The band you didn't know you needed. Great live band.
Truth!! Saw them here in St Louis with Lukas Nelson in the promise of the real. That was one amazing evening!!
Never heard them before. Impressive.
Indeed...I've seen them 4 times myself
Seen them 3 times and going to see them at the Ryman Saturday!!
Charlie Starr is one of the best guitarists no one has ever heard of. This band always has a deep groove.
For anyone new to Blackberry Smoke I suggest watching "Leave a Scar, Live: North Carolina" it's part Documentary and a full live concert. It really shows how the band formed and their deep Southern roots.
They are the best live band touring! I have been to 13 shows and met them 3 or 4 times. They are all super nice and absolutely are on point every. Single. Show.
Best band in the land
Nice tribute to the Allmans and the late Gregg Allman in this live version. You definitely hear the Allmans, the Skynard and even the Grateful Dead influences in their music and superb musicianship. A band worth seeing live and diving into. They are definitely a throw back to the bands mentioned.
I heard some Marshall Tucker in there as well😂
Saw them a few years ago, their encore was Faeries Wear Boots by Black Sabbath & they killed it 🤟
Southern Rock is not dead...
Saw them twice live. GREAT BAND!!! Give a listen to "No way back from Eden".
I feel for people who don't know of these amazing musicians. Get out and see them live and purchase their music. My wife and I seen them in Cincinnati Ohio for the first time 20 years ago at Easyriders Custom Bike Show. Instant fans for life. RIP Brit Turner founding member and drummer.😎👍
Wow. 20 years ago? You are so lucky! BBS rocks. I was in Athens at OU in '73 -'74. Charlie was born in 1974! Rock on Smoke fans!
The whippoorwill album is a masterpiece from front to back. They have amazing songs on various albums but this album by far front to back is hands down amazing.
I requested this band to you some months back. They are one of the most talented modern bands from Atlanta and Charlie Starr(the Singer) can sing and play just about anything. Enjoy the rabbit hole because it just gets better. I love Charlie's songwriting too, he likes to put in alot of sayings from the old timers(like bury me upside down so the world can kiss my ass). Enjoy!!!
check our Charlie Starr live from Daryl's House, so good!
Charlie and Benji at Eddie's Attic is some good acoustic stuff!!!
@@thorzzz1z
That’s because the best songwriters are from Alabama.
Listen to them play Black Sabbath Fairies Wear Boots! Any song they cover is as good or better than the original!
Rest in peace Brit Turner
Love this band, discovered them about 13 years ago thinking there was no new bands that were doing great southern rock. These boys are great musicians and keeping that southern flavor going. Do a deep dive on them please. They are an exceptional live band, came through here a few times.
Alot of incredible tunes to check out with BLACKBERRY SMOKE !
One terrific group . Absolutely love them …❤❤
Love me some Charlie Starr & Blackberry Smoke
You need this in your life😉
Deep Elem Blues is a must 👂👂
Lots of good songs from these guys!!! Next try "ain't much left of me" or "six ways to Sunday " you won't be disappointed
Great review.....Amazing Band!!!
Blackberry Smile Rocks 💥
First time hearing this song and this band. It will not be the last. Excellent reaction fellas!!! 👌
Me too, will definitely be diving into them Great sound, lyrics., right up my alley!!!!
Blackberry Smoke The Best band You never heard of. 🏞️🏁🌄
Same here!
I'm so glad you both enjoyed listening to this band. They have some pretty good tunes. Here's a live performance, if interested. "Blackberry Smoke - Ain't Much Left Of Me From Southern Ground Studios (Acoustic)" (channel: Blackberry Smoke) --This song is from their third studio album and was released in 2012 through Southern Ground Records. Blackberry Smoke is an American country rock band formed in Atlanta Georgia in 2000 and their members consist of Charlie Starr, Richard Turner, Brit Turner, Pual Jackson and Brandon Still and later on they picked up members Benji Shanks and Preston Holcomb. Enjoyed jamming with you both thanks for sharing.
Love It..! Incredible tune..!
Blackberry Smoke! Carrying On the Southern Rock with Country music 🌄🏁
In case their influences weren't clear, they threw in The Allman Brothers' "Midnight Rider" for good measure...nice!!
Enjoyed this band in concert 3 times so far. They are incredible!
Like the little throw in tribute to the Allman Brothers!
Haha, I thought they were sounding like the Allman Bros then it turns out to be Midnight Rider, lol!! Love it.
More…just more!
YES! Taking my girlfriend and my 17 year old daughter to see them for the first time in February!
Ah ha... a version something I've never heard.... Way to go guys... fantastic choice....
Just some good ol southern Rock-n-Roll
I met these cats years ago in Atlanta. They were playing at Fat Matt's Rib Shack. Great band and exceptional Southern gentlemen. I seen them multiple times in SoCal. They have NEVER DISAPPOINTED. Y'all have the best reaction channel out there. Keep it up!
BBS reaction! These guys are great, great reaction.
Just got tickets to see them AGAIN! So excited.
Never heard them before, and love this record. Thanks for showing me something new.
The song is from about 10 years ago and perhaps one of the best they've done. Charlie Starr sings it at every single concert! Blackberry Smoke rocks!
I saw them live a couple of years ago. They put on a great show. Brit Turner drummer age 57 passed away March 3rd 2024 from brain Cancer.
They are like a cross between the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd
Oh, man...y'all are about to go down a serious rabbit hole! BBS is one of the top live bands on the planet, and have a ton of killer tunes!
😎Alright now! Nice tributes to their heroes.
Glad to see you finally made it to the Smoke!!
Oh you really need to go down into the BBS rabbit hole. Saw them just two days ago. Straight fire! These guys are awesome
Great song they paid honors to the alman brothers band there it was good
Great live performance and super cool dudes! Get healthy Brent!!!
🙏🏻
Best band performing these days. My hometown boys (Smyrna, Ga.) done good! Charlie Star is the lead singer and the lead guitar player.
Don't count out the great Paul Jackson. He also plays some lead guitar. This band is awesome! I saw them live 6 times.
@@markhaus2830 And Benjie Shanks is a great addition as well.
There coming to Springfield Missouri March 3rd. Great Band. Carrying On the Southern Rock with Country music 🌄.
Nothing better than a blues based band,
Been to a few shows or theirs. Good times every time. They attract a solid group of people to their live shows.
This band is a sleeper. You won't find them on the radio. Seen them 3 times and every one was fire! Charlie Star is the MAN!
Just saw them for the first time this past summer. Great show!
Great Band. I've seen these guys once. They do a great cover of a Charlie Daniels song " Trudy"
Great Band 👍🏽THE BEST COVER BAND EVER " classic Vinyl "
Charlie Star is a fantastic guitar player 😮
George Thorogood ~ "ONE BOURBON ONE SCOTCH ONE BEER"....!
You guys are going to LOVE this one...!
Real country !! Today's mainstream country is mainstream pop with a southern drawl. Blackberry Smoke is the real deal.
Blackberry
Blackberry Smoke . The Best Band you never Heard of. Try 6 Ways to Sunday 🐴🌄🦌
LOL I wonder how many fight challenges he got after this song. Some people just got to try you. This is a check he's writing for all to hear. Love it.😎
Solid “southern rock” band. Saw them about 12 years ago when they opened up for the Zac Brown Band and they were great!
Ain’t Much Left of Me Live from Farm Aid is a great song and video.
Brother Brit Turner on the drums. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he’s battling Gioblastoma😞
An amazing band both on record and live. Seen them 5 times now and seeing them again next year when they tour the UK again
One of the few "newer bands" i really like
Got a lot of great songs
Love this band. I have seen them once and can't wait to catch them again. Their album A Little Bit of Dixie would be great for an album review. The song Free on the Wing has Gregg Allman sharing vocals duties with Charlie Starr.
Holy WoW!!! Who the heck are these guys!?!? Whoa ha freakin **Amazing** never even heard this name before whew man **Thank YOU** for putting me onto THIS! **PixieTwirls** **RockON!!!** **Edit** Oh tho that part with the **Midnight Rider** sounded familiar hmm
Came across these guys a couple months ago very good band
First time hearing Them....thought wow they're real good. I then started thinking they sound like the Allman Bros, then Midnight Rider....so good!
Great band! Their live performances are amazing. Charlie Starr is a fantastic guitarist, and the whole band is tremendously talented.
♥️✌🏼😎
I only found out about these guys in the last year or so! They're really good but I haven't dove deeper, so thanks for this!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You Dudes are on it big time, these guys are legit
These boys have some catalog
Cool mello tune Laa and Chee! Thanks for spinning it.
I've flown twice from Paris, France to Portland, Oregon to see Blackberry Smoke. Seen them twice in Paris and once in Antwerp. Coming up Sept. 24 in Brussels and Paris. Do what it takes, get yourself to a live show. Brilliant rock 'n roll band with country, bluegrass influences. Dance on the table, stand up, clap your hands and stomp your feet music! Nice review Airplay Beats. New album out mid-Feb. 2024 and there is not one song on any single album they've done this not good. 1000% band. Charlie Starr is the lead singer; Brit Turner on drums, Richard Turner on bass, Brandon Still on keyboards, Paul Jackson on guitar and singer are the "big" 5. Benji Shanks on guitar and on Percussion Preston Holcomb joined them to make it 7. Outstanding band.
😎I heard Acoustic piano (samples?) Fender Rhodes and Hammond Organ at the end.
Saw them Homecoming 2022 at the FOX in Atlanta. Great show!
Blackberry Smoke is the best band in the land. You now have been smoked
Groove always rocks
Now do Black Stone Cherry - they toured with blackberry smoke back a few years ago and they're from my area. Just hometown rock and roll southern style! Peace!
I like em ,cool guitar player 🎸👍🏽✌️
Don't know much from them, but "Ain't Much Left Of Me" is THE SHIT...!!!
"The devil's chasing me" (live)
REVEREND HORTON HEAT
Great band for over 20 years now. New album coming out in Feb!
BBS & Black Crowes: two bluesy bands from Georgia, my home. Trust you enjoyed. BBS even put out a record honoring Georgia’s music legacy. See if you find the videos recorded at Capricorn Studios for “Keep On Smiling” or “Grits Ain’t Groceries.”
Chris Robinson from the black crowes suggested the name blackberry smoke for them🎸
WHIPPOORWILL.
I've been listening to BBS for 10 yrs. or more now and just got tickets to see them for the 3rd time. Can't wait!!
Caught them last summer in Wilmington, NC. Did it up right!
Excellent choice brothers . Try to start with there early stuff like Son of a Bourbon and go from there. They’ve been around a long time.
Many albums to choose from with numerous great songs. One of the best live concerts to attend if they are ever in your area. Heck people drive many miles to attend, especially to Maryville, TN at the Shed. It's usually a 2 night gig...the brother and sisters tour. Good times.🔥
Re-listening. The musical clip must be from a live show; My CD does not have the interlude. But hey, thanks again and RIP Brit Turner 3 March 2024, the band's drummer.
Watching Them Continue To Mature As Songwriters, And To Keep The Sound Clean And Powerful Without A Lot Of Etraneous NOODLING AND BEAT Around The Bush Lyrics. They,ve Watched The Govt Mules And Lynyrd SKYNYRD ( JVZ Version) Do It Among Others.. Seen Them Open For Skynyrd In Columbus In 2006!!..😎✌
One horse town
Did anyone catch the Billy Gibbons riffs ???
Love these guys! Would also love to see you guys react to - Joe Bonamasa and Beth Hart - I’ll take care of you!!! Please guys
I have it saved to our list for you.
Are you guys psychic or something. Again outta nowhere you pull a random band I thought should hear. Crazy. lol I
Finally getting to this band and Out of all the bangers on this album how do we land on this one? What’s wrong with the requestors? I’m disappointed.
Glad they liked it but not the best intro to this band.
Ass whoopin' music.
Yo, La!!🤦🤦 C'mon, man!!!! An Organ IS a keyboard! (What is WRONG wit'chu, here?!)🤦🙄🙄
...and, I recognize that neither of you may have the experience necessary to hear the musical references (right around where you guys stop @ 8:16-8:17 into THIS video ---NOT "into the song," per se---) made, here, but, yes: there are musical references/"tributes" (🤷🤷) made to Gregg Allman and the Allman Brothers Band, beginning at the point I just mentioned, above, with a musical and lyrical quotation from The Allmans'/Gregg's song "Midnight Rider" .... 💕💖
They are a great band. This was from their live album recorded in North Carolina. It’s an old concert but there is plenty of new footage. You can this performance below
