My favprite band for the last 24 years. They have just lost their amazing drummer to cancer, RIP Brit Turner.

Blackberry Smoke is one, if not the best live touring band right now. They play 200+ shows a year. I've seen them 13 times and they are on point every single time.

So sad to see so many saying they've never heard of this band. They've been around a long time and have toured with the likes of Lynard Skynard and the Almond Brothers. They do both southern rock and country, though I'm sure Charlie Starr (the lead singer) can sing anything he wants. For some more of their sound, try Ain't Much Left of Me, Good One Coming On, Everybody Knows She's Mine, Pretty Little Lie, Six Ways to Sunday, Shaking Hands with the Holy Ghost.

BB Smoke is just one of the greatest bands out there imo. Ain't Much Left Of Me is a great acoustic one too

According to Charlie they are a rock band who happens to play some country music. They are influenced by the Stones, Aerosmith, Led Zep, Allmans, Skynyrd. They have become more rock as they have evolved in the past 20 years but usually include a couple country songs on each album

"Ain't Much Left of Me" is another great song from them. I favor their acoustic renditions.
"Sunrise In Texas Again" is another good one. That one's not acoustic. I may have gotten the title slightly incorrect, but it's something along those lines.

I've been listening to country music since the 1950s and can't recall ever hearing of this band. They are really good.

They are self promoted so they don’t get much radio airplay. But they have a huge following especially in Brazil. Sunrise in Texas is one of my favourites, a rough and dirty sounding country song with a great solo near the outro.

I'm one of those people that only just discovered Blackberry Smoke little over a year ago I don't know how but I've always listened to Southern Rock and Country and rock in general. This is one hell of a smoking band. One of the best performances on RUclips is Liv from North Carolina it includes interviews is really phenomenal a lot of the live stuff is done venues perhaps earlier years where it just wasn't a lot of money in there wasn't good recording these guys are fantastic been around touring for about 22 years now

The band was named by Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes. His first suggestion, Sweatpants Boner, was voted down.😂

I grew up in a one horse town, and was expected to follow my Dad into the union. I didn't. I became a longhaul truck driver, and eventually moved out of state entirely.

@@vanlife8122 fans are changing since BBS has received more national attention, no doubt. My favorite venues don't have rows, hope I see you at one and can introduce you to the old school fans. The real brothers and sisters that live to get new fans to have a great time. 23 years and counting for me, at venues from GA to TX, and throughout the Midwest. Just enjoy them how you want. The music says it all.

Blackberry Smoke is more of a southern rock band than anything. Some of there songs tend to lean more country though.

I discovered them only a couple of years ago. Immediately fell in love with their stuff, which is saying something, since I'm picky.
I would consider them more of a southern rock type. They give me a strong Lynyrd Skynyrd feel.. Though they have done a collab with Jamey Johnson and George Jones, doing a cover of a George Jones and Merle Haggard classic called "Yesterday's Wine." It's pretty great too.
