It's about time someone reacted to Wet Willie. Awesome Southern Rock band. I don't think they ever got enough recognition. Here in Tennessee we loved us some Wet Willie.
Here in Nashville we still love us some Jimmy Hall who's always playing at some Club somewhere here.
After this(finally) could "If you want to get to heaven" or "Champagne Jam" be far behind? Southern Rock gems.
Love 'em in jersey too !
Just loved their song Weekend
I heard this song for the very first time today
I have lived with chronic pain for30yrs.Days i feel like giving up but i turn on the Music.I smile thru the pain and IReally Have To Use My Imagination cuz pain can shake You Up and Make You A Believer Believer!!
One of the best groups ever !!! And Jimmy Halls is still going strong!!
Finally!!! I've been requesting this to anyone that would listen! Thank you!
Took me back. It's worth being old now to have been young then.
Jimmy Hall, the hardest working man on Capricorn Records. There's video of them from 1973 live in Macon Ga. that shows just how energetic they were.
What you gotta do. Keep on smiling. Loved it in 1972. And today.
I have always loved this song ❤️👍
Love It! You guys Keep Me Smiling :) Keep On Rockin'
Some days it's getting harder to smile.
Ahhh....Wet Willie....One of my very favorite old school Southern Rock bands..Jimmy Hall is a great singer...Keep On Smilin', Grits Ain't Groceries, Weekend, Street Corner Serenade, Shout Bamalama, and Everything That Cha Do....Really good live, as well
One of my favorite songs.
This song is personal to me. My uncle was a drummer and overdosed. They sent flowers into the shape of drums 🤘
@Jackie....my brother is a drummer, they are a breed all their own 😎 🎶🎵
So sorry for your loss 💚
This is personal to me, as well. My late husband had MS and spent the last 4 years of his life in a nursing facility when it became too much for me to care for him. He was a big fan of Wet Willie and every day I would call him and play this song and some others that were special to us, over the phone for him. He's been gone 9 years, our anniversary is on Veteran's Day.
I wore this song out on my 8 track player in 1974.
Yes yes yes wet willie!
This group was one of the best keept secret in tn back in the 80s for us all in nashville (oneforthesun) on prist lake
Omg yes yall reacted to it! I love y'all ❤ 😍
You guys are cool. I'm from Baltimore. See your "0" hat. My wife worked for Orioles owner Peter Angelos 27 years. Before passing.
Frickin' LOVE this 🎶🎵
Take me back to the good days of being young.
This old YT vid came up in my feed. Pick the category Boomers had the best music. It’s timeless and so varied. Evolutionary revolutionary, connecting. We came up with Motown for Christ sake
❤️
Love this. It was a friends favorite song. He was killed in a bad car wreck.
I've lived in Nashville, TN for years, but this takes me back to my Macon, Ga hometown days......
Your Shawn & Mel sign looks beautiful
Love this song many Memories
Ya'll about the have Church on this one.
You gotta love a song that tells you keep being positive no matter what happens in life. Another suggestion from this band is "Grits Ain't Groceries", another song whose lyrics talk about human issues. Thanks
Here is a wild one Kathy McDonald "Insane Asylum".
The great Jimmy Hall used to tour with him and force on his own and not too long ago I guess about a year or so ago Jimmy Hall recorded that song again with the group Blackberry Smoke and with his backup singer two girls to Black Betty's awesome
You should listen to Street Corner serenade! By them
Oh nice
Jimmy Hall was Hank Jr.s harp player for over 30 years.
Studio version is much better. Another great southern rock band.
You just gotta hear Wet Willy sing in Street Corner Serenade.
Please listen to the original soundtrack
Street corner serenade gotta be next!
Southern Rock = Soul
JIMMY HALL!!!
Get some Bob Seger Night Moves
Look up the recent version with Blackberry Smoke. It will have you dancing round the house like mad people. I am also in love with the backing singers but that's not important right now. 😂😂
Can you please react to Lee Michaels You know what I mean, from around the same time as this.
Watch Former President Ronald Reagan narrating "Star Spangled Banner as you never heard it" do it without crying.
Ive known/loved this song since the 70s, never knew the singer was a white boy!
How about reacting to another , totally different song with the same title, sung by James Lloyd.
Very underrated band. I saw them in San Fran back in the mid 70s and they were great. When you get a chance may I suggest "Everything That 'Cha Do (Will Come Back To You)". ruclips.net/video/7BHDB_cpPnY/видео.html
Studio Version is much better !
I'd just like to say, you really are pushing the envelope but, you're also doing yourself a disservice when going straight to a live performance when you don't know the group. I think you'll find that you 'll be disappointed, or at least, less happy with some performances you see, if and when you watch the Official Music Videos or listen to the audio version first. I'd even bet that you'll step away from some artists if you see their live performances first, because many can't reproduce the magic of the studio versions, or the personnel has changed, or they speed the song up too much. I know it's hard to get the studio version through YT, but there are SOOOO many reasons not to watch the live version on your first go.
Now, there ARE some groups that not only sound as good live, but sometimes sound much better, and you might get a better and/or expanded solo, but it still is risky.
I suggest you both listen to a good studio version. This is nowhere near as good!😀
