enemies in endgame the way you roll over late game enemies in Warframe. - As much as I love Destiny, it does absolutely not respect your wallet. What SonnyD unfortunately didnt bring up (much) is that Destiny's monetization model is absolute ass. Not only did content players paid hundreds of euroes for just get deleted from the game with no compensation, but I find it honestly extremly bold to put microtransactions into a game that is already paid. Warframe is free. Barring TennoGen, you can get absolutely dripped out without paying a single cent. You get content that will keep you busy for thousands of hours for free.
I would play warframe if it had an endgame, everytime i wanna play it i remember that and i lose the urge to grind when its all for nothing at the end of the day.
I play both, i completed destiny, got all exotics and done pretty much everything, warframe ive done all quests and story content but there is still so much more to do in warframe than destiny, i love destiny but after playing warframe i have to place it higher on my list. They are both great games with great play styles but yes warframe just hits that spot for me. The thing they both have is... fashion is everything
for me, Warframe feels like just farming, once you get what you want, it just doesn't feel like there's a want to keep playing. While Destiny is opening it, looking at your ship in orbit half an hour, and then close it
Destiny is better if you commit and has MUCH higher highs. The problem is it is far more predatory and expensive. I would recommend the average player to play warframe just because it’s cheaper
Not played much of destiny 2 but I'm enjoying Warframe. Very friendly community, and a load of content. You need more hand-holding at the beginning though. As soon as you finish the tutorial (which is so easy I can see that being off-putting on its own) you are thrown into a massive universe. So many mechanics to learn; it's overwhelming. Luckily you can play at your own pace.
fair points but I have to say, there is absolutely no other experience in gaming quite like Destiny raides. it requires a lot of investment, and a lot of Destiny's systems are not respectful of player time, but the feeling you get after successfully completing a raid is one of the best feelings I've ever felt in gaming.
@@Blahblahblaafmn I prefer Warframe story because it feels more like a continuing story than multiples tales, unlike Destiny

U know why?? Cause the game is soo chill and casual. Destiny is more so focused on end game(Raids and dungeons) which require teamwork and everyone to be on the same page. Not to mention, with the removal of Red War, there's no campaign that free players can get invested into. Its just do X, receive Y. Why? Shiny stuff.

This is a really well put together point, warframe seems to have a lot more content variety than destiny.
The greatest thing in Warframe IMO is embarking yourself on personal quests to get certain things done. For example, I came back to the game after not playing for months and was checking out the available warframes to pick one that looked cool to me and get it. I ended up picking Xaku and oh boy... in this quest I:
- maxed out Fortuna
- got my own moa
- finally did the orb bosses
- maxed out the entrati and necraloid
- mastered a bunch of weapons and frames I used along my journey, as well as my necramech
- did a bunch of railjack
- finally got to experiment with augment mods and did a cool frost build
- met cool people that helped me and I helped along the way

Now I'm branching out.

I was surprised by the same thing, not talking about the operator around new players is like an untold but omnipresent rule in the Warframe community.

For lich/tenet weapons. there are people on the warhammer 40k side that believe a single warframe is capable of eradicating entire factions of WH40k. thats scary bro
Those synergies and rivens also makes warframe's difficulty a joke (not complaning I'm Mr 30) truly a power fantasy.

Anthem had so much potential 😭😭😭 it just wasn't executed correctly.
I felt the same about destiny. Was never entirely sure whether I was doing the right thing. Found it super boring after a bit
Destiny is the same but more straight forward

Destiny is easier to get into, it almost immediately hooks you into the story
Warframe is more obscure, and you’re likely to be confused for the majority of the story up until the second dream, but as you progress your interests might be peaked
Destiny is a fast game to get into.
Warframe is a slow game at first, but it then speeds up ridiculously fast in the later missions
are you sure that d2 is easy to get into? seems like an absolute nightmare with the main campaigns gone, you're just thrown into the middle of everything
this is one of the reasons I can't recommend it to new players
It may be more obscure but I tried both and ended up with Warframe because they have a better new player experience in my opinion.
@@WraithReaper09 I mean, you can now with witch queen and content moving forward.
The game just has infinite possibilities the only end of it is your own creativity to enjoy it.

warframes whole lore is f2p , as soon as i joined after 40h of gameplay i feel in love with the game , the cominity is helpfull and the games lore is very very good
i just finished the last main quest and it was perfect , i didnt had to pay for anything and i recently made 600 plat by selling primes with a firend, and it felt good
it felt liike in thoase 400h every hour had content and was fun
soo i tried destiny 2 looking for the same amount of fun.... nope :((
im 20h in and the rest of the game is hidden behind dlcs and paywalls
i could spend like 20h more and get more exotics, but it dosent feel the same , the game feels empty , like if it was just a longer demo to make players spend money on the game, ive meet a firend in destiny 2 and it was cool , but most of the fun things that could replicate the fun i had in warframe, are behind paywalls
and now idk if i should buy the dlc and have fun for a little bit more, or just accept that there is no game that could replicate the fun i had with warframe.
im sorry for shitting on destiny 2 , its very good game, my point is that the good part of the game is hidden behind a paywall.
And warframe and all expansions for it are free, no seasonal $10 charge crap.

Peace!
This is not fun fact but whole backstory of game development
Let just put it simple. All the content in warframe is free and will be there forever. All the new content in destiny 2 is expensive af and there are chances for the devs to just delete the content u just bought. Idk why would u want to play destiny 2.

Nearly all live service games are like this. It's the curse of a game being around for more than a few years. But in a way that's part of why they're great. It may be a lot to take in and can be overwhelming, but that just means there's so much new things to learn and have fun with.
I will say you get far more bang for your buck with Warframe than Destiny.
i think warframes comes in handy when you wanna do some money generation like you can grind things which rich guy was buying for 200 platinums and later on sell it to get platinum . its best when you see grinding and playing actually powers you up and gives you something . also when i played dstiny 2 it kinda give vibes of offline battle royale but in warframe you get each and everything new there is story , there are missions , there is open world and then there is pve stuff you can play
I play both, Both are awesome, Each has their cons and pros but they are amazing
I HAVE 2K HOURS IN WARFRAME AND I AM RETURING TO D2 now because wf can be very draining both are very good games with pros and cons
I think it's honestly better to play both. Playing one or the other too much burns people out.
Uhhh lmfaooo
Men you wasn’t known lol we was known we was the richest in chat selling kubrows
See I would play Warframe but I'm stuck with a frame I chose like 2 years ago as my starting one and I couldn't reset so I just stopped playing
Yeah I'll redownload it and try it again
As a destiny player.... pick warframe
I have 3k hours in d2 not including d1, destiny is a really good game and I’m starting to try warframe, destiny has multiple great aspects such as raids and dungeons incredible story and awesome build crafting. Will update when I have at least 100 hours in warframe

Okay I am legit mad that you went through a section about weapons and did not ONCE mention Warframe's MELEE weapons.
You gun nerds are all the same!
Well said but nothing wrong with nerds. We are all nerds be united.
I play both fairly consistently and I love both of them so my recommendations play both but play which ever one you like more the most
TLDR-play through both but grind the one you like more
Well laid out video! Also very clear and concise!!
Warframes story is on another level of sadness and anger.
Did they really say that they would bring the old content back? If so, that's amazing!
Too bad buildcrafting is a shell of its former self ever since Lightfail
Especially when you are engaged with the lore.
the lore overall is fking godlike.
i also liked the short story about the drifter and his adventure to that icy planet with the things that start hunting in the night.
and i like how not everything is explained directly like you're a lil child on papas leg who tell you a goodnight story.
its not truely hidden like in the soulsborne serie
you can find it nearly everywhere and mostly dont need a wiki.
and if you want a good "audiobook" you have "my name is byf" who tell you everything about the story.
It looks like it already has)
This video didn’t age well, destiny 2 self districted and a lot of their players are going to warframe lol
😂 I think it's time for a RE-up for this because I'm deadass when I say the paradime has shifted.
If you want an expansive world of lore to dive in to destiny is your game, if you love minmaxing and feeling like theres always something to improve choose warframe, both are extremely grindy games i just feel like warframe rewards the grind more and like i said there's always something to grind for, and in terms of lore, warframe has a decent amount, destiny has like 20h worth of lore explanation and even gave a revolver an amazing backstory so I'd say if you're in to that destiny is more emersive
Also warframe has some of the nicest movement I've seen in any multiplayer game
I do both and thousands hours in both. I love both as much but for different reasons.
Play both and hop between the two if you get bored of one lol
"Prime weapons" that's warframes exotics
@@Messychimera654
No, not really.
@@XIIthehangedmanXII then you didn't really play Warframe then.
@@Messychimera654
It's you who either doesn't play Warframe or Destiny.
Additionally, while you can pay to win in warframe. Everything can be aquired through the grind.
I've been a D1 and 2 player for quite a while now. You made a convert, sir. Thanks for a much needed and unbiased comparison/contrast.
Lol, thems fighting words, I loved warframe, got bored of destiny
I agree with most of this except the last part. I think for some people, even if killing waves of enemies gets repetitive, some people just like to grind and don't mind it that much, especially with all the builds and stuff in WF. And if you're okay with the grind then you can get pretty much whatever you want without paying.
Personally I do enjoy Destiny more though.
I thought Destiny absolutely stunk when I tried it...and then I found Warframe.
Warframes weapons be like: spear gun exsist
all warframe players: i ignore that.
When you slotted Crash Course onto your acceltra, it physically hurt me.
Get ready for a fun grind if doing with friends and one of the funniest games with other people
One gives its entire content for free
other asks for 200 bucks for 5 hours of content
They are not the same
Dam these 2 games are basically your life
Both games want your wallet overall. Just in Warframe you can wait a little longer before you give it to them. Density wants your money up front
"...and the single best movement mechanic in any game, expect for Titan Fall 2." ah, I see you're a true man of culture.
Warframe has too many positives for me to chose destiny. Although destiny does have good endgame content, bosses etc. etc.
Destiny 2 the game that removes content you've paid for
Unlike destiny warframe doesn't delete old and obviously free content so that you have to pay to get any kind of story
Just as zanny put it:
I like to grind for hours, for armour and weapons that are only slightly better than my current armour and weapons.
Destiny 2 is the job, Warframe is the vacation
warframe is so hard to get really into. I hop on there and instantly have no clue what to do. There is so much that it makes it confusing
I think it was a lot easier than Destiny especially as a new player. Destiny is a mess.
@@EvanMerkes1both the same
Warframe is a game where how much time you put in that is how strong you will be for the rest of the game mostly, devs can nerf some metas tho, but if they do you can catch up with the new meta in a couple of days.
Sorry but I was way lost in destiny than Warframe and the map and UIs are terrible gameplay and armor are sick tho

WARFRAME
This video is pretty well done! There is just two things I would like to add:
- As much as I love Warframe, it has basically no endgame and no challenge.
You get content that will keep you busy for thousands of hours for free.
i am still waiting to see the pros of playing destiny 2
Ive spent hundreds of hours in Warframe and D2. Theyre both great games, play both. THEYRE NOT EVEN THAT SIMILAR, PEOPLE.
For those that don't know, the true end-game of Warframe is Fashion which we called it Fashion Frame...
Just imagine what the baby of these two games would be...
for me, Warframe feels like just farming, once you get what you want, it just doesn't feel like there's a want to keep playing. While Destiny is opening it, looking at your ship in orbit half an hour, and then close it
Destiny is better if you commit and has MUCH higher highs. The problem is it is far more predatory and expensive. I would recommend the average player to play warframe just because it’s cheaper
Absolutely
Destiny gon take al your money just to be able to play it
Not played much of destiny 2 but I'm enjoying Warframe.
