Blackberry Smoke is ALWAYS ON TOUR! I've seen them quite a few times over the years, they got a strong, dedicated following.
Jimmy Hall at 70 years old at the time of this show was the lead singer of Wet Willie from way back in the day still sounds as good as ever.
Top 10 hit for Wet Willie in late 70’s. Jimmy Hall the lead singer and best damn harmonica and sax player too! Song done in one take! Y’all need to check out Grits Ain’t Groceries video from the same album. Also done in one take! Would love to see y’all review that! You’d love it!
Oh, Blackberry Smoke!!! I've been HOPING someone would react to them!! If you revisit them, please listen to "ONE HORSE TOWN". So good! 🙂
These guys have been the opening act on so many tours. They are really good and I hope people starting realizing it.
We love BBS! We are going to see them next month for the third time. If you enjoy the ole southern rock, you will love these guys!
The two ladies are the Black Bettys. They sing with BBS every time we seen them.
I've seen them live twice, both in Seattle. Amazing artists!
digital very good job on this song the original artist who went by the name of wet Willie
@@charlestillie243 the guy singing was the singer for Wet Willie.
Blackberry smoke is one hell of a band! One horse town is a must.🤘
Great reaction! Great band! More Blackberry Smoke y'all!
Jimmy Hall’s band Wet Willie did this in the 1970’s. This is one song covered on a BBS EP originally recorded at Capricorn Studios in Macon GA. All of them are Awesome. bBS is my fav and I see them if they are within 200of home. Greatest live band I’ve seen. Well done .
This song reached #10 in 1974 for Wet Willie. The guy singing and playing the harmonica is Jimmy Hall who was the lead singer for Wet Willie. The guy to his right with the killer sideburns is the usual lead singer for BBS. 👍👍
Yes, this is a collaboration with Jimmy Hall, the original artist from Wet Willie, taking lead vocals. Great song, but you really don’t know BlackBerry Smoke and Charlie Starr til you do one of their hits.
I love BlackBerry smoke. I've seen them perform a few times.
This song was originally done by a band called, Wet Willie, which was started in 1969 in Mobile, Alabama by brothers, Jimmy & Jack Hall. The song came out in 1974 on their third studio album & reached #10 on the Billboard Top 100. They had fairly decent success during the 1970s. Blackberry Smoke asked Jimmy Hall (the original singer of the song) if he would sing on their remake of the song as a guest artist, Jimmy said there’s no way he could refuse. So Jimmy Hall & Blackberry Smoke got together in their studio in Macon, Georgia & did the song & video. It is still a great song even after 49 years.
Mobile's own Wet Willie. Got invited to a after party at the Hall brothers parents house. Thanks to a friend who's father worked with their dad for a hardware company.
@@robbierobinson3966 👍👌✌️
Good job y'all, Blackberry Smoke- Ain't Much Left of Me is very good also
YAAAASSSSS! FINALLY some Blackberry Smoke! Their WHOLE album, Whipporwill, is one of the best on the planet. No cap!
Blackberry Smoke ~ "AIN'T MUCH LEFT OF ME" Is the Sh!t...!!!
Blackberry Smoke, Live In The Backyard-One Horse Town.
My favorite band!!! Blackberry Smoke is amazing and even better in person!!!!
One horse town, Pretty lie, and Ain't much left of me are great songs by them.
"Medicate my Mind"! 👋😏
Thanks guys! I had forgotten just how much I love this old "Wet Willie" song! They Killed it!❤️💯😏
Glad someone is finally reacting to this Band and they are good
Blackberry Smoke - Ain't Much Left Of Me from Southern Ground Studios (Acoustic)👍👍👍👍👍
I used to go see these guys when i lived in Atlanta, they were playing small venues around Georgia. I was privileged to be able to hang out a few times after the shows and had drinks with them a couple times. Super cool guys. Now they are big and travel the world but stayed humble. They started as a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band before making their own music
Blackberry smoke is very much keeping southern rock alive. This is a cover of a 1970s Wet Wille song. The singer here was the singer in Wet Willie. Saw Blackberry Smoke live for the first time a month ago. Wow, they blew us away! Hey Delilah or Good one coming on are also great songs to react to.
Seen them live in th UK five times now. Always awesome. Love this band. Should be huge, so good
Yes, was a wet willie cover, kind of. Jimmy Hall was the lead singer of wet willie. This updated version with blackberry smoke just puts it through the roof! Can't help but feel great when listening to this version! Start to finish, it takes you all the way!
Never heard of this band before, thank you Asia & BJ for making that happen! they were great!!!
Seen them live....great performance
I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy Hall he has off the chart talent and can play any instrument like he was born with it .
Saw these guys in concert in Atlanta couple years ago. Go see them. You won't be disappointed.
i all ways like this song i cant beleve im t in my 70s like he is where did the years go
Blackberry Smoke
One Horse Town
Ain't Much Left Of Me
Of course, Wet Willie did the song first. This version is sounding fine! Little tough rolling with the changes today, SO, this song is providential !! Thank you! Well, I got a smile on my face now!!!
Couldn’t resmember who did this originally. Thx. Have to say this is a very good remake.
Jimmy hall was in wet willie
This dude, Blew my BRAIN😊
You go Jimmy Hall with your harmonica❤ great memories
A feel good song that just makes you happy. Plus the vocals are outstanding.
Wow never thought you guys would do my favorite band Blackberry Smoke. Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie was featured on this one. But you should react to more of Blackberry Smoke and their lead vocalist Charlie Starr. All BBS fans are brothers and sisters
They are out of Atlanta a great band. Jimmy Hall has been around forever with an old band called Wet Willy check them out too
It's mostly an old almost motown sound, that brothers of color were doing in the 70's. I was stationed at Sheppard AFB in 81 and we had a bar dedicated to basically motown. Loved it. My roommate and I were called salt and pepper, but we had great times, listening to all of the blues and motown. 😊😊😊
My husband and I are HUGE Blackberry Smoke fans. We go to as many concerts as we can.
I haven't heard a Blackberry Smoke song that I don't like.
I highly recommend that you check out all of their albums.
Love your reaction videos. ✌️
Love these guys. Keeping Southern Rock alive and they do it very well.
My boys have been around since 2000. Jimmy Hall been rocking since the 70's!
What a great band! Definitely underrated!
Wet Willie did the original version of this song almost 5o years ago with the man who is singing here, Jimmy Hall, check it out. Blackberry Smoke is an awesome band as well!
Definitely listen to just Blackberry Smoke!! This is a duet!!!
This one so darn good that I came back to rewatch it!❤
This is Blackberry Smoke but the guy singing is Jimmy Hall from lead singer for Wet Willie. He first recorded and released this song in 1974.
You must check out their signature song "One Horse Town ". Digging The Smoke.
Jimmy Hall's 71 Years old doing the Lead on this one! Former Wet Willie Lead singer! Awesome is IMHO how this song is!
Blackberry smoke is amazing!! Aint much left of me is a great song to
Great pick guys Black Berry Smoke is a great band
Went to HS with the Turner brothers, hung with them, Charlie and Paul for a short bit around the metro ATL scene in the late 90’s. Was the last concert i attended. Was like an 70’s-80’s Campbell High reunion at the Tabernacle. Great bunch of guys!
Brit Turner is one of my most favorite people on the planet. Such a kind person.
L' Anima che sorride sempre. ROCK"N"ROLL forever...
God bless u 😅🎉❤❤❤
Another great BBS song you NEED to review is their live version of, in constant sorrow. A little over 9 minutes of great jamming. You will absolutley love this song. Look it up on you tube. You will be glad you did!
Ain’t Much Left Live from Farm Aid is a GREAT song. Love Blackberry Smoke.
I Love You Guys.....Killer Reaction...Killer Song....Keep On Rockin' !!!
Amazing cover by a kickass band…
Time to hear the original:
Wet Willie - Keep on Smilin’
Blackberry Smoke: One Horse Town.....this is a Smoke original.......thanks for all you do Asia and BJ
Jimmy Hall from Wet Willie. First band I saw back in the 1970's. Checkout " That's alright" by Wet Willie...😊
Oh, man...BBS is arguably the best live band in America right now. This southern rock band is deserving of being mentioned in the same breath with Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker... They are AMAZING live! So many great songs...check out "Ain't Much Left of Me," "Run Away From it All," "Sleeping Dogs," "Waiting for the Thunder," "Good One Coming On," "One Horse Town," "Ain't Got the Blues..." And so many more great songs!! Make sure to listen to the live versions! I guarantee if you begin this deep dive, you will NOT be disappointed!!
You have to check out their song One Horse Town
Again, this was originally written & performed by Wet Willie. Another WW song, “Lucy was in Trouble” great tune too
Yea Blackberry Smoke is fire. Asia loves the acoustic, try One Horse Town backyard edition. I love Sunrise in Texas as deeper track.
The back up singers tour with the band a lot they are well known too I believe they are sisters great voices.
Finally some Smoke!! You'll love Six Ways to Sunday.
Great song 🎵.... yall check out Wet Willie's version from the 70s 😅
Love it
Blackberry Smoke is awesome! Next: one horse town , pretty little liar, ain’t too much left me!
it came out in 1974....lol...it took a few years for it to filter down to my reality, remember no internet back then!
What a Great Song....!!!
They be good to see in a concert
I’m only here because of wanting to see your reaction to Blackberry Smoke. I’ve seen them over 20 times in concert. I suggest reacting to their song Up in Smoke. Just subscribed. ❤️
Blackberry Smoke is the best band on the road! Jimmy Hall is a legend. But huge shoutout to the beautiful and talented Sherita and Sherie Murphy AKA The Black Betty’s who always take this band over the top with those incredible voices.
this song was out probably about the time yall were born I am guessing! Was good then and is good now, ones perspectives just change as ya get older but you still get it! And, ya gotta keep on Smiling!
Love this song - puts you in a good mood☺Thanks so much guys for reacting to this funky, fun tune!🧡
Please do more of these guys!!
.. Check out the original Wet Willie version and anything else by them and Blackberry Smoke I went to see Blackberry a few years back ,they are a great band .
Blackberry Smoke did a great song with Gregg Allman also called Free on the Wing.
I first heard of Blackberry Smoke about 15 years ago. The article said they were the New Lynyrd Skynyrd and They are Probably Best new Southern Rock Band along with Whiskey Myers Check Them Out!!
Blackberry Smoke! Finally 👍
Eu AMO essa banda!! Show!
This is primarily Jimmy hall with black Berry smoke. But you really need to check out black Berry smoke, and we should thank them. They put Jimmy back out there in the spot. Light for a few songs. Who's actually a couple others with him
Guys-- dive in with Blackberry Smoke. They are the greatest example of keeping Southern Rock alive in these current times. They've been around for about 20 years now, tho. Great band with tons of great tunes! Regards, T
The singer is Jimmy Hall from Wet Willie.
You have not heard Blackberry Smoke yet.
I hope you will seek them out.
It is well worth the effort!!!!
The singer Jimmy Hall used to be the lead singer for for a blues band by the name of wet willy. They used to play in my Highway 90' Blues Club in Mobile Alabama. In the late sixties and early seventies. Jimmy Halls from Birmingham Alabama. He's been a feature singer with Blackberry Smoke Jeff Beck and many other groups. Since his band Wet Willie disbanded in 1980. I still have my Highway 90 Blues Club in Mobile. BB King has been here and many other Blues greats and we still have some great blues bands. You should try to make it here. For the weekend before the 4th of July this year. There's chatter that just Maybe Joe Bonamassa. May sneak in. We have a great house Blues Band. You're welcome
Jimmy was the lead singer of Wet Willie, y’all ought to react to “Weekend” by them, a real feel-good song.
I'm from Mobile. I remember Wet Willie
The moral of the song is to stay optimistic instead of pessimistic no matter what.
An original Jimmy Hall, Wet Willie 70s Song!
At the time of this comment only 359 'Thumbs up' ... come on folks! This is authentic, real music right here. Don't get any better no matter what genre. AAAAA+++++
I don't know if you guys know it or not but that song is actually a Wet Willie song and the guy playing the harmonica is Mr. Wet Willie himself Jimmy Hall, it is not a Blackberry Smoke song, it's a cover and it is good but if you want to hear some really good music listen to some of their stuff such as One Horse Town or Not Much Left to Me and many others. If you have not dug in deeper to them already, you're in for a nice surprise as this is one of the best bands alive today in the United States.
Great choice... thanks!
You're welcome!
That's Jimmy Hall of the band Wet Willie. That's who you should check out. Try "Grits ain't Groceries" or "Airport" for starters.
Blackberry Smoke is great! Check out Pretty Little Lie. We saw them in a small venue in Green Bay, WI a few years ago. Fabulous!
That's not just a song that's an event!!!
Turn it UP!!😊
Crank it up and tear off the knobs!!
If you haven’t yet, react to Blackberry Smoke with Jimmy Hall doing Wet Willies song “Grits Ain’t Groceries” 🔥
Jimmy Hall is awesome all by himself, but BBS is to die for imo..The Black Bettie's..awesome😍
That's very smoke. I guess about 25 years now. They are kind of the voice of Southern rock. These days give me all the great Jimmy hall. Of what will a fame back in the 70s? This was originally Is wet willie song jimmy hall wet willie synonymous
One horse town.prettyittle lies are awsome
Check out “I’ll Keep Ramblin” by BlackBerry Smoke with Robert Randolph… it’s a burner. It’s like you’re being taken to church!
Wet Willie Gold! Go back and listen to the original. They nailed this one! Blackberry Smoke does more great covers of some of the best songs from the Classic Era, plus their own catalog rips. Try their live performance of the Charlie Daniels song, “Trudy On The Telephone” (or Trudy). It’s story hits your home city too. Big D, and New Orleans.🤘😎
Jimmy Hall Rocks y'all !! 🤘🏻✌🏻
