What a great song! All of this song applies to my husband and me. Marriages can have rough times and then get over them and fall more in love than ever. I'm sitting here missing my husband, who passed away almost four years ago after 49 years of marriage. Thank you for playing this song.
Orleans were a pop rock band & had their biggest hits in the 70's with "Dance With Me", "Still The One", "Love Takes Time", "Let There Be Music" & "Reach".
Shit, I thought that was Steely Dan...
This is the kind of song that just makes you happy!
This song never gets old no matter how many times
I listen to it.
Loved it. Thank God for the beautiful women in our lives.
This is me and my husband's song. We celebrated our 50th anniversary last November and he's Still The One!!!!
Missed you two so much! Happy to see you and hear the tunes!
I remember when this song was released and it was used as the ABC tv channel jingle 🇨🇦❤️
Another awesome song from my childhood! I love that y'all have delved into a lot of the older songs. Good music baby!
So happy you’re enjoying the music Lady😀
Just love this song!! When it came out back in the 70's, my wife and I would say the same thing you guys said! And Mel you got it right, even though you have ups and downs your mate is "still the one"! And yes, my wife and I are still having fun!!😀 A couple of other songs by Orleans to react to are Love Takes Time and Dance With Me. Also I'd like to suggest another song from back then called I Can Understand It by New Birth. It's a great vibe and we partied hard to it!🎵🎶 Thanks guys!! Really enjoy your reactions!❤
Always liked this band and this song fits the both of you very well. They also sound a the sound put out by Elvin Bishop..:) Keep up with the fun kids...:)
It's like, No one gets along ALL the time, but she's still the one he wants to grow old together with. Great message.
I love this song!!!! This is my parents song and they will be married 49 years this year 🥰🥰
Wow! Best wishes to you and your family. Congratulations to your parents ❤️❤️🇨🇦
the year my dad died my parents would have been married 50 years
The group's name evolved from the music it was playing at the time of their formation, which was inspired by Louisiana artists such as Allen Toussaint and the Neville Brothers.
Great memories!! So many catchy songs in 70s!! Try a song called Chuck E's in Love by Rickie Lee Jones...actually any song off her first album is amazing and all so different from each other...glad you're back guys!
The group is from New York. They just liked the New Orleans music vibe and took the name. John Hall was actually a congressman for the 19th district of New York for a couple of terms...
Shawn and Mel, your love for each order shines more and more with each reaction. Sending positive vibes, virtual hugs and straight out love to you❤️❤️🇨🇦
Ooh my, haven't heard this since high-school in the 70's!! Thank you for your reactions because it takes me back!! And Too remember good times.. thank you Shaun
And Mel❤🎵🎶🎤
Oh yeah baby love this song 💕
My husband and I were teenagers when we married. That was 50 years ago…and he is still the one. ❤️
This song was so crazy popular when it was released!! It quickly became my favorite song for the longest time. It's such a cute love song! It just makes you HAPPY!!
I have been WAITING for this to come your way. ♥️ It fits you two...Happy Anniversary 😘 Perfect timing.
One of those genuine happy songs that cuts through generations to come
Also, "Dance With Me." Two all-time 70'a timeless classics.
Orleans has a lot of feel good songs!
Many thumbs up for this one! Here we go again, turning back time for me. Thank you.
So glad to see you both back. You've been missed! Great song choice today! You're still the one for us! Blessings!
ABC theme song back in the day! ❤
Exactly... you can love each other deeply but still have times when you don't like each other very much... but that's just a temporary situation then the love comes back. That's what it's all about, going through those occasional lows and getting back to the highs.
Try their songs "Dance With Me" and "Love Takes Time" next.
Ha ha ha!! Yes Shawn!! That's right, Mel! There was a time when Orleans showcased that dual guitar sound of Allman Bros etc. And they were good!! Now, since 1975, Me and Millie have been together and we still been having fun! Orleans used to play at a wonderful place called Opus 40 near Saugerties, NY every Labor Day weekend! Talk about a rockin' time! Thank you so much and it is indeed good to be seeing your reactions again! PS, another great Orleans song is "Dance With Me". You would dig it.
This is one of our songs. We are celebrating 42 years of marriage today and he is definitely still the one !! Love your reactions!!
I remember this track as one of those "sing-along" songs... Very catchy, indeed 😁👍🏼
I knew you guys would enjoy this, your love for each other speaks volumes.
Great reaction as usual.
Mel, PLEASE take care of that marvelous voice. It gives me chills.
Shawn you are not only a great reactor but a loving and respectful husband.
You are both too d%$=÷ lucky to have each other.
You guys are so much fun. Just love hanging out to your reactions. Love this song.
Glad y'all are back, don't you love the 70s, it was the best time to be a teenager 💖
one of the 3 TV networks back in the day later in the 1980's used this song chorus to promote the network. I can't remember which network. we used to sing this in the band I was in when it was popular when in college. This was a 1977 hit I believe.
I see that you both identify with this song. My husband and I do too, even after 41 years. Great choice!
"Still The One." The Original! Long before Shania Twain! 😂
I'm amazed at the baritone singer at the end of the song. Powerful singing voice.
My husband and I requested this song be our song dedication to each other at our reception. It really applies to us. We’ve known each other since we were 7yo, in 3rd grade and lost touch, ended up working at the same place, went to college, got together over holiday break, dated for 3 years, moved in together 3 years before getting married! We’ve just celebrated 31 years married in January! We’ve got 3 sons and 1 daughter! We’ve had our ups and downs but we complement each other. We’re proof that opposites attract!
Hi Shawn & Mel: Orleans evolved from a band that began in Ithaca, NY. The Kelly family originated here, Sherman, the oldest of 4, wrote “Dancin’ in the Moonlight.” Younger brother Wells (drummer in my first band) went on to drum for Orleans. I am not exactly sure where that name originated, but Larry Hoppen (the guy with the incredible high voice) attended Ithaca College. Too long ago, I found myself in the Kelly basement and witnessed Wells practicing drums in a space he hollowed out in the house’s foundation . Their father was Dean of Architecture at Cornell University. Thank you for bring back lots of memories.
I love another song by Orleans -Dance With Me ( Midnight Special).
Omg I love this song 🎵 love your reaction ♥. Thx for sharing.
OMG.. this song makes you want to get in the car and just drive.. having fun
Oh God! This was my Papi's aka Larry song. 🤗 We were Besties for 15-16 years and he had the nerve to up and passed away 2 years ago this past February. I miss and still Love Every SINGLE day. Dios los bendiga y Te AMO Papi. 🥺💔🎶🙏
I wanted to let everyone know that my heart surgery went great!!!! I happy it’s over!! Thank you all for the prayers n love!!
Imagine standing in the studio listening to the playback of this song for the first time! A veritable hit! The lyrics, harmonies, guitar parts and a gorgeous ending. Yikes!
When I was 14 I won this Album from our local radio station. They asked who sang The Thrill Is Gone and I was the first caller with B.B.King and won
Our school had a car wash and even had the neighbors singing and dancing to this.
The songs of the 1970's, all different types of songs and a lot of groups then, the music was NICE!!
This was a popular and upbeat song - it would lift people's moods and make them feel happy 😃😄🙃🙂!
Sounds quality sounds like the little radio I used to carry around in my pocket when I was a kid.
Good stuff! Had fun with yall on this one too! Man you guys are lucky to have each other.
I’ve been married for 21 years. It’s hard work, but so worth it. We are each other’s reasoner, best friends. Not afraid to tell each other when things are bad, or change my mind when I am wrong
They're from Woodstock, NY. Their music was inspired by Louisiana musicians hence the name. My husband & my song. 45 years later he's still the one🥰
This is such a great song!! Anyone who has been in a relationship has those moments when you just don’t want to see the person’s face again lol…but it’s just a moment and then you are right back in love. For the most part lol
The Lady is Correct!!!
Nice one, you two! The group had you guys in mind when they composed it!
Great to see you both back , looked for you and missed you , God bless
Bring back memories of my childhood great song
😁😁😁 As always guy's!! Keep em comin!
The band was formed in Woodstock New York. By John Hall and Larry Hoppen. John Hall is a former US congressman from New York. King of the harmony guitars, also a very nice man.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Your stereo sound is very tinny.
The ups & downs of a typical relationship. If a couple can wake up & look at each other for the next 50 yrs. & say, "You're still the one", then go for it.
I play this song for my wife all the time.
This song was used by ABC TV network to promote their TV comedy lineup in the late 70s-early 80s.
When this comes on the radio, I sing along to it, looking at my husband. But he doesn’t know the words. Lol we’ve been married 48+ years.
Wow! Loved this song
What an Amazing song
ABC TV used this song in their program promotions, from 1977-80.
Love the song and get that when couples get mad at each other they think they dont want to see the other again, thats normal but if you love them you work through it and they will always be the one and still the one
Other Orleans songs are "Dance With Me: and "Love Takes Time"
No bass on audio guys ✌
I don't like when guys are gone,I was worried welcome back.
The 70's were awesome! So glad you react to those songs! Go O's (whenever they start)
51 years later and he’s “still the one”!
One of my faves!!!
Orleans, amazing song and very good group and awesome reaction guys.-[orleans-dance with me-if i don't have you]-[also my like-[king harvest-dancing in the moonlight-she keeps me high] thank you S&M have a amazing day.

⭐️💝 B E S T. S O N G. E V E R. . . . S T I L L !!! ~. 43 Years of Togethernesses and HE IS STILL THE ONE!!! 💝⭐️
💕 With all my love, always ~ Laura 💕
❤️ 🥰❤️ S and M HIT SQUAD IS THE BEST!!! ❤️🥰❤️
WE LOVE ❤️ but, don't ALWAYS like each other, LOL!!
Come on now, y'all gotta react to Leon Russell's 'Lady Blue'. Shawn, you can hold Mel's hand on that one!!!!
This used to be used as a theme song for Channel 13 News here in Baltimore
ABC once used this tune one Year to promote their new tv shows.
This is my and my husband's song! We have been married for 34 years!
Back when network television was all we had, the fall lineup preview was a big deal. ABC chose this song for their intro. Really gave them a bigger boost💵 than radio airplay. People started going record shops asking wh they were🎼🔥
About time! We were worried. 🥺
This had a lot of radio play. I hear it on commercials
You're still the one that can scratch my itch.
shawn you will love this song i think you will put it on your play list brook benton so many ways
Great to you
You two love ballads and love songs and you appreciate really good voices like Linda Ronstadt‘s blue by you so I’m telling you right now you have to react to Barbra Streisand singing Evergreen and you have to pull up the version that was in a movie she was in and she’s singing it live but in the recording studio you will never forget her voice once you hear it
A great band love this song! Dance with me is my favorite! Hahahaha you make me mad but you're still the one 🙂
We're Still Having Fun..........
This song fits ya'll so well.
RIP Larry Hoppen...
ABC also used this song for their Promo.
I don't know if these guys are from New Orleans, but I DO know a band called Louisiana's LeRoux who had a hit called "New Orleans Ladies"... I saw them live in a little dive just outside of Macon, and they had to play that song three times IN A ROW! Check 'em out, guys.
Great song
Great one!! 💖💙🙂
don't miss their song "dance with me".
